Holtwaye: Molly Bloom's “Rock 'n' Roll ” - UPDATED

Molly Bloom's “Rock 'n' Roll” opens today Saturday April 18th, 6 PM SLT, at Holtwaye Gallery, with live music by the band The Follow.

UPDATE: The time has had to be changed to 7-9 PM after the band withdrew because they were shocked by demonic naked women's tits and asses. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Kodey from 7 PM SLT and a live performance by "Down Under" from 8 PM SLT.
"Molly Bloom is known for her compelling 3D-like imagery in SL, and her latest show “Rock n Roll” at Holtwaye puts her on the map again with musically inspired pieces.  Is it possible to be raw, wild, and sophisticated simultaneously?  Seems to be here - Molly is no stranger to the rock n roll scene herself, and it shows in the compositions she’s masterfully staged.  If these images don’t literally reach out and grab you into the rock ’n roll scene, then not sure what will."

That must be one of the silliest reasons for cancelling a gig that I have ever encountered in both my lives. Shame on The Follow.

Wild Things Tea Party

GAWD, it really takes it's toll on a man to be gay!

We must always dress appropriately - and preferably look stunning - for every occasion. I guess it must be a burden placed on us to even out the privilege we have of being able to love the pinnacle of natures creations, the wonderful, delicious and adorable creatures that are the human males.

I got this invitation to the opening of a new exhibition at Holtwaye Gallery.
To help celebrate the opening of Wayne NZ's new exhibit "Art in a Box," we’re hosting a “Wild Things Tea Party” on Saturday October 4, 2014, at 2 PM.

This exhibit illustrates Wayne’s earthy and fantasy style, with references to woodland fantasy creatures, angels, faeries, hillside dwellings, the great outdoors, and of course, tea & cupcakes!
Calling your inner playful and wild-things side! Come in your woodsy outfits, your wild hair, your capes, your loincloths, your creative tea party outfits, or even just your pointy ears - and join our “wild things tea party.” Not sure what to wear? Check out the amazing Wild Things cards below…

Yours truly will be there - of course - with hubby and son. Tomais found me a great outfit, now I only need to find amazing accessories...

Your gilded cage awaits you for a safe transport to Holtwaye Gallery (SLurl).

Hanging with LP & Guyke

Tomais was away in first life on family business on Saturday so I hung out with my son and his beau LP.

Besides talking and getting to know one another, Guyke and I taught LP how to say Guyke's name correctly [gheee-caa], which rhymes with the Spanish word for girl "chica".

I also entered LP into "The Laird's School of Animation", the class of Hugging.101. I am still hopeful that he will ultimately be successful.
I - and later LP and Guyke - then went on to the Holtwaye Gallery event. As I was entering the venue JJ took the picture below. That man is really fast and an excellent photographer, who always manages to make me look great.

Fifty Shades of Pink

This great little video above was made by LP Kidd for the Holtwaye Gallery of yesterdays "Be Our Art- Pink Edition" party.

And although others where chosen as the winners of the "Best in Pink" contest by the judges - who I'm sure were impartial and objective - my personal favorites were Fordis & Slam. The two, in my humble opinion, showed proof of an absolutely impeccable and extraordinarily exquisite taste in their choice of outfits for the event.

The New Black

Be afraid, be very afraid, of what you may encounter at the "Be Our Art - Pink Edition"-party at The Holtwaye Gallery this afternoon, 2-4 PM SLT, with DJ Coop.

"The new black" is a reference to the phrase "pink is the new black", which spawned multitudes of snowclones." (Wikipedia)
