Scientists Find Female Penis in Nature

In desolate caves throughout Brazil live insects that copulate for days, the female's penetrating erectile organ sticking fast in a reluctant male's genital chamber until he offers a gift of nutritious semen. Neotrogla seems to be unique among species with reversed sex roles — with choosy males and aggressive, promiscuous females — in also having swapped anatomy, researchers report.

The insect Neotrogla was first described in 2010.

Entomologist Charles Lienhard at the Geneva Museum of Natural History in Switzerland recognized them as a new genus — and also as possessing unusual genitalia. The team's work describing the reproductive practices of four separate species of Neotrogla is published in Current Biology recently.

So first they took our pants and now they are starting to take our penises too, where will this end? Will the male gender become utterly redundant as time goes by?

The Biggest Pseudo-Event of the Century

Today Germany crushed Brazil with 7-1 in one of the semifinals of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in football (the International variety where you actually aren't allowed to use your hands, not the American kind).

You don't even have to try to remember it, because you will never be allowed to forget it. It's going to be hashed out over-and-over-and-over again and repeated to you endlessly until the day you die no matter how much you should try to protect yourself and avoid the subject.

The World According to the Internet

Created by The Oxford Internet Institute (OII)
I found this interesting and thought provoking map on Joe.My.God. Click it to enlarge.

What struck me first was that I had no idea that 41-50 % of the Chinese population had access to the Internet. 41 percent would mean that at least 550 millions of the country's total population of 1,4 billions.

The second observation was that Africa has no real presence on the Internet yet, except for in the far north and the far south of the continent.

Thirdly, I wondered out loud, "Where the fuck is Norway?"

In a comment on Joe.My.God., someone said that almost all Internet users in Brazil and Venezuela are gay, so now I am wondering if that really can be true?

If it is, I sure am going there for vacations next time. This phrase may finally be useful if I decide to go, "Ei você hunk bonita de um homem, eu posso jogar com o seu Internet depois?"
