There is an excellent post entitled "Confirmed: Latest Second Life Drama Largely Driven by Misunderstanding, Scant Evidence (As It Usually Is)" by Wagner James Au on the blog New World Notes that everyone involved with SecondLife should take the time to read.
The post centers around the drama (non-Swedish this time) caused by Miso Susanowa and her allegations concerning a logo chosen by Linden Lab to celebrate Second Life's 8th anniversary.
Miso Susanowa claims that the logo was based on a design she originally did and was used without attribution or credit, which led to a community-wide controversy, with many calling for boycott, lawsuits, and filing DMCA notifications against the company.
I posted a comment to this post which I want to share with you here.

Excellent post, thank you!
Admittedly the Lindens make mistakes, they are only human after all, and admittedly they are not always able to respond to a problem as fast as the erratic residents of our world would wish.
Like you I believe that the overreactions among us residents more often than not lead to time and energy wasted on matters of little importance than being used to the betterment of SecondLife.
I can also wholly understand that some creative and talented people at the Lab would leave the company because of such turbulence.
We could all do better if we stopped bitching and complaining wildly all the time and instead channeled our efforts to work with and support the Lindens in improving the world we all love.

Millimina
Saturday didn't start too well. I was in a lousy mood when I woke up and just couldn't be bothered with anything. Then I read something on another Swedish blog suggesting that a new civil war is brewing among the Swedish inhabitants of SecondLife. I thought to myself, "Here we go again and this time I am surely staying out of this stupid and needless war as long as none of my friends are hurt." I actually believe these wars start because someone gets too bored during the summer months and feels the need to stir things up.
To my luck Millimina came in-world. I hadn't seen her since the Kiss-A-Swede event some days ago, she´s had ISP-problems.
When I am with Millimina everything just calms down. My volatile emotions and thoughts and my most desperate fears all simmer down and go to rest.
We walked around the sim a bit. I showed her Dejerrity´s new house and we talked about this and that in both real and virtual life. Millimina´s input always give me the right perspective on things, what´s important to me and what isn't. It doesn't even matter if she is upset when she comes, because we always listen to each other. Hell, on some occasions even I have been able to make Millimina calm, so it´s not a totally one-way relationship.
Millimina is an intelligent, insightful, humorous, bitchy and empathic woman and a perfect friend! I am so happy to have her close in SecondLife.
Oh in finishing this post I would like to take you all as witnesses to the fact that Millimina and I have agreed, that if neither of us finds a perfect partner before one of us hits 70, we will move in together and take care of each other..
Speaking for myself and even if I should have found the perfect man but Millimina hasn't, on my 70th birthday I will order my hubby to take me on a trip to where Millimina is staying to bring her and her stuff (and even a few of her cats and swans) to install her in the studio I will have prepared for her by that time.

Better Than Bob Marley
Throughout the past week, my hometown has been characterized by the Swedish tradition of students "rushing out" from their high schools after they have taken their final exams.
After being greeted by families, friends and relatives on the schoolyards they then go in noisy procession through and around the town. Singing at the top of their voices, playing music, shouting and bawling out their youthful delight at finally having become adults. At last they will now be free of school for the rest of their lives, if they should wish so. (Although in my town more than ninety percent of them will go on to university in the fall or next year.)
During this period there are also lots of parties going on to celebrate the occasion, so many youngsters move around town during ungodly hours of the night on their way home.
One young man in particular caught my attention as he for three nights in a row has serenaded me with his beautiful voice. On all three occasions it was around 2:30 AM that he sang this song for me (well my neighbors also - but I like to think it was only for me).
Sadly he did not pass this way last night, I was waiting up to listen to him. He sings this song much better than Bob Marley did.
