Retraction

On Saturday, there was a post on Bock in SecondLife entitled “At the Gay Nation Set” where we incorrectly stated that Mr. Butch Diavolo, the well-known SecondLife DJ and an extremely handsome, humorous and charming male avatar to boot, congregated at the venue with a multitude of ex-lovers.

Although our reporter at the time, through the documentation supplied to him, may have believed this to be true a closer examination of the documentation provided has shown that these allegations are entirely false. As far as we know today (through a source very close to Mr. Diavolo) only three (3) ex-lovers can be confirmed.

In this situation it is my duty and obligation as editor in chief of Bock in SecondLife to offer our sincerest apologies to Mr. Diavolo for publishing the false information. We are truly sorry for any pain or other inconvenience the publication may have caused Mr. Diavolo or his reputation as an honest and upstanding male avatar.

The story leaked to our reporter was obviously from a lesser man and motivated by jealousy over Mr. Diavolo’s prowess as a lover and/or success as a DJ. If it were possible I would fire the reporter, but he is the only one we have and he also happens to be myself.

We are sure that our readers and stockholders, who have always supported us, will understand that this was an honest mistake and stick by us now and look forward to a bright future together with them.

Good Nicknames for Andrew

I have a close family member in SecondLife who has recently fallen in-love in first life with a man named Andrew.

The only problem with this love is a silly minor detail, that he already has a brother named Andrew, who is called Andy He therefor needs to come up with a new nickname for his lover, so that he doesn't feel incestuous at those very special.moments in time when they are "close".

I am of course always at my friends side and try to help them as best I can, so here are a few of my best suggestions.
  1. Androoooooo
  2. A-man
  3. Drew
  4. Dru
  5. Dre
  6. Dewey
  7. Dewbury
  8. Big-A (or is it should fit better Lil-A)

  12. Twinkle-toes
  13. Sugar-bun
  14. Sweetheart
  15. A-darlin'

He could also try this nickname generator "What Is Your Nickname"which - after receiving answers to a few questions - comes up with a suggestion.

This is what the generator suggested as a nickname for me: McAwesome

Do you have any helpful suggestions? I am sure he would appreciate all sincere suggestions!

Thrilling Observation

Since the operation of my eye yesterday I have realized that the world is a far more colorful place than I knew before.

I saw colors earlier also, but they were nowhere as strong and vibrant. As you may have observed I can also read well enough to blog without any correctional aid, although it is a strain on my eye and I get tired quickly. Once my eye has settled (in about 4-6 weeks they say) I can get a prescription for new glasses/lenses to correct my astigmatism and I will see better than ever.

SL10B - The Spanki Moulliez Exhibition

One of the best thing about SecondLife is the creativity that more-or-less  every avatar you know displays. Sometimes it gets very apparent to me that all my friends and  acquaintances are extremely talented in one way or another.

One such insight came to me the day before yesterday when I visited the Rhino Writers pavilion at SL10B with my friend Butch. It turns out that just across the road from that my friend Spanki Moulliez has an exhibition also.

I have known Spanki for ages, literally ages, but he has been hiding his light under a bushel, so I did not discover until Butch took me to his exhibition that not only is he one of the most handsome men in SecondLife but he is also a  master photographer, it completely blew me away!

I highly recommend everyone to drop in at SL10B Spanki Moulliez (SLurl) for a visit, and then go to his permanent exhibition somewhere else in SecondLife. (I will add the landmark to his permanent exhibition as soon as I get it.)

Spanki, do your thing in comments, please!

At Zeus With DJ Butch

I ventured in-world yesterday hoping I could handle the problem om not reading  well by doing voice as much as possible. Then I remembered the option to change the font sizes which  instantly solved my problems with  Instant Messages and local  chat once I had set both to huge. I still have problems reading name tags tho so I can only see who is at the venue if they IM me or speak in local.

First on my list yesterday was Butch's regular set at Zeus Gay Club. I can tell you the man was totally on fire yesterday, it was one of his best sets ever, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Spanki and Ziggy were also there and at the end I discovered Aisha also, when she finally spoke in local.  She was a bit upset that I had not spotted her early, so I had to explain the situation. I think she accepted my explanation, but I am not quite sure.
