How bloody difficult can it be, really?
I have been headhunting for a new hairdo in SecondLife forever now, at least the last two-three years, but there is nothing I really like as much as my present - six years OLD hair - from KMADD.
What I want is something messy but still tidy-ish, something short but not shaven. Something like Jamie Dornan's...
Preferably in a nice Swedish Medium blonde color that doesn't look like it came out of a bottle.
Some of the content creators who make hairs just don't seem to "get" blond, they give us a whole shitload of strange, sickening, shades of yellows instead.
I wonder why that is? Sure blonde hair is an aberration that arose from a genetic mutation, but it has been around long enough so that everyone should be familiar with it.

ReplyDeleteEnquiring minds should mind their own business - or better still - wait for the extremely long series of blog posts that will "tell all" about Tomais' and my exciting, passionate, explosive, volatile and fulfilling sexlives.
DeleteI know exactly what you mean!
ReplyDeleteI've spent a heap of time trying to find the right hair. My last av's head didn't fit any hair very well. Last September I decided to revamp my av and my look. I went a lot smaller in av size than I ever had since 2004. Anyway, I was always so hesitant about trying hair that was half prim and half texture. I thought that hair needs to be 100% all prim or 100% texture.
I'll have to say... At first the trend seems a bit ugly and crazy. But, I've been wearing my half prim and half texture hair for about a month less of a year now. I am wearing hair from Taketomi. I love it and the hairbase is pretty cool looking. I would also recommend Dura and Tableau Vivant for hair. The styles and textures are pretty high quality and you might find the shade you're looking for.
I'm not sure if you've gone to any of those stores but I hope you find what you're looking for. Huggs!
Thanks for the suggestion of Taketomi, Mex, I haven't looked there yet, but I have tried Dura and Tableau Vivant already without luck.
DeleteThanks for the tip about Redgrave, Ziggy, I did not think of going there for hair myself... so I and Tomais visited there yesterday, they had one that came pretty close but not in the color I want. I will try the Marketplace and then try tweeking it into what I want ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with this 100%, It seem to me that most of the major hair creators have something going on with overgrown hair and really silly looking overly long hair strands that make hair look just very odd. I cant see what is so difficult in creating short hair for guys that is just "sensible " instead of some catwalk model flicks that are just realistically over the top, spikes, emo bed hair, Japanese punk hair etc. Just give us normal hair styles for once :)
