It's A Party...And You're All Welcome!

Please join us in celebrating Life, Love and the grand opening of Static Frenzy's exhibition at the Northmead Gallery, Southern Charm, SecondLife on Saturday, October 20th, 2018, at 12 PM (noon) SLT.

Music will be provided by the amazing Lee McKay. (By special dispensation, music by ABBA will be permitted - for the first and only time ever - on Southern Charm.)

SecondLife photographer Static Frenzy, as many already know, is renowned and loved for his vision of what it means to be an LGBT-man in a virtual reality with scenes from his everyday life, budding romances, and hot sexual encounters.

The Northmead Gallery also has its permanent galleries showing the works of JJ Goodman, Wayne Allan, and Tomais Ashdene besides parts of the Laird of Southern Charm's vast collection of  SecondLife artwork.

Wear whatever you feel like, but wear something. (The only one permitted to be completely nude is Mr. Apmel Goosson Esq., should he wish to attend.)

Remember, all the best parties should have at least one sim crash.

Here is your limousine waiting to transport you to The Northmead Gallery at Southern Charm (SLurl).

Molly Bloom at Paris Metro Gallery

My buddy Petrolicious, to the rest of you better known as Petr Vanbeek, today told me about an exhibition he had gotten a sneak peek off.

Petr was lyrical in his description of the exhibit and convinced me that I just had to see Molly Bloom's latest exhibition at Paris Metro Gallery (SLurl).

The official opening isn't until Saturday July 2, 2016, at 12 PM (noon) SLT, but why wait... So I hauled my weary hubby Tomais along to the gallery at once.

I have to agree with Petr, I loved it! You must see this humorous, interesting and beautiful exhibit. In Petr's words, "her use of layers to create depth fascinates me".

Molly tells me that the exhibition will be there for a month, perhaps longer.

So no matter how tired you are, just go and leave invigorated and in a much better mood than when you got there.

"Visions of Hope" - Opening Party with DJ Cupric Today, 1-3 PM SLT

From a press release kindly forwarded to me by my friend Ricco Saenz, who together with his partner Randy Firebrand, is among the organizers of this event.
Party on May 3 with DJ Cupric Router to celebrate the opening of "Visions of Hope: Hope Haven Heroes' silent auction in benefit of Relay For Life of SL"
The event opens today Sunday, May 3, with an amazing party led by DJ Cupric Router, to celebrate it all: the great photography artists, such as Skippy Beresford, Bear Silvershade, Tomais Ashdene, Trinity Yazimoto and others, who kindly donated their works to the exhibition; the initiative itself, directed at raising funds for RFL; the public, that will be able to acquire photo-based pieces from some of the most renowned photographers in Second Life and, at the same time, contribute with the American Cancer Society's programs to improve cancer survival, decrease the incidence of cancer and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers; and, finally, to celebrate life and honor our beloved ones who have been fighting or who have fought fought against cancer.
The opening party starts at 1PM SLT, at The Hope Haven Heroes Gallery (SLurl). Cupric will be in charge of the tunes for two hours, during which you can dance, invite your friends, meet new people, have fun, check the exhibition and already start placing your bids.
The art exhibition goes from May 3 until May 31. The minimum bid is just L$ 400 and the amounts can be increased by at least L$ 100 each time. At the end of May, we will learn who acquired what.

Wild Things Tea Party

GAWD, it really takes it's toll on a man to be gay!

We must always dress appropriately - and preferably look stunning - for every occasion. I guess it must be a burden placed on us to even out the privilege we have of being able to love the pinnacle of natures creations, the wonderful, delicious and adorable creatures that are the human males.

I got this invitation to the opening of a new exhibition at Holtwaye Gallery.
To help celebrate the opening of Wayne NZ's new exhibit "Art in a Box," we’re hosting a “Wild Things Tea Party” on Saturday October 4, 2014, at 2 PM.

This exhibit illustrates Wayne’s earthy and fantasy style, with references to woodland fantasy creatures, angels, faeries, hillside dwellings, the great outdoors, and of course, tea & cupcakes!
Calling your inner playful and wild-things side! Come in your woodsy outfits, your wild hair, your capes, your loincloths, your creative tea party outfits, or even just your pointy ears - and join our “wild things tea party.” Not sure what to wear? Check out the amazing Wild Things cards below…

Yours truly will be there - of course - with hubby and son. Tomais found me a great outfit, now I only need to find amazing accessories...

