This is totally absurd and hypocritical coming from a bigoted bastard who has supported the murderous Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria, and his clansmen during the last two years while they have been slaughtering close to 150,000 of their own countrymen.

If there is action it is at least two weeks away. Obama (and I think it is a good idea) is taking this action to congress. Since the Republicans control the House of Representatives, they will need to approve this, and also be responsible for funding it since the House is responsible for paying for things. Here is the Republican leadership statement today: "Under the Constitution, the responsibility to declare war lies with Congress. We are glad the president is seeking authorization for any military action in Syria in response to serious, substantive questions being raised. In consultation with the president, we expect the House to consider a measure the week of September 9th. This provides the president time to make his case to Congress and the American people".
