Happy Rezday, Apollon!

Absolutely everyone seems to be having their rezdays now, so here is another one... my friend Apollon Allen!

I am sure you all recognize him as the winner of my earlier project "Naked Avatars in SecondLife" even if he happens to have clothes on in this picture.

Happy 4th rezday Apollon. Big hugs!

Firefox 4 Beta - Love is Restored

Phewwww there are so many things I love about Mozilla Firefox that my recent problems with the Firefox 3.6.? browser were really a big pain in the butt (and not the pleasant kind).

Now I found "Firefox 4 Beta 10" and everything seems to be working very smoothly. I love it, love it!

Survey on Virtual Grief

Yesterday I received a note card from my friend Kandinsky Beaumont and from the "Remembering Our Friends" group in SecondLife that I would ,like to share with you.

"Have you ever created a memorial page or a group in the Internet?

Have you ever attended a virtual memorial service, commemorations or a wake in a game?

Has a close family member or a friend deceased lately and you would like to share your thoughts about mourning, memorialization and honoring the memory of the deceased?

I am a Finnish doctoral student from the University of Turku, Digital culture, and my doctoral thesis is about digitalization of death and mourning rituals in virtual environments (more about me: http://bittiavaruuteen.wordpress.com/in-english/).

I am looking for people to fill out a short 10 question survey and/or join me for an interview either in Second Life or through e-mail. Please fill out your e-mail or SL-name in the questionnaire form, if you would like to be contacted later.

I am grateful for all help possible in my study! Please pass on this message to anyone it might interest.

With kind regards,
Morita Hoxley a.k.a. Anna Haverinen"

I would like to encourage everyone to share their experiences with Morita/Anna!

Joe.My.God on Love & Friendship

I found these strong words of love and friendship on Joe Jervis blogg Joe.My.God and was deeply touched.

For the original post "I Will Hold You Ten Times"

First Joe´s preface to the post: "As longtime readers know, there are four or five JMG entries that I repost every year. This is one of them. My dear friend Daniel Johnson, who threw the most kickass Groundhog's Day birthday parties for himself, would have been 54 years old today. His was a life that burned brightly and I am illuminated still. Daniel Johnson, 1957-1997.

Missing A Friend

I don´t know what made you feel you had to close your blog or why you felt you had to leave SecondLife. I miss you and I miss your blog.

You have always been one of the persons with the biggest heart I ever met in any world, both virtual or real.

Every time you saw or understood that someone was hurting or in need of comfort, be it man, woman or animal, you were always there, ready with a hug and a few kind words.

I understand you must be hurting now, Carla, so this is only to tell you I for one hope you come back to us when you feel you have the strength and the stamina to deal with it all.

A thousand hugs to you!

It´s Time to Leave, Hosni

Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak assumed the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt on October 14, 1981. He is the longest-serving Egyptian ruler since Muhammad Ali Pasha.

Beginning on January 25, 2011, a popular uprising has been calling for his resignation as president of Egypt.

On February 1, 2011, Mubarak announced that he will not seek another term in the upcoming presidential election in September 2011, but also that he does not intend to resign before that time. He also promises reforms.

Too little and too late! I am sure that you already had ample time and possibility to enrich yourself. your family and your cronies at the Egyptian people´s expense.

You have long overstayed your welcome, Hosni, just leave now. Not in September, now!

All-Time High

Wow I didn't even know that this was about to happen so imagine my surprise when I happened to look in the all time statistics. This blog had over 10.000 page views in January 2011.

Wooohooooo! Eddi Haskell, PetGirl Bergman and Apmel Goosson beware, I am catching on to you!

Big hugs and lots of thanks to my loyal readers, and all the newcomers also!
