I am already preparing for this assignment and coming up with usable phrases like
- "You are looking wonderful tonight, dear lady, what a truly beautiful gown. I must add though that you are out-shined by your delicious companion, he is simply mouthwatering!"
- "Please sit down and be quiet, sir, or I will have to shoot you!"
- "Apmel, please put your clothes back on or I must eject you for the third time this evening!"
- "Madam, I understand your desperation but this is not the restroom. Please stand up and put down your skirts at once and I will accompany you to the ladies room directly."
This will be fun! Please come back for updates as we get closer to the event.

Madge In Your Faces, Suckers!

Well dear Madge is now going to Saint Petersburg, Russia, for a show where she has promised to speak out against the anti-LGBT ban that was passed by the local city council not long ago. The ban prohibits any mention of gayness or LGBT-issues which is considered to be propaganda and corruption of the youth.
The bigoted and homophobic city councilpersons of Saint Petersburg (many of whom belong to the United Russia party which is the same as the president-elect Vladimir "Little father with small wiener" Putin), don't yet seem to fully understand what is going to hit them. They are now making pitiful threats of sending Madge to jail for two months if she should do that, as if that would help.
This has already before Madge even setting down one of her dainty and sweet-smelling little feet in the city meant more to spread information and knowledge about the Russian homophobia to the general public on a worldwide scale than all the petitions and gay bloggers in the world.
There is a huge difference between Madonna going to Saint Petersburg and telling them what´s what than if a normal tourist should try that stunt. The rest of us "everyday tourists" should just stay away from that beautiful place and let the lack of our tourist money tell them what we think about their atrocious policies.
Thank you Madonna, you make me proud to be a human! All the power to you, gurl, get in their faces and let them hear the message loud and clear!

Ballroom Dancing
The first time I met Kahvy Sands was in the summer of 2007. Already back then he was living together with his husband Rick and their friend BM "Big Momma" Oh. I went to a few parties the three friends arranged and always had a good time.
We lost touch a bit after I got together with Ars, but we kept on talking once in a while and sent each other cards for the holidays. I was invited to them today for a ball room dance to celebrate Big Momma´s rezday. The huge ballroom was full of beautiful women in gorgeous gowns and men in dreary tuxedos which they still managed to look dashingly handsome in.
I haven't danced ballroom in a while but with the directions from Kahvy - who was also the DJ - about which dances to choose on the Intan I must say I danced like a God and made my all dance partners - and myself - proud.
Here are a few pictures.

It is amazing how easy it is to reconnect with old friends sometimes and to make some new ones too. I had a good chat with Big Momma and I must say she is nowhere close to the diva that I thought she might be when I first saw her. She is a really fun and kind woman and very genuine ("echt"). It was a pleasure to get to know her.