Your gilded cage awaits you for a safe transport to Holtwaye Gallery (SLurl).

My Son As Art

When I logged in yesterday I was soon hailed by my son Guyke, Prince of Paradijs (the traditional title given to the heir to the throne of the realm of Southern Charm). After the usual preliminaries he soon spilled his urgent news.

"I'm in an exhibition!", he said excitedly.
"What do you mean?", I asked, "I know you are an exhibitionist, but what exhibition are you in?"
"You remember, I told you that Ronan Mactavish asked me to pose for him? Well, the pictures are now exhibited."
"Ahh yes, of course I remember. Please send me the landmark and I will go take a look! This should be fun..."

Guyke sent me the landmark to Piazza Siciliana (SLurl) and I arrived safely at the gallery. I was a bit taken aback when I saw the name of the exhibition on the sign at the landing spot.

"Welcome to Ronan Mactavish's Uomini Nudi. Kip.. Jee.. Simon.. Latherblu.. Drey.. Guyke", my Italian isn't great but good enough to realize that I was going to be exposed to images of naked men. The boy hadn't told me that... "If he is sporting an erection I will surely accidentally drown him, even if he is the Crown Prince", I thought to myself as I took three deep breaths and prepared myself for the worst.

I decided to start with the others men in the exhibition and look at Guyke's pictures last, so I could slowly prepare myself for the possible shock.

The exhibition was however extremely tasteful and beautifully composed, so as I moved along through the different sections I felt my fear leaving me. When I finally came to the Guyke-section I was extremely happy to see Ronan's interpretation of my beloved son.

I am happy to say that I can recommend this wonderful exhibition to you all.

Vistas & Blossoms 2014

Today I received this wonderful invitation through my dear friend Garth Raleigh.

VISTAS & BLOSSOMS 2014
~A GA multi-sim, juried Landscape, Garden & Destination Exhibition
A GA 7-Year Anniversary Event
In conjunction with the GA SummerFest 2014
JULY 11 - JULY 20, 2014

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT: The concept is to feature multiple GA properties of varying LANDSCAPES, GARDEN SPOTS and UNIQUE DESTINATIONS throughout the Gay Archipelago. In effect......a 'multi-sim' event! This one-of-a-kind event will officially open grid-wide on July 11th and will run thru July 20TH. The regions are linked to all other sim/estate entries via an LM-GIVER BILLBOARD - allowing touring guests to jump from location to location (23 diverse regions to explore this year!) to enjoy all the Exhibition has to offer.

Touch a picture tile on one of the billboards located at each region entered and you will receive an LM to tour that estate. You will also receive a note-card that each participant has prepared describing the areas interest and varied attractions that VISTAS & BLOSSOMS tourists will be experiencing. In their own words, they will tell you about what they have created; sometimes their approach to creating the landscape/garden areas; their philosophy on presenting their creations to sim/estate residents and visitors, etc.

The featured entries need NOT be professionally landscaped, nor gardened - only a presentation from a sim/estate owner/manager who is proud of the work that has been done to terraform, landscape and garden in order to beautify and add interest to the property. Displays do NOT have to be huge and awesome....merely inviting and complimentary to the surroundings.

Our Top Three Winners from 2013 will be acting as the judging panel and will be awarding L$34,000 in cash prizes at an Awards Gala on July 20th in the following arenas:

Best in Show: L$15,000
1st Place: L$7,500
2nd Place: L$2,500

Best use of water feature: L$1,000
Best urban setting design: L$1,000
Best rural setting design: L$1,000
Best 'Themed' design: L$1,000
Best use of a dedicated structure: L$1,000
Best 'Commercial' setting design $L1,000
Best 'Residential' setting design $L1,000
*New: BEST use of wildlife/animals $L1,000

AFTER you have toured the regions exhibiting, we invite you to VOTE (free) for your favorite overall region at the voting board on GA Coronal Estate.

Vistas & Blossoms 2014: People's  Choice Voting (SLurl).
During the 10 day exhibition, these regions will be visited by people from all over Second Life! This event is listed with Second Life - Linden Lab - as a 'Featured Event' in the Destination Guide!

Vistas & Blossoms 2014 is presented to you by the Estates of the Gay Archipelago and is a friendly competition amongst neighbors. We welcome you to this event of exploration and discovery through July 20th!

