Safe In My Hands - Eli Lieb

(via J.M.G.)

Eli Lieb sings his song in a commercial for an auto insurance company. I couldn't find the full song anywhere yet and this animated version is really cool. Enjoy!

Gallery Assis - Experience Erotica

On Sunday afternoon (local time) I visited Eli Wallace's art gallery "Gallery Assis - Experience Erotica" (SLurl) in SecondLife.

The first thing to take in when you get there is the futuristic and beautiful architecture of the gallery itself.
The second is to make sure you find all the wonderful art photography that is exhibited there. The interior of the building is wonderfully confusing and made me think of the refrain of an old Dr. Hook song:
"And when your body's had enough of me
And I'm laying flat out on the floor
When you think I've loved you all I can
I'm gonna love you a little bit more"

The gallery exhibits many artists without bias towards sexual orientation. Yesterday there were at least three-four gay or lesbian photographers and even more heterosexual and/or unclear ones. I will show you a little of what can be seen there, but not any individual piece, because I want you all to visit and experience the gallery and the art for yourself.

When the Europeans Are Asleep...

...some of the best parties happen - without us!

This morning I woke up at around six thirty (6:30AM ) local time after a good nights sleep. I decided to log in to SecondLife to see what was happening at this ungodly hour for us Europeans.

Well let me tell you, everyone else was awake (meaning the Australian, New Zealanders, Asians and North and South Americans) and they were all partying without us. Can you imagine that? It seems the best parties happen when we are asleep, dammit.

My old friend Sarco sent me an invitation to his set at Club Echoes, so I went of course after getting Bock in working order (see previous post), and hauling Jared Palianta's sorry ass with me. (Well, it was the other way around actually because he got there before me. Dressing is not easy for me, even if I am not as bad as some others I could mention but choose not to... yet.)

Sarco's music was - as always - brilliant and we all had a great time. I and Sarco took the opportunity to get updated on each other's loves, lives and how we juggle them.

Here are some more pictures.

Sarco, looking better than ever - he must be working out...
When the party ended I realized I need some more sleep, so I hit the sack again to sleep for another two hours.

"Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom"

Benjamin Glendale was kind enough to send me this press release for his upcoming exhibition.

"Commencing from May 18th 12 noon SLT at Gallery Assis is hosting Benjamin Glendale's new collection of images "Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom".

A long time resident of Second Life, Benjamin is rediscovering exploration in Second Life and taking snaps of his adventures, primarily for his own enjoyment but also to be shared with others. Ben doesn't confine himself to one form of image over another, he takes photographs of people and/or places, landscapes or buildings, as inspired by his surroundings and the events taking place.

The collection at Gallery Assis is entitled "Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom". Comprising five pictures, it hopes to capture the spirit of Tom of Finland imagery. All in a monochromatic retro style, it features scenes of overt masculinity, fun and plain hot sexiness, as it shows Ben's adventures working the farm and the men he meets there. Thanks go to the guys who own and run The Stud Farm, which was used as location for the images.

The exhibition (...) exhibits together with new collections by Erik Bayn and Joseph Nussbaum. To launch the event there is a 1950's party at the Gallery, hosted by gallery owner Eli Wallace (dress code Jailhouse Rock - 1950s)."
