At The Tribute

I have always enjoyed visiting Wesley Spengler´s sets in SecondLife. Wes and his regular host Kharissa Indigo have a way of keeping the talk in local chat going and the crowd happy. They are a great team together.

The crowd at The Tribute last night consisted of a whole lot of hot men (a good mix of old timers and later arrivals), with Khar as the only representative of the so called "fairer sex".

I hauled Ziggy Starsmith over to keep me company. We had a good time dancing and chatting before my typos got the better of me at 4 AM in my morning. My typos have always been a sure indication to me that it is time to withdraw and crawl to bed..

Insight

A hand-drawn cover illustration of "Tintin" by the Belgian comic book artist Hergé has been sold at auction in Paris for a record price of $1.5 million.

My first thought is "Well, I if the buyer wanted it that much I guess it was worth it, but if I had that kind of money I hope I would use it in a more worthwhile way."

Then I remember the hundreds of dollars I pay for my sim and living expenses in SecondLife each month, which could make a huge difference somewhere else in the world, and I stop feeling so smug.

It´s a matter of relative wealth, I am almost certain this buyer gives generously to worthwhile causes as well.

Invitation to Kiss-A-Swede Day 2012

June 6 is Sweden´s National Day and the Swedish Flag Day, but more importantly it is also the International Kiss-A-Swede Day in SecondLife.

This is the second consecutive celebration of that event in SecondLife.

The wonderful DJ FelineFemme will be there to supply us with great music.I am hoping to be joined at that day by a few other Swedes, men and women, who will make themselves available for your kissing pleasure, if not I will take care of you all.

You and all your friends are invited to the kissfest at Southern Charm (SLurl).

The Laird´s Envoy Returns

The McMillan Household sent an envoy to the Court of St James's to congratulate Queen Elizabeth II, constitutional monarch of the sixteen Commonwealth realms, head of the fifty-four members of the Commonwealth of Nations and head of state of the Crown Dependencies, at the celebration of her Diamond Jubilee.

The envoy was the younger sister of the Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm and prince of Cascade Falls, the enchanting Millimina Salamander, czarina of Solace Island and other distant territories of the McMillan Household.

However the princess returned prematurely from London today with a case of "political flu". It is rumored that the dispute  between the McMillan Household and the Court of St James´s concerns the suggested seating arrangements at the festivities.

The laird would not comment on the diplomatic kerfuffle other than saying "We are very happy that our little sister is safely home again. Welcome back, Millimina!"

For Your Viewing Pleasure

Anton´s own comment about this picture was "It´s just an ass. What´s the problem?"
My response would be "I see no problem at all, Anton, it´s a very cute ass indeed!"

While browsing for a picture to my previous post I came across these two pictures of the charming, the gorgeous and the hot-hot-hot, albeit too young for me, Anton Hysén. Enjoy!

The pictures are from a photo shoot for the Swedish gay magazine Qx.se.

If you wish to check out Anton´s own blog you can find it in my blogroll.

...And The Winner Is... Anton!!!

The Swedish version of "Dancing With The Stars" (which for some obscure reason has been renamed "Let´s Dance" here) was decided yesterday.

The final two couples were Anton Hysén (the first openly gay pro-soccer player), with his partner Sigrid Bernson, and Molly Nutley (actress and daughter of actress Helena Bergström and film director Colin Nutley), with her partner Calle Sterner.

If you wish you can see the whole final at TV 4 Play (url)only available for six days. Anton´s last dance was a show stopper with the song "It´s Raining Men" (see photo).

The judges votes ended 89-89, with two judges having Molly as the winner and one having Anton as the winner. The final decision was left to the viewers vote, who awarded the victory to Anton.

Way to go Anton!
