Tomais Shows "Miscellanea" - Opening Today 1PM

Today, in about 30 minutes, there will be a grand opening of Tomais' exhibition "Miscellanea" at The Nilsart Gallery (SLurl). Musical entertainment by DJ Helene.

Tomais Exhibits at The Nilsart Gallery

The talented photographer Tomais Ashdene (whom I am happy to refer to as my hubby) will have an exhibition at The Nilsart Gallery, owned and operated by Nils Ophelia and cyberserenity Vella.

The exhibition opens on Saturday January 10, 2015, and continues until March 31, 2015. The opening of the exhibition will be on Saturday 1 PM - 3 PM.

Musical entertainment at the opening will be provided by the charming DJ Helene Dragoone. Light refreshments and champagne will be served.

Sometimes you find a artist that you just want to show to the world. Tomais Ashdene is such an artist. In his work I find more than just pictures of the Second life world. There are stories. What happened before or what happens after. It is not just the perfection in the technical work but the way he makes the image continue to explore his virtual life and the world around him. There are many good photographers in Second life but very few that make the pictures relevant even beyond the virtual self.

I couldn't have said it better myself if I had been asked, which of course most likely is the reason why I choose to quote Ms. Lorentzon.

The exhibition is called "Miscellanea".

Though We cannot command it, We express the hope that all other realms who wish to maintain good relations with Us in the future follow us in this.

Jeg har trukket nitten

Jeg har jokket i en lort
Samlet den op og bidt i den
Og det' nitten
Og når jeg prøver på at give den videre
Til en anden idiot
Får jeg den lige i hovedet igen

Det startede med at jeg kom lidt for sent op
Så missede jeg mit tog og mistede mit job
Men jeg sagde godt nok at jeg selv havde sagt op
Da min kæreste så jeg kom tidligt hjem

In this Danish song Thomas Holm portrays the poor guy who complains about how his life is falling to pieces, whatever he does. He has drawn a blank ("nitten") in the lottery of life. It all starts with him oversleeping slightly, he misses his train, loses his girlfriend who gets tired of his bullshit, loses his apartment and is forced to move back to his mother.  And then he learns that even his mother gets more sex than he does, which he discovers when he and neighbors are kept awake by the sounds of her loud lovemaking...
