Happy Holidays 2019

As editor in chief of Bock in SecondLife it is my duty - and indeed my great pleasure - to wish all our readers, friends, family and supporters, a very Happy Holiday* on behalf of the blog, the creative director, all the lazy princes and princesses on the staff and myself.
*) Bock in SecondLife is proud to be a participant in the alleged "War Against Christmas" spouted by right-wing media in the U.S.A.

P.S. The picture will also be the new Winter 2019 blog header.

Translator Added

In my continuous efforts to meet the wishes of my readers, I have today added a translator to the blog.

It is - and will always be - placed at the top of the left sidebar.

It's strange that I hadn't thought of adding a translator earlier, but it wasn't until a German friend told me today that he was sorry his English wasn't better so he could read my blog that I recognized the need for it.

Well better late than never! I hope it helps those of you who would want to use it, even if it is Google Translate with all its weaknesses it's still better than nothing. Google Translate supports over 100 languages at various levels, so hopefully, you will find your language in it.

White Christmas

I just finished a long and wonderful talk with both my brothers, Dej and JJ. Love the guys! And then I found this sweet cartoon Christmas card in the comment section of J.M.G, so I had to share it with you my loyal readers.

Sung by The Drifters. Cartoon by Joshua Held. Featuring Bill Pinkney on lead bass and Clyde McPhatter on tenor. An animated Christmas Card, and a homage to a great song, a great band, and a great Holiday.

Happy Holidays everyone, hugs and kisses!

Who Are You? - Reader Survey 2015

I have been blogging for a couple of years now and have shared my rants, tirades, thoughts and feelings about everything or nothing with you all.

Many of you have been coming here to read my blog for several years, others are just passing by, I know that much already from Google Analytics.

That tool also informs me - collectively, not individually - what countries you are from and what language you prefer to read, but there is so much more I want to know about you, my dear readers, that Google Analytics cannot tell me.

Today I have posted five surveys on the top right hand side of the blog and would be grateful if you answer them.

In addition to answering those five questions I would appreciate if you answered the question "Why do you read Bock in SecondLife?" in the comments.

This survey will close at June 10, 2015, at 12 AM (midnight) SLT.

Results of My Readers Survey 2014

A week ago I started a survey to elicit some more information about you, my dear readers. I allowed you a week to respond and the results are now in.

Here are the results:
Out of the 33 respondents on the first question, 27 (81%) identified as male, while 6 (18%) identified as females. None (0%) identified as Intersex, Transgender or Other.

Out of the 33 respondents on the second question, 22 (66%) identified as gay, 6 (18%) as straight, 3 (9%) as bisexual, 1 (3%) as asexual and 1 (3%) as other. None (0%) identified as lesbian.

Out of the 29 respondents on the third and final question (which allowed multiple answers), concerning reader involvement, 21 (72%) said they had commented, 6 (20%) said they had linked and 3 (10%) said they had shared, while the remaining 6 (20%) said they had neither commented, linked or shared.

---

Judging from the results of this survey we can conclude that the readers of Bock in SecondLife are an extremely cisgender (your experience of your gender matches the sex you were assigned at birth) crowd consisting of mainly gay men with a fairly high degree of reader involvement.

I thank all those of you who have bothered to take part in this highly unscientific study. Hugs and kisses to you all!

I Am Doing Requests, Or Something...

As every good DJ and blogger knows, sometimes you must interact with your listeners or readers and give them what they crave.

Recently two of my longtime readers have expressed thoughts which I chose to interpret as discrete requests and therefor am going to fulfill in this post.

First I would like to address Chaplin Early and his novel idea on the "manscaping" of a mans nasal hairs. I will not comment on this, except for saying:
"Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...!"

Next I wish to honor Kahvy Sands request for recognizing and highlighting the ascension to the throne of his royal majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, my dear cousin and a friend of the Commonwealth of Southern Enchantment in SecondLife.

My cousin is the first male regent of the Netherlands in 123 years. He became king after his mother abdicated from the throne, she is now known as her royal highness.Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands.

In the picture below you see him with his consort her royal majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, doesn't she look gorgeous in her coronation outfit and regalia?

Meeting My Unknown Admirer

A short time ago I was contacted in IM by Fingerdelice Metalune, whom I did not know before. She was kind enough to tell me she had been following my blog for awhile and wanted to tell me in person that she liked it.

That made me really very happy and proud. Of course I have realized that my blog may be read once in a while by people I didn't know, but I actually thought most of my returning readers were family, friends or among the Swedes and other Scandinavians in SecondLife.

Today I was invited over to Fingers´ home for a visit. Fingers showed me around her beautiful beach home in Cuban style.

Afterwards we went down to the beach for a nice chat.by the fireplace, we had a really pleasant time although too short because my curfew time for logging off arrived too soon. (I keep a strict routine during workdays because of my present troubles with insomnia.)

Even if it was much too short it was a very pleasant visit and Fingers was very kind to me, showering me with compliments on my blog. As all women know keeping a man well fed and giving him compliments are the surest way to gain his confidence and his heart. We are not at all hard to please...

I hope to see you again Fingers and we must make sure you come visit at Southern Charm some day soon.
