Gary Moore - In Memoriam

Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011), known as simply Gary Moore, was a musician best recognized as a blues rock guitarist and singer from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Reagan Centennial

Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – June 5, 2004) was the 40th President of the United States (1981–1989), the 33rd Governor of California (1967–1975) and prior to that, a Hollywood actor.

As a European this moment is what I will mostly remember him for. This and his trip to China.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, he looked awesome as a young man and on a stamp also.

Synopsis

"Let us suppose that we're all just a temporary mishmash of dots on a screen. All of our energy, personality and uniqueness is just a collection of bouncing color dots creating seemingly meaningful patterns we call a virtual world. Zoom in and you are a sea of dots with no form. Zoom back and you're just a spot on the map."

I Am Backing Off

The hurt feelings, the upset emotions, the rehashing of memories of old wrongdoings and the constant scratching on the scabs are a formidable Gordian Knot that hurt and hamper the Swedish community in SecondLife.

For a long while I have tried to understand what it was about and even perhaps to assist in healing it. This will end now. I have now come to the realization that I was not born to bring the Alexandrian solution to this festering mess and I have better things to do with my life, my time and my limited resources of empathy, love and understanding. Especially since I now suspect that none of them really want it solved, it gives them something to do.

I am now backing off and bowing out of this. I will leave it to the involved parties themselves to solve it or die with the bitter taste of hate in their mouths. Keep me out of it!

The Important Things

Focus on the important things in life, all else is a waste of time and energy and is only useless drama. Don´t ever let yourself be sucked in and dragged down by the Celeste´s of your world.

The most important things in my first and second life right now are:

1. Freedom

2. Sanity

3. Love

May 21, 2011

Some of  "the believers" are saying that Judgment Day will come as soon as May 21st this year. I am not sure I can wait that long to see some people getting what they deserve.
And after that the world will end on October 21st, 2011.

I so want to be around on both May 22nd and October 22nd just for the fun of it... And thinking of it, wasn't there something exciting that was going to happen in 2012 also? I seem to remember a website and a movie...

By golly, we live in exciting times!

Music Awareness 2011

I have been having some problems with this post, because I firmly believe that any cultural manifestation in itself - and by necessity - is a comment upon the prevailing norms, ideas and beliefs in the social context where it is preformed.

In my mind the song "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?" is truly a statement on it´s time and therefore political. A political song can of course embrace the norms, ideas and beliefs of it´s time and location as-well as it can be an apparent protest against them or an allegory or a cover-up. '

To me the theme of this event contains a self contradiction, but what the hell I´ll plug it anyway. Live music is after all one of the best things about SecondLife.

Thanks to Diana for the information!
