An End

I usually believe strongly in the power of forgiveness and that a healing process can occur over time.

However, on rare occasions things are said or done that are utterly unforgivable and cannot be taken back or forgotten, no matter how much any of the parties concerned may wish it. When that happens it is final.

You can only tidy up the threads, sear the wounds shut and move on with your separate lives.

Scoring

Last night I woke up around 1 AM local time and decided to log into my other life to see what was going on.

I talked with someone who informed me that there was a beach party going on at Steamworkz with DJ Shep (that's Aeschylus Shepard for those who prefer the full name). So I asked for a teleport to the beach.

Now, as you all know, tp's can sometimes be tricky and you end up among some people you are trying to avoid, but this time I was very lucky and landed next to this cute brunette with deep blue eyes, a nicely cropped beard and fuzzy brown hair all over his chest, stomach, arms and legs. Just the kind of man I like.

I briskly moved myself into place beside him and pretended as if nothing in particular was going on. As I stood beside him he sent me a dance invite that I - of course - quickly accepted. He seemed rather shy so I opened up the conversation by thanking him for the invitation to dance, just as an ice breaker. Then when he seemed to feel more confident I moved on to questions about how his day had been.

It seems the beautiful man is an avid collector of vehicles and he started telling me about this wonderful new truck he had just gotten. It was a marvelous addition to all his other planes, boats, ships, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, sleighs and what have you, he told me very happily. The sweet man had even gotten to use the new vehicle in a picture he took that day, so I learned he is a photographer too. He was happy about the picture he and a friend had taken earlier and showed it to me. It was indeed a wonderful picture, I am happy to report.

Well, as we were enjoying the music, dancing and talking it seems we passed the halftime of the set, because he suddenly undressed completely by taking off his skimpy Speedo's and showing all his previously hidden talents to me and everyone else on the beach. And "Wow!", I must say, the guy had lots of talent. Although I pretended like nothing and kept on a calm and leisurely conversation I could not take my camera off his backside.

It was getting late for me, and for him too it seems, because suddenly he told me he was getting tired. So I asked him if he wanted to come home with me and to my great satisfaction he did.

While we were standing at the terrace of our summer home, we canoodled a bit first and the I sent him off to bed with "I love you so much, Tomais!"

60 Groups for Premium Members

Yesterday my sweetheart told me to look at the bottom in my group tag, and lo and behold I saw that I now have 18 groups free.

Linden Lab has once again heard our supplications and have given us more groups. Last time that happened was in January 2011. When we all got those 42 groups I thought I would never join that many, somehow it happened anyway...

I have learned my lesson well and will now be extremely careful about which groups I join, some groups are simply too spammy.

The 1920's Berlin Project - 6th Anniversary

Frau Jo Yardley is inviting us all to help celebrate the 6th anniversary of one of the best known and longest lasting projects in SecondLife, The 1920's Berlin Project.

I for one will drop by during the coming week and check it out again. I have been there before a few times and have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

Besides, who knows whom you may stumble across when visiting and enjoying yourself there. It is well known that the venerable Frau Yardley has the attention of Ebbe Linden and probably lots of other important people and residents too.

Frau Yardley's dedication and hard work on this project should be an inspiration to us all on what can be - and has been - done in our wonderful world.
On May the 30th 2009 I opened the door to a little very basic, noob build bar and let the public in for the first time. The 1920's Berlin Project was born!
Only 3 months after joining Second Life, barely understanding how to glue prims together, I had started something that would soon grow into a vibrant active community of wonderful people.
And there is more to come… But first we need to celebrate the 6th (!) anniversary of our little neighborhood and we’re doing this by organizing 6 days of fun events and inviting everyone to come visit.
You can find 1920's Berlin by clicking this link: Berlin (SLurl)
We look forward to seeing lots of familiar but also new faces visiting us.
Prosit!
Jo Yardley

Celebratory Gift

"#Bock3000DaysInSL" by Tomais Ashdene
In commemoration of my 3,000 days in SecondLife I am offering this centerfold to all my adoring - and adorable - fans.

Although I have used a professional photographer the picture is offered to you all free of charge. Should you wish, you can also scratch the lower right corner of the picture and get the scent of me wearing my Armani Code cologne.

Enjoy, but please do not stain!
