"Everyone Is A DJ..."

Ars, who himself was a DJ, often used to say "Everyone is a DJ in SecondLife!" As the years have gone by I have found that his assessment is close to the truth. Surprisingly many of my friends or acquaintances have on some occasions tried it.

Recently I learned that my friend Mirco, a.k.a. Schatzi by me, has a regular set every Saturday at The Midnight Museum region with music from the '80s. This evening I had the pleasure of being there.

Now I am eagerly awaiting the day that my sweet husband Tomais will inform me that he also wishes to start DJ-ing.

Visiting Mirromere

At the beginning of every month, for the last ten years, I go to Mirromere to visit with my late husband  Ars. Sometimes, my husband, Tomais comes with me, but mostly I am there alone.

Mirromere is a part of the Calas Galadhon Park, which consists of seven or eight regions. The park is owned, maintained and operated by Ty(mus) Tenk and his husband Truck Meredith. When Ars passed away in 2010 the men graciously offered to host the memorial service and a memorial place for two weeks I think it was, but my memories from that period. are unclear. 

Once the big memorial place was removed a smaller and beautiful place was made. Ars, and later on Dej, have the honor of having a plaque there among other friends of the guys.

It's My Twelfth Rezday!

Today is my 12^th rezday and I am taking the day off from SecondLife as I have a  terrible headache. I hope you are celebrating it all the same.

This is a picture to show y'all what I looked like on Saturday, December 8^th, 2007.

New Blog Header - Late Summer 2018

Bock in SecondLife's art director and my husband, Tomais Ashdene, has made a new header for the late summer season of 2018. There has been so much happening in our first lives and our SecondLife earlier this year, so we have not had much time to think about it before, and even less time to actually do it.

This header is already one of my favorites. Thank you so much, my darling!

This week I am starting a new series of posts, it's a variation of my previous "Picture of the Day"-series, the difference being I am only going to select a picture from my or Tomais Ashdene's - the blog's art editor and my loving husband - Flickr feeds once a week. 

My husband is gracefully (that's just the kind of great guy I am) allowed to make suggestions but the decisions are always all mine.

Winding Down

After a long and hard week it's become more or less a tradition to wind down at the Steamworkz Sunday Tea Party with DJ Lee McKay and host Jax Endriago.

Introducing: Flat Bock 2017

As has become a tradition for the Second Pride Festival, I am today introducing a new Flat Bock. This years contribution was, as always, made by the blogs art director and my wonderful husband Tomais Ashdene.

This version is much improved compared to the precious ones.

As I have been informed that some of the previous versions have been used for shooting practice and as dart boards (And we cannot have that, now can we?), the material for the Flat Bock is now Kevlar.

The surface has been specially prepared to have the same silky and smooth touch as my natural skin, but is still easy to clean after use. Just rinse in loads of lukewarm running water (I suggest you use the shower or a garden hose) and dry with a soft towel. Hoopla, it is ready for use again!

The Pronunciation of "Urinal"

My otherwise wonderful husband Tomais has been giving me some hassle concerning my way of pronouncing "urinal".

I got it solved here, it seems I am using the British English pronunciation, whereas he is - of course -using the American English version.

Decade Old Avatars

I'll be ten years old in SecondLife next year, so I know a few of those venerable old avatars.

I and Dej at Southern Charm. I am in my second mesh outfit.

My brother - and brother-in-law - Dejerrity Mycron turned ten on October 23, 2016 (Please note, that Dej will never be older than 39, ever!). Today would have been my late husband Ars Northmead's tenth rezday.

As I understand it the two of them met just a couple of days after rezzing into SecondLife and were more or less thick as thieves until Ars passed away.

Dej doesn't believe in the benefits of mesh, so he still looks a lot like we all did in 2008, 2009 & 2010. If Ars was still around, I'm certain he would have come to embrace mesh.

I myself was difficult to convince of the benefits of mesh in the beginning, I always dreaded the fact that my clothes would change my shape instead of the other way around.

Then someone close to me at the time nagged at me and a onetime friend became a "meshista" also, so my resistance finally caved in and I agreed to try it. I'll never go back now.

My Man

This morning Tomais and I had a nice talk with Garrett & Kahvy up at The Northmead Gallery.

While we were talking I unpacked the two new arm chairs (one with pattern textures and the other with solids) by Apple Fall that I had bought yesterday.

As I was checking out the textures of the patterned chair, Tomais jumped into it to try out the animations. He looked so absolutely beautiful so I decided to snap a few shots.

I am a truly fortunate man to have such a handsome, intelligent, charming, lovable and extremely patient husband.

This is a what actually came out of my mouth at a photoshoot today, when I was modelling in a picture with my husband Tomais Ashdene, the second most patient man in SecondLife.

"Well, maybe I should take my face lights off, because right now my radiant beauty attracts most of the attention in the picture. Wouldn't you agree?"

Tomais agreed.

Message to My Wonderful Hubby

Hello my sweet lover,

I am afraid I will not be inworld today as I am going to bed now because I haven't slept at all the last 40 hours or so.

The damnable tooth was extracted today and I am going to try falling asleep before the anesthesia wears off.
