Now Also in China

It is with great satisfaction I can now announce that this blog now also has had it´s first reader from the People's Republic of China.

Welcome to my worlds my Chinese friend, come again soon and please tell all your friends about this blog. (Ugh I don´t trust the Google translator so I apologize for any unintended insult.)

欢迎来到我的世界我的中国朋友,很快就回来,请告诉您对这个博客的朋友(唉,我不相信谷歌翻译,所以我道歉,任何意外的侮辱。)

Today China, tomorrow the rest of the world!

The Sweetest Proposal

I caught this story on Joe.My.God and had to share it with you! Read the full story here Metro UK

Well if you ever need an excuse...

This is a personal message to my son Guyke, who is in Finland right now: I hope you see lots of rainbows!

1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that when women make love they produce amounts of the hormone oestrogen, which makes hair shine and skin smooth.

2. Gentle, relaxed lovemaking reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis, skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced cleanses the pores and makes your skin glow.

3. Lovemaking can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic dinner.

4. Sex is one of the safest sports you can take up. It stretches and tones up just about every muscle in the body. It's more enjoyable than swimming 20 laps, and you don't need special sneakers!

5. Sex is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving you with a feeling of well-being.

6. The more sex you have, the more you will be offered. The sexually active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones. These subtle sex perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!

7. Sex is the safest tranquilliser in the world. It is 10 more times effective than Valium.

8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away. Kissing encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that causes decay, preventing plaque build-up.

9. Sex actually relieves headaches. A lovemaking session can release the tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain.

10. A lot of lovemaking can unblock a stuffy nose. Sex is a natural antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.

Alpha Males

Something I read on a blog, made me think of "Alpha males".

That lead me on to think about the works of "Tom of Finland" who´s real name was Touko Laaksonen (1920–1991). Laaksonen was a Finnish artist best known for his stylized androerotic and his influence on late twentieth century gay culture. He has been called the "most influential creator of gay pornographic images".

I would think his work is in part the role model to a great proportion of the rougher side of gay life, whether the men know of "Tom of Finland" or not.

What the images and magazines of "Tom of Finland" was to the gay men of those earlier days was in a way what our SecondLife is to some gay men today.

This was not a coherent post, because I am a bit on the tired side, but I wanted it out of my system...sorry readers.

For a Special Person

Love you always, miss you! (...and thanks again for reminding me about this song and Anthony and the Johnsons!)

If you aren´t married and have lots and lots of kids and grandchildren to take care of you when you are old, you can move home to my place and we will care for each other!

Rest assured, if you start smelling too much I will either lead you to the shower and help you to get cleaned up or call the undertakers. I am counting on you to do the same for me!

Please note though, no cats or swans allowed indoors, I am allergic to the cats and swans are mean and bite like hell!

Sydsvenskan Also Agrees With Bock

Today the editor in chief and responsible publisher of Sydsvenskan Mr. Daniel Sandström rushes in to support me in the issue concerning the publication of name and image of the supected gunman in Malmö.

For the brilliant analysis and the complete article (in Swedish only) please go here Sydsvenskan.

In his analysis, which is titled "When the Exception Becomes the Norm", Mr Sandström - among many other wise things - says (roughly translated), "How should we interpret "public interest"? The rules on press ethics don´t specify this. But you should use the words in a responsible manner, so that they will not be synonymous with "what people are curious about" or, even worse, "gossip". "Public interest" is about what the citizens have a right to know, or "what is important and relevant to citizens" as that phrase reads in the press ethics. If the detained 38-year-old was released and is free from suspicion, no one can say that his name is of "significance and importance to the citizens". Thus, it is currently too early to draw conclusions about the public interest, and therefore the precautionary principle must apply."

Mr Sandström continues, "Basically it is inherent in all publishing to show "a responsible attitude for the journalistic duties." Today, when information is disseminated on the Internet and is increasingly out of control, many believe that the media's refusal to state name and image has to do with censorship. Others believe that it is pointless to disidentify.

Wrong. The need for accountability does not decrease because others do not take responsibility. On the contrary, I would say. Right now, it is urgent to show that there are alternatives to a development that puts both journalistic ethics and personal integrity at stake."

No need to tell me, I already know Mr. Sandström never heard of The Much Honoured Bock McMillan, Laird of Southern Charm, but that´s really his loss!

"Deep Autumn"

Tomorrow Sunday November 14th, 2010, at 1 pm SLT, the awesome gallery Ventura Arte & Jardin opens it´s new exhibition "Deep Autumn" with the beautiful art of Rawnie Lane, Domitalia Jinx and Pumpkin Tripsa.

About the artists in their own words

Domitalia Jinx:
My work reflects my mood and inspiration of the moment. I find constant inspiration exploring the wonderful environments created here in SL just as I do exploring nature in the real world with my camera.  Landscape and nature photography is my first love, both SL and RL. However, SL is an incredible medium… to be able to manipulate my environment and create my own cast of characters to work with provides endless possibilities.

Rawnie Lane:
My passion has become my art. I am drawn to the beauty of SL and I tend to focus on landscapes. I enjoy experimenting with the windlight settings to change the mood of my pictures. Although some images are raw SL, the majority of the time I do use PhotoShop Elements to enhance my art. I am starting to use textures more and more because I feel it  it gives it an extra dimension. My art relaxes me and gives me the opportunity to express my moods in color and light.

Pumpkin Tripsa:
As the wise Ratty said,
        "There is nothing- absolutely nothing-
          half so much worth doing
as simply messing about in boats."

I believe the same to be true of Second Life and it's tools.  Hours can go by creating and they seem like moments to me. And in the end there is always something beautiful to share with friends and indeed all people. Art is itself a dialog and to be able to speak art's language in the presence of people from all over the world is one of the greatest miracles I've encountered.

I hope to see a lot of you there! It´s a classy place so I am guessing the champagne will be of the best quality and free...
