SP Hugs 1

The Second Pride Festival is a great time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, so I am going to continue my tradition from last year of - in my unashamed Swedish manner - going around hugging as many as I possibly can.

Kahvy Smith should have been first out, because I promised him a hug yesterday but I was too tired and forgot all about it. Instead the first one is of Petr Hastings-Vanbeek, whom I came across this morning as I was getting the SLurl for his store at the Festival.

Pride 2015 - Day 1

And we are off to a great start, the festival has kicked-off!

Yesterday I saw a pair of emerald shorts in my timeline on F*c*book that I simply had to have, they are so beautiful and only L$150. However, on Marketplace I saw that they were intended for the Niramyth mesh body so I put them out of my mind... for like 45 seconds. Then I went ahead and bought them anyway, but they didn't fit quite right with my regular body shape...

"Dammit!", I thought and proceeded to purchase the Niramyth body for something like L$2 766 just to get the shorts to fit properly. The rest of the evening - until the opening parties started - I had a team of helpers consisting of my hubby Tomais, my bro JJ Goodman and my friend Divos Titanium, for a short while we even recruited Stäväros Ğrăçємσûηт, trying to help me tint the damn body to suit my skin. After a while I got a new - more tanned - skin from Belleza (L$1 000) and a beard from EddiDesign (L$350) just to look somewhat presentable.

Well I was finally very happy in my beautiful shorts for only L$150, but to tired to take any pictures from the opening events, so I will direct you to some of my friends blogs instead.

Another Racist Murderer

Dylann Storm Roof, 21 y.o. racist prick with a bad haircut, yesterday stormed into the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and killed 9 people.

Jon Stewart's analysis of the event are by far the best I have yet seen.

It's Pride Week!

The Second Pride Festival starts today!

I will be there and to flaunt my pride and my colors, to meet old friends and new ones and to enjoy as many of the events as I possibly can - given the restrictions set by timezones. However, as I have wisely planned my vacation to start at the same time as the festival I should be able to be on later than usually.

You can find the festival schedule of events on the Second Pride website here. (Please note that the schedule is subject to change, so check it every day to make certain there haven't been any changes affecting your plans.)

The events of the first day include the opening ceremonies with
4-6 PM - DJ Wes at the main stage (SLurl)
6-8 PM - DJ Shep at the main stage (SLurl)
8-10 PM - DJ Regi at the main stage (SLurl)

Besides these scheduled events there are lots of other things to do and enjoy on the three sims.

The Second Pride Parade is tomorrow Saturday 10 AM-12 PM (noon).

The parade starts after one of the most important events of the Pride Festival, which of course is The McMillan Parade Ball, 8-10 AM at the main stage (SLurl) with The Smith Boys (DJ Kahvy and host Garrett).

This is a formal event so dress to your teeth! Tartans are highly encouraged, but not required. This event is sponsored by Bock in SecondLife.
