Ars Forever, Forever Ars!

Joseph Douglas Wilson Jr.,
a.k.a Ars Northmead
April 21, 1953 (first life)
October 25, 2006 (SecondLife)
March 12, 2010

Five years have passed since that awful day when my lovely Ars died.

A long time afterwards I actually thought I would never recover from that experience, but - little by little and ever so slowly - I came back to life and finally I could love again. I do so without feeling any guilt and with the knowledge that my Ars would approve.

After all, a new love takes nothing away from an old love, nor does an old one take anything away from the new. Both my loves fill me with joy and happily coexist within my whole being.

Ars will live on as long as there are still people who remember him and love him and I am not planning on dying soon, neither are Guyke or Dej or any of the others who loved and were loved by him.

True or False

I was just reached by a message that my relations with my son and heir are being discussed by people whom it shouldn't concern, so I think it best to clarify.

It is true, that I and my son and heir have a strained relationship at the moment. However, it is completely false to believe that this estrangement is anything of a permanent nature. We have handled worse things in the past and I am certain we will also straighten this out given time.

We are family and nothing can change that, nothing and no one. Love conquers all!

It's Time for A Change

Those of you who have been following my blog may already have understood that major changes aren't really my forte. Or as my stepson Guyke bluntly tells me, "You don't like changes!"

I don't completely disagree with him, but I would hasten to add that my qualms with change are mainly on an emotional level. When I feel safe and loved I don't mind changes in other areas of my life one bit.

It's a new year and time for a new project at Southern Charm! Faithful readers may remember the last major change on the sim happened during the summer of 2013 when the old ugly house I had been living in since 2008 was torn down and a new modern house was erected in it's place.

This year I got a new house as a Christmas gift from Guyke, after he had carefully showed it to me twice beforehand. The first time I saw the villa I was adamant and told him I didn't like it at all and that I wasn't ready to go through the hassle of moving again so soon after the last rebuild. The second time I saw it I absolutely fell in love with it!

It is a classic french villa with large open spaces called Luton Manor and is made by Redgrave Houses & Homes.
My building team this time around consists of the royal consort and the royal groundskeeper, Tomais and Butch. The two have also benevolently agreed to advise me concerning decorating and other interior design niceties.

The old house has been emptied and taken into Inventory, the beautiful villa has been placed in a preliminary spot, I am awaiting advice on the definite placement from a landscaper who has been contacted, but not yet contracted. He will hopefully also be hired to help with the necessary work on the immediate surroundings of the villa.

"Another Love"

(Hat tip to Guyke Lundquist for posting this on F*c*book)

Tom Odell was nominated for British Breakthrough Artist and British Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards 2014. However, the winners of those categories were Bastille and David Bowie respectively.

Who Would've Known...? (Updated)

The lairds groundskeeper Butch Diavolo recently set up home at Southern Charm. He has built himself a suitably humble cottage there, exquisitely (of course) furnished with the best of Van Auster's work from Post.

The evening before last the laird, his spouse and the little prince visited with Butch to talk and relax in the company of friends and family. We all admired the work that Butch had done with decorating the cottage and complimented him for it.
I recognized a fun and beautiful work of art on the wall that has been made by the extremely talented SecondLife photographer Spanki Moulliez. Butch is supposedly one of the avatars in the picture, but it is hard to tell as the three avatars in it all have cardboard boxes pulled over their heads.

We all had a very pleasant evening chatting about everything and nothing. Tomais - who has a reputation of being an expert on male appendages - helped one of us with resizing a dick to more pleasing proportions. All-in-all we had a wonderful evening together.

Who would've known that it was an end of a seven year era?

Update: I have corrected an embarrassing mistake where I named the photographer incorrectly. My apologies to both Spanki and the person I mistakenly named.

Thank you Butch for pointing out my mistake!

Duo Rezday Pictures by JJ Goodman

The famous photographer JJ Goodman, my brother and friend, attended the Duo Rezday Bash on Saturday.

JJ was there because he is family and friend and had no obligation to take pictures, but he did so anyway... which I am grateful for, as I and the rezday boys were to busy with other stuff.

Thanks for the pictures JJ, as always you manage to make us all look wonderful!
