The athletes´ public letter to their fans

Way to go, guys and girls!

In English the appeal reads something like this:
Open letter to our fans

We have many times represented Sweden, stood up for the national anthem and watched the Swedish flag being hoisted in honor of our country.
Sport is about brotherhood, to fight for every victory, but to always respect each other and never ever look down on anyone because of their color, their origin, their name. Racism and sport do not mix, sport is about that everyone can compete on equal terms and without discrimination. The same should apply in the rest of society.
Therefore, we wish to appeal to all of you directly, who have supported us and stood up for us.
We ask you, for Sweden's sake, do note vote for a xenophobic party in the elections on Sunday so that they enter the Swedish parliament.
Stand up for the values that sports, and our country, stand for, that which makes us all proud, that all humans are of equal value. Stand up against racism and xenophobia."
(Ughh the translation isn´t really worse than the original. I have tried to stay true to the original but I haven´t seen so many parenthetical subordinate clauses in the past 20 years. Lets let the good intentions count!)

And when you have read this you should go look at this video on "Magasin Millimina" and listen to what a few other Swedes have to say.
