Beware Stockholm...

...the Bockmonster is coming to your town on Monday!

All women, children and pets are safe, but men between the ages 25 - 50 should take special care of themselves so they look stunning, hunky and hawt!

If you didn´t fall in love with me before 18:30 local time on Tuesday, you are safe again - for a while at least!

Pride Parade in Belgrade, Serbia, attacked

Pride parade under the motto "Together we can"

Today there was a HBT Pride Parade in Belgrade, Serbia. The parade consisted of  approximately 1 000 persons. To defend the parade against attacks from the amassed homophobes there were 5 000 Serbian police.

As far as it is known the police did a great job and the parade was concluded in an orderly manner. The attacking homophobes (5 000 -10 000 Serbian Nationalists, skin heads, assorted ruffians and other riff raff) are still fighting the police. 90 policemen have been injured so far.

42 Is the Answer! What Was the Question?

Douglas Adams was asked many times during his career why he chose the number 42. Many theories were proposed, but he rejected them all.

On November 3, 1993, he gave an answer on alt.fan.douglas-adams:
"The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do'. I typed it out. End of story."

Adams described his choice as "a completely ordinary number, a number not just divisible by two but also six and seven. In fact it's the sort of number that you could without any fear introduce to your parents."

A Question of Honour

Beautiful work by Iono Allen.

Musical Memories - Swedish Bloggers Relay

Cobra Starship - I Kissed a Boy (Music Video) from Max Welch on Vimeo.

This is a song I remember from the summer of 2008 (Yeah I know I rezzed in March 2007 but my memory is lousy about those first months - I dont think I actually found the music button until I met Ars...) This song was really huge on the SL gay scene! Ahh those were the days...

I remember them well, they were all about Ars, Ars, Ars, Ars and well Ars again and a bit of Guyke and Andrey too. I thought of Ars by day and dreamt of him by night. I hurried home from work to be with him, I stayed up too late to be with him.

Those were happy days! We worked on our house, we worked on our parcels at "Southern Charm", we hung out at "Ninth Wave Island" with Andrey, sarco, Yannis, Harley, Guyke and Orchid and the rest of the gang and their fans. We listened to all the "Sarco Sound" DJ´s as they trying out their music and sets.

Ah Yes, I Remember It Well

My little sister Millimina Salamander is reminiscing on her blog "Magasin Millimina" today, about The Killers and their song "Human". That got me thinking about this delicious jewell with Hermione Gingold and Maurice Chevalier in "Gigi".

He: "Am i getting old?"
She: "Oh no, not you!"

In Second Life 1,5 - 2 years are like 10 - 25 years in real life, but like in real life it is the women who remember the details best while we men mostly remember what we choose to remember.

Imagine John, you would be 70 today!

John Winston Ono Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles and, with Paul McCartney, formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.

Born and raised in Liverpool, Lennon became involved in the skiffle craze as a teenager, his first band, The Quarrymen, evolving into The Beatles in 1960. As the group began to undergo the disintegration that led to their break-up towards the end of that decade, Lennon launched a solo career that would span the next, punctuated by critically acclaimed albums, including John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine".

Happy imagined 70th birthday, John!

On my friend Eddi´s blog I found this great tip;
"To celebrate his birthday, visit the Imagine Peace Tower, a virtualized version of the one that Yoko Ono constructed in Iceland last year. Light shows go off every 20 minutes."
