  1. -Every second ladies? Have often noted that "L" in "LGBT" have an ability to "disappear"in the boardrooms.

  2. Well, Vanadis, I don´t think there is a rule in the bylaws of Second Pride saying that every other person on the board of directors should be a woman - not yet.

I am sorry you feel the women do not have enough representation in the LGBT boards.

Why do you think that is and how can we change it?

  3. Even gay men takes big place in world. :) If you go to a "LGBT-friendly"sim you hardly ever meet a woman.
We must get woman in general to participate more in the work in boards etc. The Election Commission has a big responsibility to find useful woman to. More difficult if the number of European women is low in the LGBT community.

  4. In my experience there are many lesbian d´sims in SecondLife. The difference between gay sims and lesbian sims is usually that the gay sims allow women, but on lesbian sim men are not welcome, except on certain occasions.

Like you I believe the the LGBT.movement would greatly improve if we can integrate, starting with the boards and the going down to the grassroots.

One particular problem for the board is that so few women seem to want to get involved with the Second Pride. for example today there is only one (1) woman who wad put her name up as candidate for election to the board. If there were more woman who allied for te jobs as directors I am sure most of them would be voted in.

  5. I believe Marge Beaumount (spelling on last name) may be going for a chair on the board. Don't quote me on it, but I think she has done a fabulous job in the rolls she has played thru the years.
