Bock as a Noob

Well today my inventory reached 20 000 items and I realized it was time to start a new cleaning up project. But then I got stuck when I found this picture of myself that I took on May 12th, 2007.

I was two months and a day old in SecondLife that day.

In those days we were all born ugly, with hideous hair and a very limited wardrobe. Not at all like the noobs of today, who are only half-ugly, have almost acceptable hair and a few different wardrobes to choose from.

The first thing I changed about myself at Welcome Island (I think it was called that, but it could have been Arrival Island.) was to take away the awful hair we were all born with. I put the "News boys cap" on my bald head instead. (I searched my inventory for the cap today, but it´s no longer there.)

It really took me a long time to find hair, because I did not stay inworld that much in the beginning. After I found Boots Gay Beach and the helpful and friendly guys there, things started to change little by little.

It was at Boots also that I met the man who first showed me where I could buy decent hair. The same guy told me, after having known me for about a week, that he loved me and would like me to become his slave boy, but then I would need to make myself shorter and more slender. I told him to bugger off because I liked my shape fine and did not have the inclination to be his or anyone else´s slave.

The next picture is me (to the left) dancing on a float during Second Pride ´08 together with my green haired acquaintance Helyo Mendes. Helyo was working security at Pride at that time. I saw Helyo again a few weeks ago, he still looks great (but now without the green hair).

At that time my Ars and I were a couple for more than six months. We also lived together on our first two parcels of land on the Southern Charm sim.

The last picture is of my Ars. I took it at the Memorial Candle site of Second Pride ´08. We went there together to light candles in remembrance for the friends and family we had lost. It was a touching and solemn place. We were completely surrounded by candles in there and all the candles had names and greetings attached (which cannot be seen in the picture).

Ars never, ever, asked me to change anything about myself and he loved me through all my changes.

P.S. Now I am waiting to see what the other bloggers looked like when they were born!

Nina

Elfay Pinkdots "Coffee & Pyjamas show" today was all Nina Simone.

Boy, let me tell you, I do love Nina´s singing. She never ever really cared about singing "well", but always, always with great intensity and feeling. Enjoy the clip!

Countdown

The opening of the "Citytunnel" in Malmö on December 4th, 2010, will revolutionize my life.I can start commuting to work by train instead of by car.(Clicking the gadget will take you to the homepage of "Citytunneln")

When regular traffic has commenced from December 12th, I will be able to sit on a train, read my morning paper, drink my large caffe latte macciato and secretly watch other people, or to be quite honest not so much "people" as "cute and hunky men". All this instead of sitting in my car alone getting road rage or being scared to death by some of my fellow drivers.

It also means I can sleep 20 minutes longer in the mornings or arrive at work 20 minutes before my usual time...
....

About "Citytunneln"
"Citytunneln" is a communications system linking the railway north of Malmö and the railway to Trelleborg, Ystad and Copenhagen.

It also makes the railway easily accessible for a large part of central Malmö, Malmö will also be easier to access for the whole region.

Citytunneln consists of two parallel rail tunnels under the central parts of Malmö from the main station (Malmö C) via the station Triangeln to Holma in the south. From Holma the railways go above ground to Hyllie station, and then connect to the Øresund link and railways to Ystad / Trelleborg.

Generalissimo McMillan in Exclusive Interview

"I will demand total submission and obediance from the Lucia and the rest of my troops in white. And that goes for the Gingerbread Man, the Chimney Sweep and especially that sassy badmouthing Santa Mum also.", says Bock McMillan, who recently was appointed as leader of the Lucia-pageant at the Swedish Embassy in SecondLife this year.

We meet  The Much Honoured Bock McMillan, Laird of Southern Charm, on the back porch of his palatial mansion on his estate Southern Charm. He seems rather relaxed in the face of the immense task that awaits him, but then the explanations comes as he continues.

"I am no noob when it comes to Lucia-pageants.", Bock says as he looks sternly at this blogger, "I am after all Swedish and have done this pageant thing countless times before in real life and four times before in SecondLife. If my troops just follow my instructions we will give the spectators a beautiful show that will bring tears to their eyes."

"You can safely tell your readers that this pageant will be memorable, and this time not only for my appearance in it, We have chosen a great team - oh well lets call my minions that, it will make them happy - and they are beautiful too. Unfortunately I am not at liberty to tell you who the others in the pageant will be but let me assure you it will be bloody awesome. You can count on that!", the laird concludes as he waves to his security to usher me off the grounds.

Well people, it looks like we are in for something spectacular come Sunday December 12th, you better be there or you will regret it.

Feeling Like Greta

Greta Garbo portrayed by Einar Nerman

"I never said, 'I want to be alone.' I only said, 'I want to be left alone.' There is all the difference."
Greta Garbo

Feeling the way I do today the only thing that will help my mood is getting my ass inworld, going to Elle74 Zaftigs store "Bellissima" and getting myself a few new tartans. That works wonders for me, rather like ice cream for others.
