And the Oscar Goes To...

... the Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm, prince of Cascade Falls, etc., etc., in not only one but two categories!

I won the Oscar's in the categories of Best Husband and Best Blogger. The jury consisted of my hubby Tomais Ashdene alone, so the choices are of course completely unbiased and cannot be disputed.

I in turn, being completely objective and totally ruthless awarded Tomais Ashdene the Oscars in the categories for Best Husband, Best FatherBest Photographer and Best Shoe Slut.

Millimina Approves!

I am studying my beautiful loved ones and trying to guess what is going on between them
Dimi & Mark Tarantello, DJ Sarco, Tomais and Millimina
Yesterdays SP Winter Ball took place in the beautiful ballroom that the amazing Jak Calcutt, SP Build Director, has set up in a magnificent castle over the Second Pride sim.

Jak must have had his little helper Karl Kalchek, SP Community Relations Director, polishing the floor for weeks. It was so shiny in fact that I was relieved that I did not go commando in my family tartan, which had been one of my clothing options for this illustrious evening.
Dej and I
Tomais and Guyke

My sister Millimina dropped in unannounced and unexpectedly to give Tomais the third degree. Both parties were extremely discreet, however Millimina later informed me that my chosen lover had been vetted and met with her approval. Jubilation!

More Than Third Rezday...

My wonderful, sweet and awesome sister Millimina Salamander first rezzed into SecondLife on December 6, 2008, which means that she today celebrates her... Ugh, I am terrible with really high numbers so let's just say she is more than three years old from this days onwards.

Without the love, support and encouragement of this delightfully crazy, marvelously bitchy and superbly humorous woman my life would be dismal. Millimina always (Always Millimina, and don't you forget it!) gives more energy than she takes to everyone around her, and to me more than to most others.

Happy more than third rezday, my darling sister! Love you always!

Celebrating Guyke's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Guyke's first life birthday, with cake and gifts and everything. At first it was just Guyke and I, then Butch joined us after a while.
My gift to Guyke was a bit improvised, but still... What does one give a guy who has e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g than can be bought, gifted or stolen in SecondLife? A new experience of course!

The experience I came up with was "in a shower with daddy and another guy and all are wearing clothes", So I forced Butch into the shower (which is kind of "uncharted territory" for him, I am saying no more!), pushed Guyke in after him and got in myself before shutting the door. I was there of course mainly as a chaperone to see to it that all was above board and decent...
Later on Heloq dropped in too and then - briefly but still - we were also joined by Guyke's aunt and my sister, the amazing Millimina (she is not in any picture because I was so surprised and overwhelmed).

Meeting Millimina

My beloved sister in SecondLife Millimina Salamander and I have not met much during the last few months. We have had different schedules and both of us have also had first life commitments to deal with. We have kept in touch by occasional e-mails but it is still not quite the same thing.

During the time we haven't met much, Millimina and the other Swedes living on Solace Island were, with short notice as always, evicted when the owner decided to shut down that sim. Three of the refugees from Solace Island,  Millimina and two of my other Swedish friends Apmel Goosson and Kandinsky Beaumont, in that situation decided to get their own homestead - Mount Whitney - and share it between themselves.

Yesterday I got a surprising Instant Message from Milli, who was in-world to pay her share of the monthly tier before some "very important" football match (that's soccer for you Americans) started on television. She asked if she could come by to talk a little and see my new home. I of course gladly welcomed this possibility to meet her again, even if it was only a brief meeting.

As it always is with old close friends we quickly caught up with what had been going on with each others life's and I showed her my new chateau. She of course loved it thoroughly, she also completely supported my decision to make the change and was not at all surprised that I had finally reached the point of no return. It felt good to have her support in this matter as some of my friends have been worrying about my somewhat "dramatic" and "surprising" decision to tear down the old home I had had together with Ars and put up this new building in it's place.
After a tour of my new home we teleported over to her new place so that I could take a look at it. It was quite a change from the place Millimina had previously owned at Solace Island but I fell in love with it. You can follow what she is made of the new place on her blog "Magasin Millimina".
As opposed to many "hausfraus" or even silly gay men in SecondLife (read as me, myself and I) she has understood that one does not need a house with a bathroom, kitchen bedrooms etc. in SecondLife. You need a place you love that is designed after your own liking which you can use as a starting and ending point, entertain friends at and rez stuff in. She hired a wonderful and talented landscaper Kaja Lurra to work with her on her vision of a place based on the word "abandoned". It has become a wonderful little place in a run-down and deserted sort of way,
However, I am maintaining that Millimina has built a bedroom and all the other rooms in some of the many containers that are standing in her abandoned harbour, these are of course also where she has stored her vast collection of sex-gens. I don't care if she denies it, because thats my story and I am sticking to it!

