Well, I am feeling a bit strange today. Nothing at all has pissed me off or irked me enough to make me rant and rally in a post. All has been just humdrum in a sort of calming way.
So I´ll just go ahead and tell you about my day in SecondLife yesterday.
First of all - just to warn you silly buggers who may try to mess with me - I retained a lawyer in SecondLife yesterday. Yeah, I know I am one myself but only a bad lawyer acts on his own behalf.
My lawyer is an American and one fierce cookie I can tell you from the start. She is totally fearless and protects my ass like a lioness protects her cubs. Hell, I even had to stop her from slamming a restraining order on some people for looking at me weirdly the other day. (Note-to-self, remember to pay her 1 L$ when you get in-world, so she doesn´t try to weasel her way out of our attorney-client relationship.)
A good part of the afternoon I spent giving Matt McMillan, nee Gaboian, a well needed makeover. Matt is an alt I use in the Tiny Empires-game. Although he is an alt of mine by some freakish accident he has turned out to be straight, the poor man. Well I started off by giving him my shape with a few minor differences and then he got new skin, new hair, new eyes and a brand new tartan. The tartan was from Elle74 Zaftig of course, nothing but the best would do!
This is what he looked like as a Linden-noob and here he is after the makeover. It´s a big improvement I think.
Later that evening I was invited to a friends housewarming party. It was Ewa Aska who had built a new house for herself, she is an awesome builder in SecondLife. The house was beautiful but the coolest thing was the dance floor, I thought, we danced over flamingos and crocodiles. You can see it here in a picture I stole from Blanche Argus´s blog (please note the capital B in Blanche).
The other guests at the party were mostly from the Tara Hill-collective, so I was left pretty much to myself except for the "Hi´s" and "Bye´s".
I had a few clarifying IMs during the party though. I managed to tell a woman I had been pissed with her but that it was passing now and also a guy that I had never been pissed with him just with a female friend of his, but that that was also passing now. And finally I managed to talk nicely with another friend whom I hadn´t met for a while, to her I was quite pleasant I think, no bitching at all - would you believe it?
There you go, parts of my day all summed up in one post, and those were the interesting parts.
Wherein this avatar's fates, adventures and experiences in, his thoughts and feelings about and his reactions to his first and second life are depicted with written messages, images and other audiovisual tools.
I am Bock in SecondLife and Bock is I in first life. We share thoughts, opinions, feelings, actions and reactions. We are one and the same and inseparable. On this blog I choose to share both my realities.

In a Generals Head
Ever since I got the privilege of organizing the Lucia pageant at the Swedish Embassy sims my life has been turned upside down. My head is constantly full of game plans at the moment - and variations - for the big upcoming event.
It takes place on Sunday December 12th and I am thinking of revolutionizing the traditional celebration.
Some of the things I am considering at this moment are:
1. What if we set Lucia on fire at the end? Hell, we could even let the whole pageant go up in flames, wouldn´t that give a much needed rawness to the event?
2. Wouldn´t it be lovely if we have the pageant flying in - in beautiful formation - and doing tricks above the heads of the amazed crowds? The walking thing has been done too many times before, I am fed up with it and this is SecondLife after all!
3. How about if we had a blonde, stunningly handsome, titled man - possibly even a general - in the prime of his manhood as a Saint Lucio instead? That would shake it up a bit for sure!
4. What if we do the "Sankta Lucia-song" and the rest of those dreary old traditional tunes in House, Heavy Metal or Trance style instead, wouldn't´t that be cool?
5. We could even have a pageant of big muscular men scantily clad in black leather harnesses, thongs and knee high boots.
Or I could do a combination of all five variations...?
Ahhh so little time and so many ideas..
All I can say is, look out Second Norway and Tara Hill, you ain't seen nothing yet!

SecondLife Invaded by Lucia-pageants
In real life we have about 200 000 (possibly more) Lucia-pageants in Sweden going about every year on December 13th.
They are scaring everyone shitless with the careless way some of them handle their candles or annoying us all by waking us up at an ungodly time in the morning.
In SecondLife there has been a Swedish Lucia-pageant for four years, the last few years at the Swedish Embassy in SecondLife.
Last year Second Norway started their own pageant, which I assume they will be continuing. This year we have also been reached by the news that a group of Swedes on the Tara Hill sim will be having their own pageant.
On Wednesday I attended a meeting to decide whether or not there was going to be a traditional Lucia-pageant on the Swedish Embassy sims this year. It had been suggested it should perhaps be cancelled because the Tara Hill group might see it as a provocation, as they had already in October declared that they were going to have a pageant of their own.
I had been thinking everything through very carefully and had reached the conclusion that we should continue the tradition of the Swedish Embassy pageant for the following reasons.
1. As I have already said above in real life we have loads of pageants. No one ever sees it as competition or provocation if anyone else continues having their own traditional pageant or starts a new one, neither would or could any reasonable person in SecondLife object to that.
2. The Swedish Embassy´s Lucia-pageant is by now a longstanding (SecondLife is not that old after all) tradition, both among Swedes and most importantly among our International friends and guests.
3. The more, the merrier! This is a great way of spreading the word about a beautiful and quaint Swedish and Scandinavian tradition.
Well I am happy to tell you it took the meeting two minutes flat to agree with me! So you will now be able to see me this year also in the starring role of a "star boy" pushing Saint Lucia and the rest of the guys and girls in white gowns infront of me.
Remember to book the date and times in your calendars now, Sunday December 12th, 2010, 11 am and/or 1 pm SLT.
More information about this event will be posted as we get closer to the occasion.

What a Wonderful Night
Well, I thought I should report about my night out in real life yesterday. Let me tell you from the start
I HAD A S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R EVENING!
The company was charming!
The conversation was ebullient and sparling with wit and moments of serious talk!
The food - ohhh the godlike food - was delicious from start to finish, and in all it´s components!
The wine could have been better, but was satisfactory!
The service was sexy, cute, tall, blonde, hunky, charming and impeccable!
I am so happy I decided to go, in spite of my preliminary hesitations. It was so fun and enjoyable. The only part missing to make it complete was that I didn´t get kissed the way you see my previous post and there was no sex at the end either... But a man´s got to take such things in his stride, huh?
Well I did get a lot of pecks on my cheeks a couple of warm hugs, so my need of tactile stimulation was satisified a bit also.
...an added bonus was the fact that this was the night we switched back from summertime, so I got an hours extra sleep.
P.S. I did go into SecondLife for a quick visit when I got home and found the Halloween party at Tara Hill was still going on. Although I could not stay very long (because I was "tired") and wasn´t really observant I did manage to catch a few sweet remarks from DJ Apollon.
Thanks for those remarks,Apollon, you topped my great night and made it even better! Big hugs!
