Taylor and Newman in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (MGM 1958) |
What I will remember Elizabeth Taylor for most as an actress are her performances in
"Giant" opposite James Dean and Rock Hudson (1956),
"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof " opposite Paul Newman (1958) and
"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? opposite Richard Burton (1966).
As a heroine in real life I will always remember Elizabeth Taylor for her strong moral backbone, her loyalty and support to her friends Rock Hudson and Michael Jackson and her support of the gay community in general during times when it was not politically correct or even convenient.
The world will always need strong and outspoken women, Elizabeth Taylor was one of them. She made a difference and she will be sorely missed.
This is amFARS´s (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, who was one of the founders..
RIP Dame Elizabeth - kick the angels in the rumpa.