The Vernissage of "Art Erotic"

My friend Ewa Aska, formerly best known as the co-owner of the once famous Ice Hotel and as an actor in several plays and musicals in SecondLife among them the successful ABBA SWEDEN show, has now found a new furrow for her creativity as a photographer of erotic art.

Ewa's exhibition "Art Erotic" opened with a vernissage yesterday, As the chairman of the Bock McMillan Art Foundation (a part of the BMcM Corporation) I was naturally invited. Most notable - and noticeable - among the other guests was an apparition of my bosom-buddy Apmel Goosson, this time present as his alt Apmel Meerson.

Apmel was - in my humble opinion - the most erotic work of art in the room, especially since he had chosen to dance an extremely enticing and alluring dance and somehow seemed to work his way around me the whole evening. I claimed he was hitting on me, but he emphatically denied it. (You can read our conversation on this subject on his blog, the link is supplied at the end of this post.)
Apmel plays coy but I know what he is contemplating
Apmel hits on me
Apmel in the act of sexual harassment against innocent me
Our gorgeous DJ Rultan and her likewise gorgeous hubby Alf
Paola spots me but keep her distance, in the beginning...

Apmels favorite piece of art, I named it "A tethered man"
Photographer Ewa Aska in an erotic pose
I avert my eyes from the sexiness of Paola
Guyke comes to my rescue to save me from more sexual harassment by members of the audience
For more pictures from the vernissage and my hilarious conversation with Apmelito please visit "The models hide nothing, but what does Bock hide?"

If you wish to visit the exhibition it goes on through September 15, 2013, Landmark to the exhibition (SLurl)

SL10B - The Spanki Moulliez Exhibition

One of the best thing about SecondLife is the creativity that more-or-less  every avatar you know displays. Sometimes it gets very apparent to me that all my friends and  acquaintances are extremely talented in one way or another.

One such insight came to me the day before yesterday when I visited the Rhino Writers pavilion at SL10B with my friend Butch. It turns out that just across the road from that my friend Spanki Moulliez has an exhibition also.

I have known Spanki for ages, literally ages, but he has been hiding his light under a bushel, so I did not discover until Butch took me to his exhibition that not only is he one of the most handsome men in SecondLife but he is also a  master photographer, it completely blew me away!

I highly recommend everyone to drop in at SL10B Spanki Moulliez (SLurl) for a visit, and then go to his permanent exhibition somewhere else in SecondLife. (I will add the landmark to his permanent exhibition as soon as I get it.)

Spanki, do your thing in comments, please!

At the Opening of "Viva l'Italia"

I was invited to the opening of my friend Eddi Haskell´s photo-exhibition "Viva l'Italia" today. my son Guyke accompanied me to.the opening, partly because I always like to hang with him, partly as my chaperon to keep me out of trouble.

We were a little late in arriving because we had wasted a lot of time getting dressed. After starting out in full gala with tuxedos that could have fit in well at the royal wedding in Stockholm today, we dressed down until we were in extremely casual attire.

When we arrived the party had already filled up with a host of beautiful men and some women. Mikedacook "Mikey" Dinzeo was the DJ of the evening. I enjoyed his music thoroughly while talking with Guyke in voice and the other guests in local or Instant Message, all the while hungrily looking at the men at the venue - one in particular whom I will spare the embarrassment of being mentioned here.

Many of my buddies or long time acquaintances were at the party like Eddi and Benja, Garth and Mitch, Rico and Avacar, Mikey's partner Robin, Judas, Mattias, Khar and Christo,.but also many men and women that I did not know - yet

All in all, I had a great time, enjoying the beautiful photographs, the great music and the pleasant conversation. .
Guyke and I admiring one of Eddi's works
I and my favorite among the beautiful photographs
Brent (I was to distracted by his hotness to catch his last name), a
mysterious and silent stranger with a sexy avatar. I noticed he had rezzed
in 2009, which means he is  like 15-20 years younger than myself
My buddy Christo Spyker.
What is this thing with Dutch men and their bare feet, I wonder?

My friend, the always charming Kharissa Indigo,

The exhibition will continue until the end of June, I highly recommend you pay it a visit at The Eddi Haskell Gallery (SLurl)

"You Are A Slut, Bock!"

