200 Million Living Victims

Today is the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation 2017 (FGM).

The UNICEF estimates that there are at least 200 million women and girls now living with female genital mutilation.

Although female genital mutilation is carried out in many countries, the report says that more than half of those who have undergone it live in just three countries -- Indonesia, Egypt and Ethiopia. 

Data shows the highest rates of genital mutilation among women between the ages of 15 to 49 are in Somalia, Guinea, and Djibouti. In most countries, the majority of girls subjected to the practice are younger than 5. About one fourth of all cases worldwide were girls under the age of 14.

UNICEF hopes that with the support of governments, communities and religious leaders, the practice will be widely abandoned by 2030.

This is Laith Ashley. He is a damn hot man but he is also transgender.

Laith's assigned sex at birth was "female". Today he identifies as "male".

This is the hot and sexy hunk that some people in the U.S. believe should be forced to visit the ladies restroom, i.e. the same restroom as their mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and granddaughters.

Can you imagine the reactions it would cause if Laith used the women's restroom? Among the women inside and their men guarding them from outside?

Scientists Find Female Penis in Nature

In desolate caves throughout Brazil live insects that copulate for days, the female's penetrating erectile organ sticking fast in a reluctant male's genital chamber until he offers a gift of nutritious semen. Neotrogla seems to be unique among species with reversed sex roles — with choosy males and aggressive, promiscuous females — in also having swapped anatomy, researchers report.

The insect Neotrogla was first described in 2010. 

Entomologist Charles Lienhard at the Geneva Museum of Natural History in Switzerland recognized them as a new genus — and also as possessing unusual genitalia. The team's work describing the reproductive practices of four separate species of Neotrogla is published in Current Biology recently.
