Snubbed Again!

"That tired old spiteful German tart, she has done it again!"

The Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm, prince of Cascade Falls, Sovereign Ruler of the Commonwealth of Southern Enchantment Region and Outer Territories and finally UN appointed Protector of the Mount Whitney sim in SecondLife, has been frantically repeating that sentence all day, to anyone who cared to listen.

It is of course the lack of an invitation to today's Nobel prize ceremony and banquet that has upset the laird. He blames Silvia, the Queen of Sweden, and their long-lasting feud for being snubbed yet again.

This year the Commonwealth of Southern Charm even sent a delegation to the Nobel Prize Committee and the Royal Court of Sweden to ensure an invitation. Alas the mission was unsuccessful as no one could convince the queen to forgive the laird.

The Foreign Ministry of Southern Charm today summoned the Swedish Ambassador, her excellency Ms Kandinsky Beaumont, to meet with Wild Zepp, Minister of the Exterior, to inform her of the lairds great displeasure over this continued animosity and hostility.

Unsuccessful Journey

The Much Honored Bock McMillan. laird of Southern Charm and Prince of Cascade Falls, returned from his journey to Stockholm today. Apparently the visit with the king of Sweden and the Nobel Prize Committee had not been successful. No invitation to the Nobel Prize banquet had been solicited.

"Pietà with Courtney Love" by David LaChapelle

"The only worthwhile thing that happened", said the laird, "was that I could see the photographer David LaChapelle´s exhibition ´Burning Beauty´, it was powerful even if I cannot say I liked it much. But who said you have to love everything?"

Snow Over S.C. - World Cut Off

Snow has been falling heavily over Southern Charm in first life since midday Friday. The amounts of snow that have fallen have virtually cut off the world.

In an effort to save the world the Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm (in both first and SecondLife) - and prince of Cascade Falls, has ordered all of his noble population to the rescue work.

Technicians and engineers are already working hard to keep logins and teleports open. The rest of the nobility will be given shovels and snow mobiles to dig out the world and thus save it from this imminent catastrophe. It is not yet fully known how long the world will survive being deprived contact with Southern Charm, but the best estimates show that the danger is immediate.

Besides saving the world there is another reason for the drastic measure of supplying the lazy nobility with shovels. The lairds planned trip to Stockholm - starting tomorrow - for a state visit with His Majesty Charles XVI Gustavus, king of Sweden, and a crisis meeting with The Nobel Prize Committee are at risk of being cancelled. (It seems the laird´s invitation to the prize ceremonies on December 10 has yet again gone astray.)

I was snubbed by Philip Linden

WTF???

Today I read on PetGirl Bergmans blog, "Tinas universum", that the meeting promised by Philip Linden a few weeks ago had already taken place and I never got an invitation to the event or a chance to sign up to take part.

I am already used to being overlooked by the Nobel Prize Committee and the Swedish Royal Household, but what did I do - or not do - to deserve this?

This really pisses me off, Philip and Linden Lab! And it raises a few questions in my mind!

Why was the meeting held in secret?
Where should I have signed up, if it wasn´t a secret?
Who got the honour of being included or invited to the meeting?
How was the selection of whom to include/invite to the meeting made and what were the grounds for selection?
Which blog should I follow in the future to see invitations to possible new meetings, because it sure was not the Second Life blog?

Please note! I am not claiming my presence at the meeting would be essential or have had a dramatic effect or even that I would have attended. But I sure as hell would have liked to have a chance...

P.S. Where do I find Philips e-mail so I can contact him and give him my view on things if I should chose to do so? ...and does my favourite interim CEO ever read my blog, I wonder?

P.P.S. And yes Philip, I am also looking forward to see your avatars look change in the future!
