Gay Education

A fun cartoon about the latest scientific theories...Interesting theory there about the birth order, but I don´t understand how it would explain lesbians?

All I know is what I feel and cannot change. I don´t need an explanation to why I am gay, I am quite happy being myself and gay as hell.

"I´m here, I´m queer. Get used to it!" as the slogan goes...

Strange World

I found this great song on my blogbuddy Christo Spykers blog, Christo's Second Live.

parachute is a pop rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia.

SecondLife Invaded by Lucia-pageants

In real life we have about 200 000 (possibly more) Lucia-pageants in Sweden going about every year on December 13th.

They are scaring everyone shitless with the careless way some of them handle their candles or annoying us all by waking us up at an ungodly time in the morning.

In SecondLife there has been a Swedish Lucia-pageant for four years, the last few years at the Swedish Embassy in SecondLife.

Last year Second Norway started their own pageant, which I assume they will be continuing. This year we have also been reached by the news that a group of Swedes on the Tara Hill sim will be having their own pageant.

On Wednesday I attended a meeting to decide whether or not there was going to be a traditional Lucia-pageant on the Swedish Embassy sims this year. It had been suggested it should perhaps be cancelled because the Tara Hill group might see it as a provocation, as they had already in October declared that they were going to have a pageant of their own.

I had been thinking everything through very carefully and had reached the conclusion that we should continue the tradition of the Swedish Embassy pageant for the following reasons.

1. As I have already said above in real life we have loads of pageants. No one ever sees it as competition or provocation if anyone else continues having their own traditional pageant or starts a new one, neither would or could any reasonable person in SecondLife object to that.

2. The Swedish Embassy´s Lucia-pageant is by now a longstanding (SecondLife is not that old after all) tradition, both among Swedes and most importantly among our International friends and guests.

3. The more, the merrier! This is a great way of spreading the word about a beautiful and quaint Swedish and Scandinavian tradition.

Well I am happy to tell you it took the meeting two minutes flat to agree with me! So you will now be able to see me this year also in the starring role of a "star boy" pushing Saint Lucia and the rest of the guys and girls in white gowns infront of me.

Remember to book the date and times in your calendars now, Sunday December 12th, 2010, 11 am and/or 1 pm SLT.

More information about this event will be posted as we get closer to the occasion.

Grenouille Inn Re-opening

Great news on the blogs!

The wonderful "Grenouille Inn", that was torn down recently with a great party, has been rebuilt in a new location and will be re-opening again on Saturday November 27th 2010 at 1 pm SLT.

The new management will ofcourse consist of the amazing Iendi Laville, but now with the addition of her partner Apollon Allen, who I´m guessing will also be the inhouse DJ. (Both of them have naturally appeared in my project for art and peace "Nakna avatarer i SL".)

Iendi has assured me that I and perhaps also the rest of you will be allowed - nay, encouraged - to dance on the new inn´s bar!

Get there early, I am guessing the place will be stacked. Landmarks will be provided on the day of the opening, Iendi and Apollon have reportedly already had "unauthorised visitors" snooping around and disturbing the workforce (which consists mainly of Apollon, but still...).

The Chancellor of Justice concurs with Bock

The Swedish Chancellor of Justice has among its main tasks to ensure that the limits of the freedom of the press and other media are not transgressed and to act as sole prosecutor in cases concerning offences against the freedom of the press and the freedom of expression.

The Chancellor of Justice Anna Skarhed, in an interview told the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten that she is "very concerned" about recent developments and that she thinks it is "unfortunate" that the press and social medias on the Internet publish the name and image of persons that are suspects in criminal investigations.

Anna Skarhed continues, "What is happening is not in accordance with the proper code of conduct and the ethical rules that the serious press follow." The Chancellor of Justice thinks it will be difficult to legally stop the development. She therefore calls for a discussion of the pros and cons of the Internet's possibilities.

Anna Skarhed in conclusion said that her office has not yet received any libel notice concerning the publications of the name and picture of the suspected gunman in Malmö and that she will not take an intiative on her own to open such a case.

.....

And of course the Chancellor of Justice has no clue who Bock McMillan is, but I loved writing that headline anyway.

    Mauro again

I am sleepless and listening to this.

Its been a good day for me in both my lives so why I suddenly cannot sleep is a mystery to me. But listening to Mauro Scocco always makes me feel even better so...

P.S. Mauro reminded me of what possibly caused my temporary sleeplessness. Just before I went to bed I read a blog that I don´t read very often these days but I happened to see the link on another blog. Reading it disturbed me a lot. This blogger is continuing his usual rantings and bullying againt any person who has dared stand up against him or simply just doesn´t agree with him.

I feel sorry for him! His life seems to be driven by hatred, contempt and selfpity.
