R.I.P. Avacar Bluestar

This morning when I opened my email, I received the extremely sad news, in an offline group notice from SecondLife, that my friend Avacar Bluestar has passed away,

It brings me great sadness to tell you all this. But as of Friday the 14th  Avacar passed away in rl  dued to complications from heart surgery.  He will be missed by all and even more so by me.  I have shared 2 and half years with this man in sl. I came to know him in RL over the years. I thank you all very much

My thoughts and deepest sympathy go to Ricogenu, Avacar's longtime partner in SecondLife, and to Avacar's families and friends in both lives.

Rest in peace, Avacar, with the certain knowledge that you were loved by many in both our worlds.

The Transfer of Donations from the Rezday Bash

For reasons that will become apparent by my next post I will not blog much today.

However, I wished to report on the transfer of the donations to the Ali Forney Center that were made at the Dej & Tomais Rezday Bash without delay.

The guests at the party were extremely generous and the final amount of the donations were the fabulous sum of L$36.000.

I got the conversion rate from L$ to US$ on the SecondLife website.

That exact amount was then immediately, on behalf of the rezday boys, donated to the Ali Forney Center on it's website after which I received the following receipt (I have redacted my first life name and exact address).

Happy 6th Rezday, Tomais!

Six years ago today my darling Tomais rezzed into SecondLife.

I am very happy that both he and I have manipulative and meddling friends who thought we might be suitable for each other and maneuvered to get us to meet. And yes, Rylan and Ziggy, I am indeed thinking about the two of you!
