German athletes will wear the above rainbow-hued uniforms at the Sochi Olympics, but officials insist the design is not intended as a commentary on Russia's anti-gay laws.
The German Olympic Sports Confederation insists that the design was finalized "before the Russian protests had even begun."

I love it and it will look great against the snow too! I can see actually President Vladimir "Little Father" Putin choking on his own vomit when he see's this!
This is just sad. A rainbow is a color pattern that has been around for ages, but now the LGBT movement claims support from wherever they see it. The German team released an OFFICIAL statement saying it is not in any way a political move, but the LGBT movement won't listen and still praises Germany for it's bold move. The rainbow uniforms have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with gay people, so keep your bias out of this international, purely-for-sport competition.

Thank you for expressing your view, Jake!
DeleteIt is only sad that you do not seem to have read the post where I state exactly the same thing as you do, namely that "officials insist the design is not intended as a commentary on Russia's anti-gay laws" and that the "German Olympic Sports Confederation insists that the design was finalized 'before the Russian protests had even begun.'"
Notwithstanding that both of us know that the rainbow colors - although they, as you correctly point out, have been around for ages - during the last decades have become symbols for the LGBT movement. It is therefore in my humble opinion wonderfully ironic that this particular uniform was designed for this particular event, even if it was not at all intentional.
I find it quite surprising that you seem so upset about this silly post about the German Olympic teams uniforms and suggest you instead inform yourself about the conditions that the LGBT-community in Russia are suffering under. That would indeed give you real reasons to be outraged and upset.
Finally, Jake, let me finish by telling you that I would never consider deleting a comment like yours, as you are sticking to the issue and you have not been abusive.
