"OneLove Events" - Grand Opening

Well my friends tomorrow November 27th, 2010, is the grand opening of "OneLove Events", the joint venture of my friends Iendi Laville and Apollon Allen.

The party starts at 1.00 PM SLT (se program), and if I were you I would be there in time. From all accounts I am getting the sim will get overcrowded faaaaaast.

Dress code is: Flamboyant

For more information and updates please visit their website OneLove Events.

You have probably already seen a few sneak previews of the amazing work Iendi and Apollon have done on their new sim on some of the other Swedish SL-bloggs recently. Ofcourse all those bloggers claim to have been invited beforehand, but we all now that ain´t true don´t we... This blogger is, as you all know by now, a very timid and bashful person that does not go gatecrashing and disturb friends in their important work.

There is a reason people always tell me I am the most patient man in SecondLife! (And yes I can hear Ars, Guyke and the rest of my family in SecondLife and real life laughing out loud at this statement as they always do - but don´t pay any attention to them.)

Unfortunately I am logging into RL for a weekend of mahjong with three other fanatics, so I can cannot be there for the grand opening but I will for sure be there often in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving

I wish all my American friends and readers a marvelous Thanksgiving!

I couldn´t  find a better picture of a turkey, so I give you David Beckham instead. Imagine Beckham naked covered in cranberry sauce - now wouldn´t that be just lovely...

It´s August Causing Trouble Again

Who would think that the Swedish playwright and novelist August Strindberg (1849-1912), who was a rebel and a troublemaker during his whole life, could continue to do so 98 years after his death.

I just read this piece on Joe.My.God. and I am struck dumb with astonishment and surprise by this bigotry and don´t really know if I should weep or laugh.

What amazes me most it´s happening at a university and in California, California State University Long Beach, I always thought universities and Californians were supposed to be open minded.

Taio for You and for Me

The wonderful Taio Cruz for you all, please enjoy!

Happy Birthday Apmels!

Today is the birthday of Lennart Nilsson, the real man behind the avatars Apmel Goosson, Uncle Ib. Apmelina, Robotina and last (as far as I know) - but in no way least - the-soon-to-be-sexy-just give-him-a-few-more- years Apmel Meerson also lovingly known as "Kludden" to his fans.

Collectively this gang of avatars are called the Apmels of Solace Island, well by me atleast.

Apmel has the longest standing Swedish blog about SecondLife, Min avatar heter Apmel (My avatars name is Apmel). It is a rich source of the more artistic, cultural and intellectual aspects of this world we all love so much.

Best wishes on your birthday Lennart and may you have many more to follow!

In a Generals Head

Ever since I got the privilege of organizing the Lucia pageant at the Swedish Embassy sims my life has been turned upside down. My head is constantly full of game plans at the moment -  and variations - for the big upcoming event.

It takes place on Sunday December 12th and I am thinking of revolutionizing the traditional celebration.

Some of the things I am considering at this moment are:

1. What if we set Lucia on fire at the end? Hell, we could even let the whole pageant go up in flames, wouldn´t that give a much needed rawness to the event?

2. Wouldn´t it be lovely if we have the pageant flying in - in beautiful formation - and doing tricks above the heads of the amazed crowds? The walking thing has been done too many times before, I am fed up with it and this is SecondLife after all!

3. How about if we had a blonde, stunningly handsome, titled man - possibly even a general - in the prime of his manhood as a Saint Lucio instead? That would shake it up a bit for sure!

4. What if we do the "Sankta Lucia-song" and the rest of those dreary old traditional tunes in House, Heavy Metal or Trance style instead, wouldn't´t that be cool?

5. We could even have a pageant of big muscular men scantily clad in black leather harnesses, thongs and knee high boots.

Or I could do a combination of all five variations...?

Ahhh so little time and so many ideas..

All I can say is, look out Second Norway and Tara Hill, you ain't seen nothing yet!