Today has been sort of a weird day. The first thing I noticed was that I had a cold again and - as always when I have a cold - I had a really nasty cough too.

People sometimes get scared and think I am about to die when they hear me cough, if they haven't heard me coughing before. My coughs come in attacks, are really, really loud and sort of come from the belly up. They sound as if my body is trying to push my lungs out through my mouth.

To alleviate the coughing I took some of my preferred cough syrup, Cocillana-Etyfin. It's an antitussive drug I get prescribed by my sweet Hungarian doctor, The main ingredient in it is ethylmorphine but it also contains other antitussives such as Cocilana extract and Senega extract. The problem is that I probably overdosed the medication a bit today, which is always risky because most of them contain narcotics of some kind and you end up with a high.

A short sidetrack. I formerly used a medication named Lepheton, which combines both ethyl-morphine and ephedrine. If I took the recommended dosage I ended up with the worst nightmares I have ever encountered or the most vivid and wonderful sex dreams  The nightmares were so bad though that I eventually decide to switch to another medication as I could never know or control what kind of dream I would get.

My overdose today made me lightheaded , scatterbrained, unfocused  and totally obsessed with sex. Luckily my stepson Guyke was close at hand so I only talked to him about what was on my unfocused mind, although some of it may have slipped into local chat from time to time in a cloaked way. Guyke wisely enough just laughed at me.

All through the opening of Eddi Haskell's latest exhibition I was discussing sex and my preferences in certain aspects with my SecondLife son, while trying to be charming to the other guests while ogling the beautiful men at the party. I remember thinking to myself at one point, "You are a slut, Bock!", but it did not help me or stop me from going on ranting into poor Guyke's ears.

I am hoping the young man is not scared for life.

"Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom"

Benjamin Glendale was kind enough to send me this press release for his upcoming exhibition.

"Commencing from May 18th 12 noon SLT at Gallery Assis is hosting Benjamin Glendale's new collection of images "Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom".

A long time resident of Second Life, Benjamin is rediscovering exploration in Second Life and taking snaps of his adventures, primarily for his own enjoyment but also to be shared with others. Ben doesn't confine himself to one form of image over another, he takes photographs of people and/or places, landscapes or buildings, as inspired by his surroundings and the events taking place.

The collection at Gallery Assis is entitled "Ben in Farmland: An Homage to Tom". Comprising five pictures, it hopes to capture the spirit of Tom of Finland imagery. All in a monochromatic retro style, it features scenes of overt masculinity, fun and plain hot sexiness, as it shows Ben's adventures working the farm and the men he meets there. Thanks go to the guys who own and run The Stud Farm, which was used as location for the images.

The exhibition (...) exhibits together with new collections by Erik Bayn and Joseph Nussbaum. To launch the event there is a 1950's party at the Gallery, hosted by gallery owner Eli Wallace (dress code Jailhouse Rock - 1950s)."

The collection at Gallery Assis is entitled "One Man Guy". It is inspired by the song written by Loudon Wainwright III of the same title, exploring the ramifications of "being your own one and only". Thanks go to the guys who own and run The Stud Farm, which was used as location for the images.
The exhibition is sponsored by Lumipro, and exhibits together with new collections by Maloe Vasant, Capcat Ragu and Sydney Garnet".

Hop On Hop Oh

Yesterday I got an invitation to "join a daring art walk into exclusive goals" by my friend Kandinsky Beaumont, the famous SecondLife artist and art curator. For your information, Kandinsky recently received a well deserved invitation to participate with her art in this years Burning Man event.

Sundays event starts at 1 PM SLT at Solace Island (SLurl to the event)

The curators wish to make the general public (and especially all overly sensitive art lovers) aware of the fact that Ms SaveMe Oh is the exhibiting artist and also hosts tonight's event so they cannot ban her from the event today.

(As those who follow the art scene in SecondLife already know, my client the notorious Ms. SaveMe Oh is the most banned and kicked-out avatar in existence in SecondLife today, with the possible exception of my bosom buddy Mr. Apmel Goosson.)

RECOMMENDED READING
The curators recommend the honored guests to read and bear in mind the following three things before attending this adventure:

1. Dry Martini – “The Elixir of Quietude”
2. La primera anchoa cantábrica de 2012, en la XX edición de Eating Madrid
3. The Good Food, Glossary - Olive

This should be a lot of fun, I hope to see you all there!
