Thank You U.S.A!

The New York Times "Presidential Map", November 7, 2012
Florida is still undecided (all votes have not been counted yet), but leaning towards Obama.

Support for marriage equality won in all four states where there were referendums on that issue!
(P.S. J.M.G just reported that the count of the ballots in the referendum in Washington state has not been completed yet, although things look good.)
UPDATE: Washington state has now declared that marriage equality won in the referendum!

I couldn't stay awake long enough last night to get the result of the presidential election but it was althemore sweet to wake up to the news in the morning!

Governor Romney gave a nice concession speech and president Obama gave an awesome victory speech. Life is wonderful, living is beautiful and exciting!

Thank you so much my sisters and brothers in the U.S!

  1. I fell asleep watching the results... But for some reason I woke up just at the moment that CNN declared Obama the winner. Now normally it takes me some time to wake up, but now I was instantly awake and I need to apologize to my neighbors for the loud cheers coming from my house :)
Just like my dear Bockilein I wish to thank my friends in the US for this result. I also have some republican friends over there and I can understand that they might disappointed right now. To them I say you are one country and as far as I'm concerned you still are the greatest nation in the world. Now it's time to come together and shake each other's hand.

    1. Hear, hear! (That´s my son! Clever isn't he? He has it from his dear dads - both the one in first life and the one in SecondLife.)

  2. They just announced victory in Washington State for same-sex marriage. Add one to the list! Minnesota is also a big victory, since a constitutional amendment did not pass which would forbid same-sex marriage.

The next victory-- California. We need to see what the U.S. Supreme Court does in the Proposition 8 ruling.

    1. Yes, the similarities between the two maps are striking and thought-provoking, but we must also remember that Abraham Lincoln, the president that abolished slavery in the U.S. and fought a war to defend the union, was the first president of the republican party.
