Desktop mascots

There is a relay race going on among the Swedish SL-bloggers, "Show us your desktop mascot". Well I don´t really have a desktop mascot, but this is always out here so ... I am making it my mascot!

I wasn´t awake earlier it seems (because now I see it everywhere), but I picked up the relay race from Vampi´s OrmDricka

Du är aldrig ensam - Mauro Scocco

You are never alone
by Mauro Scocco (direct translation to english by Bock)

When the storm blows, when the bridges burn
When hope and meaning, just disappear
When you feel small, and when no one is there
You will never be alone anyway, as long as I am here

I can walk all night, take a plane or train
It doesn´t matter where you are
I´ll get there - anyway

You are never alone, as long as I breathe
As long as my heart - can beat
You are never alone, never forget it
I'll do anything for you, I hope that you know
Yes, I hope that you know

If those you trust fail you, if your dream fell apart
Then I can remind you of how much you're worth
That the fear you feel, it is not you
And how scary as it may seem, it will fade away

I can walk all night, take a plane or train
It doesn´t matter where you are
I´ll get there - anyway

You are never alone, as long as I breathe
As long as my heart - can beat
You are never alone, never forget it
I'll do anything for you, I hope that you know
Yes, I hope that you know

So when you no longer cope, then I´ll cope for us both
When you cannot find a way out, I´ll find one anyway
You have given me so much over the years that have passed
The biggest thing one can get, you have given it to me

You are never alone, as long as I breathe
As long as my heart - can beat
You are never alone, never forget it
I'll do anything for you, I hope that you know
Yes, I hope that you know
Yes, I hope that you know

And I know that you know

200th Coffee & Pajamas

Woooohoooo! Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

The one and only, the amazing and hilarious Elfay Pinkdot and all of the Second Life glitterati (including myself of course) will celebrate the 200th Show party of "Coffee & Pajamas Jazz Show" on Saturday September 4th, 2010, 8 am - 10 am SLT/PST or 17.00-19.00 Swedish time. (Yup, we are back in the old timeslot!)

Please join us at Circe´s Sunset Jazz Club (Second Life´s oldest jazz club, it´s been there since 2004)

Elfay will be doing an entire show devoted to SL musicians! I am telling you this is not something you want to miss.

To paraphrase the divine Mae West; "When Elfay is good, she is very good. When she is bad, she is better."

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!

InWorldz not in the top ten

Well, it should not amaze anyone, but as you can see "InWorldz" didn´t even make the top ten. My guess is they come in around 234th or lower...

Meanwhile Second Life has moved up to 8th place since February 2010 and has also increased it´s average per minute playing time since then. For the cold figures for February 2010 look at this post on "Mer eller mindre KRANFEL".

Farewell Emerald

I will miss you my lovely Emerald viewer! I thought I could trust you and you had so many nifty features but reading the blogs now the truth has finally dawned on me.

I have been a total absolute fool to place my trust in a group of unsupervised adolescent gang of hackers, these brilliantly gifted but terrible children that have made up the dev team of Emerald. My complete lack of insight and knowledge about the technical and safety issues concerned with using a viewer and my realization now of what these young men and women could - and indeed possibly would - do to hurt me have forced me to make a decision.

I will never again use a viewer made by anyone except Linden Labs!

But I beg of you Philip Linden, my dearest interim CEO, please drop that terrible "Viewer 2"-project and pick up some of the slack from the Emerald viewer.

The world famous art and peace project gives a temporary special performance on another blog.

Please visit "Mer eller mindre KRANFEL" to see a revealing picture of my friend Vesper Kling here.

Vesper has formerly appeared in the project on this blog also, but at the time claimed to be "too shy to bare all"! It seems that  his detour to "InWorldz" has given him better confidence in himself.

And all I can say to that is Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!"

Thanks for that postcard Vesper, loved it!
