Quitting Facebook will relieve me from the easily offended and oversensitive jerks who are a waste of my limited time and energy.
I will however miss many of the friends and acquaintances I have made there, but am hoping that they will use other means of keeping in touch with me, either via this blog, in SecondLife or via email. (My email can always be found in About Me in the top left corner of the blog.)
I will make the request for my account to be deleted tomorrow, Saturday November 9, 2013.

Can't really say that I blame you for your decision. I think about quitting mine more often than not. I hang on to it because I use the messenger with a couple of friends, and I am a member of a number of support group pages that I find useful. Other than that, FB is a big pile of meh. Sorry it was a negative experience for you, but at least you can say you tried it. Hugs

ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I am doing what is the right thing for me. The other 1.4 billion must do as they see fit. My leaving is by no means a judgement on those who remain or even of Facebook itself, its just not the place for me.
