GA WinterFest Awards Today at 10 AM SLT

Oh lordie, lordie, this will be exciting, this could be a great day for the the laird and his consort!

There will be an award ceremony today at the GA WinterFest for Best Booth Contest and the Best Photography Contest. 

I know that my Tomais entered into the photo contest by sending in his contribution. I also know that didn't apply anywhere for the booth contest, but who knows, perhaps no application was needed for that!.

I am late to the party as I have been over in Copenhagen being soothed and commiserated upon by my BFF Margrethe II, Queen of Denmark. We share a mutual dislike for that other Scandinavian queen. So Margrethe invited me over to her digs at Amalienborg Castle for a few days.

We spent two wonderful days and a night together sharing horror stories and eating fast food and snacks in our pajamas only waited upon by a former who has gone completely deaf.

But I a dallying, on with the real subject of this post, the GA WinterFest that started yesterday and will continue until December 21st.

The theme of this years WinterFest is "Gay Archipelago 2034" and it will consist of 10 whole days of events around the clock.

GA WinterFest Today: The FIGB Benefit Party

Fire Island Gay Beach, RGF Estates and Master S&M Estates invite you to party with us to celebrate the Gay Archipelago Winter Festival 2013 at the festival main stage.
We have DJ Korvon Zaver Staheli spinning the tunes for you from 9am to 12pm SLT with host Coy Nolan who will be pleased to welcome you.

After the party we join the live performance of Jaynine Scarborough, sponsored by Essences & {S0NG} mainstores.

The donations and tips of the party will be forwarded to the Lefevre & Hernandoz Foundation for the Aids-Hilfe Essen e.V. as with previous events too.

I first misread this and thought that this event was at 9PM SLT and was sad to miss it, but now I know its at 9AM I most certainly will be there!

My sincere apologies to the organizers for the late publication.

Hello! My name is Garth Raleigh and I am the Lead of the Gay Archipelago in Second Life (fondly referred to as the GA). I'm writing to you today to extend an invitation to YOU to JOIN in the planning and operation of the upcoming LGBT Winter Festival in Second life!

The GA is widely considered to be the leader in the LGBT Community in this virtual platform and, as in past years we're getting set to present the SL Community with a major festival which will be enjoyed by thousands of people - from all over the real world and all over Second Life!

There'll be fun and entertainment for each and every taste; music, shopping; exhibits - and well......whatever YOUR ideas are can become reality. This IS Second Life, after all. ㋡

GA Winter Festival 2012 - December 8-16

My friend Garth Raleigh at the Gay Archipelago has kindly sent me this invitation to share with you all.

"It is with great pleasure that the Winter Festival, 2012 - 'ICE AGE' Team invites you to attend the Opening Festivities of the Festival! 

Please join us for the event in which we will enjoy an amazing performance by George Michael beginning at 12pm slt followed by the incomparable Ricky Martin at 1pm slt.