Our meeting ended with reciprocal assurances that we must meet more often in the future and that we would invite the other to a housewarming part as soon as possible before Millimina had to log off to see that oh so important football match on television. She is a complete and utter sports freak!

Solace Island Goes Out with a Bang

It is sometimes said that "All good things must come to an end, the bad ones just go on forever". I always hated that expression and I do not believe it is true. However, some good things do sometimes come to an end and if that happens it is, in my not so humble opinion, better if it goes out with a bang and not a whimper.

Solace Island has, since it was first established as a Swedish stronghold in SecondLife in the early days, been an institution that for a very long time was only paralleled by the Swedish Embassy sims through the avatars that inhabited the place more than anything else. In later years another Swedish stronghold has grown up around Iendi Laville and her Yadkin sims.

The Swedish Embassy - alas - went out with a whimper through a bureaucratic decision and without any closing ceremonies whatsoever. Not so with Solace Island, the inhabitants would never allow that.

Yesterday Apmel Goosson, Kandinsky Beaumont and Millimina Salamander invited us all over to say goodbye to Solace Island with a huge bang. They were assisted in this by the performance artist Ms. SaveMe Oh, who made it a mission of mercy to see to it that it did not go unnoticed. She may have a heart after all, although I know many among the cultural elitists in SecondLife who would adamantly deny it.

When I first landed on the sim yesterday my graphic card was assaulted by an attack of white penises and other rubbish which made me think "Has the woman finally crossed the line into complete and utter madness?". As it turned out it was a griefer-attack by some pathetic soul who wanted to get back on the venerable and admittedly obnoxious Ms. Oh, but without her refinement.

Once the griefer had been dealt with those of us who were there had a wonderful time. SaveMe Oh put up a tremendous show and had us in the audience running from a white box to a black boxes through rows of onlooking donkeys (black box) or sheep (white box). If you happen to see an extremely manly shape hanging by one ankle under three balloons in the pictures below, that's me!

Thank you for the party dear family and friends Millimina, Apmel and Kandinsky.

I have been informed that you have made plans for a new home, but if there should be a delay in moving in please know that I would always be happy to offer a temporary home for the refugees from Solace Island on Southern Charm. I could always knock up a trailer park at the location where the barn is, if you do not want to sleep in the comfortable barn itself.

J'Accuse...!

I blame Apmel! It's all his fault!

I blame Apmel, for drawing the attention of the Linden Gods to the existence of Solace Island by his art installation of penises!
Evidence photo by Kandinsky Beaumont,
neighbor, victim, evicted,homeless person
I blame Apmel, for drawing the attention of the whole art community and LEA to the existence of Solace Island by his constant defense of the obnoxious performance artist SaveMe Oh!
M Linden and SaveMe Oh, photo by the obnoxious artist herself
I blame Apmel, for drawing the attention of the moral majority and all decent avatars in-world to Solace Island by constantly running around naked - not only at his home sim - but also at every major art event in SecondLife since the beginning of SLT.
CENSORED BY BLOGGER
Through the above mentioned actions and more I blame Apmel for causing the eviction of my sister Millimina, my friend Kandinsky and many more from the Solace Island sim. I can well understand the Linden Gods for finally losing their patience with Apmel and putting pressure on the sim owners to shut down the place.

Come to Solace Island (SLurl) today at 2 PM SLT, to help Millimina, Kandinsky and the others to pack up their stuff and to blame Apmel for causing this disaster!

It's all Apmel's fault!

My Radio Interview

Recently my ex-missus (from the April Fools Day prank) Iendi Laville asked me if I would consider being interviewed on her weekly radio show on her radio channel Iendi's Transistor in SecondLife.

