Wherein this avatar's fates, adventures and experiences in, his thoughts and feelings about and his reactions to his first and second life are depicted with written messages, images and other audiovisual tools.
I am Bock in SecondLife and Bock is I in first life. We share thoughts, opinions, feelings, actions and reactions. We are one and the same and inseparable. On this blog I choose to share both my realities.

Chanting A Mantra
"Om mani padme hum" is a mantra in Buddhism that is especially revered by the devotees of the Dalai Lama. This mantra is considered to be very powerful in creating transformation of the body, mind and soul.
Chanting it helps us to keep things in perspective and also helps us to achieve serenity and happiness thus taking us out of the permanent cycle of rebirth and placing us in a state of eternal bliss (Nirvana).
I use it myself - sometimes successfully - to prevent myself from responding to being baited. Alas, as the Swedish Communion Office says, "I poor and sinful man, born in sin, likewise having all the days of my life transgressed against Thee in manifold ways, do with all my heart confess to Thee, Holy and Righteous God, most Merciful Father, that I have not loved Thee above all things, nor my neighbor as myself."
Someday, perhaps one of these days...
But Lord you test me too much with my human frailty and some of my unmedicated neighbors. Please Lord make me stronger fast!
...and hell no, I have not become a born-again Christian during Easter, I am still an Atheist.

Earth Day 2011
For over 40 years, Earth Day —April 22— has inspired and mobilized individuals and organizations worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
My contribution today will be to take the train to the real life party I am going to today instead of driving myself. Well there are actually some a bit less altruistic reasons for that decision also, but hey anything that helps the Earth counts!

Phoenix Viewer Release Candidate is Here
Phoenix Viewer Release Candidate (1.5.2.1050) is now live.
From the Phoenix Viewer web-page: "Release candidate means that while the release has been thoroughly tested by our Quality Assurance Team and passed, we want to make sure that it is as good as it possibly can be. Your feedback over the next few days on this version will help us determine whether we get to change it to an official release. Although this is a release candidate, it is official and we will be providing support for it."
You can download it here.
I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope they have fixed my building bug...

Good News on Good Friday
I got this wonderful news on this Good Friday morning and feel I have to share it with you my devoted readers.
The blog is honored to welcome it´s first visitor from the Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace (بروني دارالسلام). That is actually the full official name in English, isn't it just beautiful?
My blog friend Eddi Haskell used to have a very impressive "Flagcounter" collection at the bottom of his blog Eddi Haskell´s Second Life. I hope to one day amass the same amount of countries that have visited my blog, it may take some time... I think there must have been close to 300 flags.

Ämne: Happy Easter
Dear Debbie, Marie and Mr. X and all the others of what I feel is my American family,
Today I have been thinking of you all and of Doug for reasons you are well aware of.
I was very grateful for your last mail giving me an update on how the others in the X-family are doing.
On this side of the big pond things are going well now. Both my elderly parents (81 and 82 years old) are doing well and we are still celebrating the fact that – according to the last report – there is still no sign of the bladder cancer that has been bothering my father the last five years. It actually looks like they managed to remove it altogether in the latest of the four operations. My parents spirits are up, and when they go up so do mine. Our family keeps on growing every year as two of my three nieces and my nephew seem to be taking turns in reproducing. We are happy for all the new girls, for yes it´s always girls! My third niece is only twenty still so she hasn´t started yet but she has a longtime boyfriend now, so who knows…
Well, perhaps my family is here to correct the global gender imbalance caused by the Chinese and the Indians.
Spring has finally come to southern Sweden now. We see much more of the sun again and the temperatures are slowly rising and are now in the low 60´s (F). The forsythia bushes are glowing in yellow and the trees have started to grow leaves, it´s a wonderful time of year. I am still tinkering along but am still on my antidepressants. Most of the time it gets better, but I still get bad periods but the periods are shorter and further between. My doctor tells me he is happy with my progress so... A few of my closest friends – people that I love and trust - have started telling me that I need to move along or at least start thinking about it. My answer to these kindhearted and loving friends has been that I am sure I will do that in time, but that I am not ready to do so yet. I am on my own timetable and follow my emotions in this. I am not going to be rushed into or out of something to satisfy anyone except myself.
In SecondLife I am still the proud owner of the Southern Charm sim that Ars and I had together, everything is still the same except that my last renter left around new year. I have the money for it so I am keeping it as long as SecondLife exists. The money would only go into a pension fund otherwise and I do not believe I will ever get as old as my parents so what the heck. You and the rest of the Wilsons will always have a virtual home there if you ever decide to revisit us.
I would like to wish you all a very happy Easter and hope you have a nice time during the holidays!
Hugs to you all,
Bock
