Forget Yesterday

Some days are just crappy, whatever one does or tries everything just turns out wrong or goes sour. Yesterday I was in a peculiar mood. Not tired, angry or sad or anything seriously bad, just edgy, restless and oversensitive. A remark here or there would just get me me in a foul state.

I avoided Butch all evening because he pissed me off with a remark he made early on - or perhaps didn't make. All the while I was ashamed for doing so because he had every right saying what he did or didn't say.

Another guy made a remark about me at The Grenouille Inn on the Yadkin sim, something to the effect that "Now Bock is going to do his usual faggoty thing", which for some reason totally set me off. So much so that if he had been in the same room I would probably have kicked him in the balls, instead I thought what the hell and put on my red Prestige boots from Bax while dancing on a bar counter for his benefit, forgetting that there are always cameras in SecondLife. When I later saw that Helene had posted pictures of me in my Prestige boots on Facebook, that pissed me off too...

Today I am laughing at it all and wondering to myself what was going on. I'm leaving that behind and will tell you instead what was good about yesterday, although I sadly didn't take any pictures.

The good things yesterday included, but were in no way limited to,
  • A concert by the Swedish band KAOS that made its debut is SecondLife. It was a totally WOW-ing experience and I am looking forward to hearing more from them in the future. (For more information about them, videos etc. please visit their website KAOS).
  • Having a long talk with Dej and sensing that we could get along fine despite the fact that we were both in a crabby mood.
  • Visiting Romanum during their ongoing Wine Festival and finding a place to purchase new togas.
  • Re-friending Loch Wolfhunter, he has been away for awhile and had been culled from my friends list as one of those lost to first life. Fortunately he was a good sport and did not hold my culling against me.
  • Visiting the ongoing Boystown Pride.
  • Installing my new Dennis-dances from HUMANOID in my dance-HUD and loving them.
As Nina Simone sings "It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me... and I'm feeling good!"

Handsome Men in SecondLife

There are too many images of women on this blog right now for a gay male blogger, so I thought I would give you some male beauty too.

Let me first tell you that I am purposely leaving out my Ars from this short list, because I cannot look at him objectively. Secondly, I am not even going to pretend I remember all the handsome human faces I have seen in SecondLife, so these are just the ones that pop-up in my mind at this moment. I may continue the list at a later time though.

Cats are not included in this list for the obvious reason that there is only one cat that could make the list... ´nuff said...

So here are the three avatars I would like to introduce you to today (in no particular order).

Andrey Messmer, my beautiful Brazilian brother in-law (BIL). His looks change constantly, but he always remains stunning.

Fabrice Snook, is a stylish French avatar in SecondLife. I have never talked with Fabrice that I can remember and the only time I saw him personally he was a participant at a drag contest in one of the craziest outfits I have ever seen. This picture is from Fabrice´s profile.

Loch Wolfhunter, is a sexy Brit whom I first saw at one of my BIL´s sets. Andrey tells me he has the sexiest British accent he has ever heard and that he is a great builder. This picture is from his SecondLife profile.

Isn't it a bit strange that they are all gay?

Miss Wigstock 2010

I had a fabulous time last night!

I went to the 4th annual finals of "Miss Wigstock 2010" at the Marduk Theatre on the Pride-sim with my friends Millimina Salamander, Guyke Lundquist and Janttu Winkler. For a short while we were joined by one of the most handsome men in SL, the charmingly flirtatious Loch Wolfhunter.

The sim was soon filled to the limit and the lag was rough, but that has to be expected at popular events like this. Unfortunately I crashed on two occasions, but succeeded in coming back in, so I was still happy.

My main reason for going to this event was to support my brother in law Dejerrity Mycron, who was one of the finalists.

The nine contestants were all amazingly beautiful with gorgeous gowns and outfits, all done in a tongue-in-cheek way. The hairdos were particularily interesting and amusing.

Each of the contestants performed a party song and a torch song. The "Mistress of Ceremonies" was the always charming, but self-admittedly somewhat confused, Queen Edman. Queen was the one who brought the contest to SL from RL four years ago.

For a full and objective account of the occasion please go to Milliminas blog, "Magasin Millimina", because I only had eyes for Dej. For both songs Dej had chosen the classicly sublime gowns and hairdos that reminded us all of the glory days of Joan Crawford.

Dej was supported on the stage by his own back-up boys the always stunning Jeb Nicholls, another of my brother in laws, and the hot Protactinum Thor. (Alas the beautiful green gown did not rez properly for Millimina.)

The winner of the contest was MJshotboy Skytower, but I still think Dej was the best (but I admit I am not impartial in this matter).

Photos courtesy of Millimina Salamander, I was to busy to even think of taking pictures.