After thinking about it for a moment I happily accepted.  We agreed to do it live and without any limitations as to which questions could be asked by Iendi or the audience. As I told Iendi, "I am a big boy, if I do not like or wish to answer a particular question I will say so when it is asked."
My sister Millimina Salamander and my buddy Apmel Ibetsson came to give me support
The interview started at 12 PM SLT today and lasted for approximately an hour, but the time passed extremely fast. I am not quite sure how it went really, but Iendi and I had a good time talking although I can hardly remember what we talked about. I will have to listen to it when Iendi posts it on the radio's blog, Iendis Transistor..The interview was in Swedish so I am afraid most of you will not understand much of it.
After the interview I danced with Blanche Argus
with Holy Archer looking on in the background

My Lovely Ars

Ars Northmead (October 25, 2006 - March 12, 2010)
in first life also known as
J.D. "Doug" Wilson (April 21, 1953 - March 12, 2010)
in loving memory
For Christmas 2009 I gave my closest family members photo sessions with the renowned photographer Kent Hutchinson of KH Photography

Ars was the first to make an appointment with Kent and have his pictures taken. About a week later Kent invited us back to the studio to look at the proofs and to select which four pictures we wanted out of the 20 that were on display there.

Ars, Millimina and I went to the studio together, I had butterflies in my stomach and was nervous that Ars would be disappointed with the results. I needn't have worried. Kent had done a splendid job in capturing the essence of my lovely Ars. After taking only one look at them all, I told Kent that we wanted all of them. Every single one.

Although Ars and I had been together for two years at the time and I loved him deeply, seeing the pictures - especially the one I am using in this post - made me fall in love with him all over again.

Coming Together

Yesterday I had invited a small and carefully selected group of family and friends to join me at Southern Charm to commemorate the third anniversary of Ars' passing. The real day is tomorrow, March 12, but as you all know it is usually easier for people to make time during the weekends.
Dej, Millimina, I, Shayne & Sarco
Those invited were
Guyke Lundquist, Ars' son,
Dej Mycron, Ars' brother,
Andrey Messmer (nowadays known as Drey Porchers), Ars' brother,
Jeb Nicholls, Ars' brother,
Shayne Turbo, Ars' brother in-law and husband of Jeb
Millimina Salamander, Ars' sister in-law and my sister, and last but not least,
Sarco Halderman, Ars' business partner and both our friend.
Sarco, Guyke & I
I was so fortunate that all except two could attend despite it being held on the day that the United States started Daylight Saving Time and the fact that Sarco had to get up at six o'clock on a Monday morning. Jeb unfortunately had a prior engagement and Drey could sadly not be reached.

The six of us who could make it had a nice time together,  exchanging memories of Ars and catching up with what had been going on in the others first and second lives.

Hurt Feelings

Joe Jervis,
closet heterosexual?
It is so unfair!

Every time I try to tip +Joe Jervis @ J.M.G. about anything whatsoever he n-e-v-e-r  e-v-e-r publishes it, but every time my sister Millimina tips him, he runs it!

Am I wrong in suspecting that Joe Jervis may actually be a closeted heterosexual or does he simply hate me? And why the hell are all cute men always taken or straight or both?

Yes, you may now officially call me a drama queen of the first degree!

P.S. Congratulations Milli, looking forward to seeing you this evening!

Hi-a-tus-es

Hi·a·tus  /haɪˈeɪtəs/ noun, plural hi·a·tus·es. (Dictionary.com)

The term hiatus has suddenly turned into a very popular word among my immediate family and friends in SecondLife. At this time I have five of those closest to me on a hiatus, they are my brother in-law Drey, my buddy Butch, my stepson Guyke, my sister Millimina and my buddy Ziggy. Their reasons for this decision vary.

Drey has just vanished and doesn't respond to messages, so his reasons are still unclear, but they usually occur when he has a lot of stuff going on in his first life.

Butch is on a sort of semi-hiatus because of first life occurrences.

Guyke is on a hiatus to enjoy the feeling of cuddling up close to a warm man.

Millimina is on one due to a busy first life also.

