Bock in SecondLife will, if all goes as expected, today pass 900,000 pageviews since June 1, 2010. This is the 4,015th post.

The blog has been in existence since August 25, 2009, although I didn't start blogging regularly until January 12, 2010. The pageview-counter was installed June 1, 2010.

I would especially like to thank all my regular readers for following me through the years, especially the lazy times when not much blogging occurred. Thank you also to my incidental readers, please keep come back again.

Today Bock in SecondLife unexpectedly passed 700,000 pageviews since June 1, 2010. This is the 3,504th post.

The blog has been in existence since August 25, 2009, although I didn't start blogging regularly until January 12, 2010.

It is important for every blogger to know that people reads and likes one's blog and comes back for more, again and again and again! There is no better proof of that than soaring numbers of pageviews.

500,000 Pageviews

Today is another landmark day for Bock in SecondLife as the total number of pageviews today passed 500.000 (since Blogger started the count on Juni 1, 2010).

If anyone had told me in the early morning hours of August 25, 2009, when I started this blog, that I would still be here almost five years later I certainly wouldn't have believed them. Anyway here I am, a little bit older and somewhat wiser, and still going at it.

In the beginning my readers were almost all Swedes or Scandinavian, which is natural because I blogged entirely in Swedish back then. After Ars passed away, and my blogging really took off, I slowly and over time switched entirely to English.

Today the blog's statistics tell me that my top ten reader countries are the following:

Although I have often said, and it is true, that I blog mostly for myself and for my need to vent, nonetheless it is rewarding to realize that I am not shouting into emptiness. So thank you all!

Celebrating Four Years of Blogging

"Bock in SecondLife" celebrates it's fourth blogoversary today!

Little did I know when I started my online presence back in 2009 that I would still be at it this long afterwards. After publishing the first post I actually didn't post again until 4,5 months later, but ever since then I have been posting regularly - even if it was somewhat half heartedly at the beginning. It took the passing of my beloved Ars and my need to relieve my anguish to get me committed to blogging and by-and-by it became a habit that I miss when I am not able to do it.

2,000 Posts

This is the 2,000th post of Bock in SecondLife since it's start on August 25, 2009. Since the start there have also been 5,048 comments, 362,239 pageviews and I have acquired 94 followers (3 non-public).

In honor of this accomplishment I would like to thank my loyal readers for staying with me for such a long time, through thick and thin and through sorrows and joys. I could never have made it this long without y'all!

Something Old, Something New...

Before I go back to my playing with myself and test if Bock may finally be over the problems we have had lately I would like to take a moment to honor two SecondLife blogs and their bloggers.

The first one is the oldest Swedish SecondLife blog, My Avatar´s Name Is Apmel, which is owned and operated by my bosom buddy Apmel Goosson & alts (in his first life also known as +Lennart Nilsson)..

Today the blog celebrates it´s sixth blogoversary and having reached 5,000 posts. The number of pageviews should be close to 700,000 by now as the blog reached the 600,000 mark on March 26, 2011.

My Avatar´s Name Is Apmel has previously been honored by The Bock McMillan Art Foundation´s (a part of the BMcM Corporation) lifetime achievement award on March 26, 2011, read why here SecondLife Culture Blog Honored.

I for one am looking forward to following Apmel and alts on their adventures in SecondLife the next six years also, It is - and will remain - an obligation for every SecondLife blogger to read what Apmel has to say about our life and times.

On the other end of the scale I also wish to congratulate my friend Benja Aquila, who started blogging just recently, on hos blog Benja Aquila´s Second Life. The blog passed it´s first 5,000 pageviews yesterday!

Congratulations to both the blog and the blogger, I am so looking forward to still be a faithful follower when you pass 500,000 pageviews!

Yesterday March 12, 2012, Bock in SecondLife passed 200,000 pageviews since June 1, 2010. This is the 1 294th post.

By my own calculations this event should have came today, but due to three persons eagerness to read one of my posts on Sunday it came a day earlier. Thanks guys for helping out!

The blog has been in existence since August 25, 2009, although I didn't start blogging regularly until January 12, 2010. I initially blogged in my native Swedish but since August 14, 2010, it´s been mainly in English (with the spellchecker on American English).

The blog passed 100,000 pageviews on June 23, 2011. I am really surprised and happy that it doubled that count in only nine months.

I would like take this opportunity to thank to all my readers, regular or incidental ones! Lots of hugs all around! (...and if you are looking for some more tangible appreciation from me you are most welcome to collect your reward on June 6, 2012, - exact time to be posted at a later occasion - in the virtual world of SecondLife, when I will once again be throwing my annual Kiss-A-Swede event.)
