The New SP2014 Board

The results of the elections of the SP2014 Board of directors were announced at midnight. The new board will consist of the following members.

My congratulations to the winners, it was a close race but you made it. I also wish to thank those candidates who also ran for making this election so interesting.

The new board will be installed on August 18, 2013, at 11AM SLT and have their first meeting as a board of Second Pride. The existing Board will step down at that time and any transfers will take place at that time.

Special note. The candidates mentioned above as "Female candidate X" and "Male candidate Y" have expressly asked me to never mention their names again on my blog (for Y that restriction also includes never showing his picture). As none of them won their race I see no need to mention them at this time.

Marcus Steeplechase - In Memoriam

When I came home from work today I received an email from my brother in-law Dejeritty Mycron informing me that news had reached SecondLife yesterday that Marcus Steeplechase had passed away.

Marcus first rezzed into SecondLife the same week as my late husband Ars Northmead and Dejerrity Mycron. Ars always spoke highly of him and I know that Dej is grieving his passing.

I did not know Marcus well myself and only met him in his capacity of owner of one of the most famous and long lasting gay clubs in SecondLife, The Ironworks Club. He was always friendly to me and seemed like an extremely cheerful and boisterous man with a rowdy sense of humor.

After the Ironworks Club closed in early 2010 I didn't see him much in SecondLife, except at the Second Pride Festival last year. There he played the lead role of king Henry in the musical farce "The Six Wives of  Henry VIII". He also played Anne Boleyn's sister Jane and possibly some other roles too.

Rest in peace, Marcus!

My thought go to Marcus's family and friends in first life and in SecondLife, remember he was loved and will live forever in your hearts and minds!

Countdown for Kro - 5

Kro's absence is taking it's toll on Dej. The man is slowly falling apart and incessantly talks about how much he misses his lover. It is lucky for him that I am known to be the most patient man in SecondLife. Everyone keeps telling me so and I - of course - know it to be true.

I have tried to help as best I can. With my sickeningly long experience of celibacy I am somewhat of an expert. But does the man appreciate it and listen to my sage advice, about just blocking it out and taking cold showers regularly?

No! Instead he tells me, "I love you Bock, but I love Kro more!" Can you believe it? Well I was not having that so I retorted, "Well Dej, you should know that I love you too, but I also love Kro more!" Thats when he called me "bitch" and I called him "bastard" and then we both laughed.

But really, the way Dej goes on harping about Kro is slowly driving me insane, by reminding me of the existence of sex. If Kro doesn't come back soon Dej will not die of sexual frustration or a pining heart, but with a knife stuck into his back to the hilt. Luckily I will only have to endure this for less than a week now, only five (5) more days of this misery. If I clench my fists and breathe deeply and cool down with regular icy cold showers I should be able to make it, perhaps...

Security Arrangements

Following the events of the day the McMillan Household today decided to increase the protection offered to the much honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm, prince of Cascade Falls and sovereign ruler of the Southern Enchantment Region with Outer Territories. Two hunky bodyguards have been assigned to follow the lairds every move.

It is rumored that the laird is not entirely pleased by these measures but has patiently suffered the inconvenience of the enforced company - so far.

Ruffled Feathers

It seems that my previous post "Rumors..." has annoyed and irritated some of the candidates. I have, among other things, been accused of rumor mongering and for tarnishing the name of Second Pride.

Today I have been asked by two different candidates (names withheld) in IM never to mention their names on my blog again. I have replied that if they get elected to the board of Second Pride they will most likely be mentioned from time to time in the future. To one of them I also added that I would most certainly mention his/hers name if he/she was elected and then immediately resigned.

My intention with the post was simply to remind the candidates what they had promised us voters during the campaign, not to hurt their delicate feelings.