And finally Ziggy because of painful health issues in first life - which are hopefully going to be taken care off by skillful surgeons of the Canadian Nation Health Care very soon.

In my humble (well maybe not all that humble...) opinion the five of them would be better off if they took a hiatus from their first lives instead of SecondLife, because their is no better place to be than in-world (preferably with me) if you want to relax from the stresses of a busy first life, as evidenced by the wonderful picture by Millimina that i am using in this post.

Email to the Wilson´s

From: X.X.
Sent: December 15, 2012 8:53 PM
To: Debbie.X.
Subject: Happy Holidays
Dearest Debbie, Marie and the rest of my American family,

We have another Christmas and New Year coming up and I wish you all the best for the holidays and the coming year. I hope this email reaches you all in good health and that you are all doing well!

In my first life, 2012 has been a kind and consoling year and it seems that I, in spite of a few bad turns during the year, will be meeting it will all my loved ones still with me. My mother and father have both been hospitalized during the year but are both now doing very well and are – as always – enjoying each other’s company. I have two more grandnieces/grandnephews as my sisters children continue to multiply.

On a personal level I am doing well too. Although I still think of Doug/Ars on a daily basis it is now happy memories that appear in my mind. You should also know, that whenever I think of him I also think about you. Of course I already knew that you were an extraordinary family but recounts of other peoples experiences in similar circumstances have made it quite obvious to me that you are unique. The warmth, kindness and consideration with which the Wilson family received me and accepted me in such a difficult situation is still unparalleled by anything I have yet heard of. I will be forever grateful to you for that.

My SecondLife is also doing well, Guyke, Millimina and Dej are still close, in fact Dej has moved in and set up house on the south west corner of Southern Charm sim. I am sure all three of them and Jeb also send you their warmest greetings for the holidays and the new year.

With love and big hugs!
Bock

Seasonal Chores

The time has come to prepare for the traditional - well for those of us belonging to the Western European and Judeo-Christian culture - seasonal celebrations. As an atheist Swede, who was  born into our secular lutheran church, I am of course referring to Christmas and New Year.

For Ars, as for many other Americans, decorating - or even over-decorating - for the any of the holidays was a cherished obligation. He used to go completely bonkers and we had colored lights, poinsettias, christmas trees etc, etc, all over the place. I am more low-key, much more.

One of the things I do like to do however is sending out greetings to friends and family, even those I haven't been in touch with for months or even years. I still love them and think of them its just complacency, life and other obligations that has caused a - temporary - breach in the daily or at least regular contact.

Another thing I like is having a get-together before people get immersed in their first life families and obligations. This year I had delegated to - or rather pressured - Millimina and Guyke to handle the party, alas they could not get their scheduled synchronized so the party will have to be in the New Year instead, which is fine by me too because a party when people get back to SecondLife is just as good.

Well, to come to the point, yesterday I went to Calas Galadhon (I always go there) to take pictures for my card. I had a great time with myself and the camera in the Firestorm viewer.

Millimina´s 4th Rezday

Believe it or not, but today is actually the fourth rezday of my wonderful younger sister Millimina Salamander. She rezzed into SecondLife on December 6, 2008.

I am not quite sure when we met, but I know where it was. I was at a Bara Jonson gig when I suddenly got an instant message from an unknown woman. It was in Swedish so I understood she had read my profile. I cannot remember what she said or what we talked about, but I knew that I was in love, platonically of course because I had Ars waiting for me at home.
Millimina by Kent Hutchinson (KH Photography)
After that day we have talked, cried, laughed and hugged constantly and I hope we will do so for many, many years to come still.

When I am old and Millimina is still ageless we have agreed that we will settle down together in a a villa in Tuscany, Italy. I have promised Millimina that she will have her own private chauffeur, a younger man of portuguese origin with a past as a professional football player. (And I mean real football, what the Americans call soccer.)

Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made.
Robert Browning (1812-1889)

Happy rezday my darling Millimina, love you always!

Family Meetings

Monday was spent with meetings and conversations with family members. In one of the conversations the following remark was uttered, "Your nuts are safe with me". Guess which one!

My sister Millimina and I
My stepson Guyke and I
My brother in-law Dej and I
