Priorities

I am feeling tired and drained at the moment. I only have energy to cope with my real life and work for a few days. When I come home from work I go to bed and sleep til the morning after.

Hopefully I will be back in SecondLife tomorrow friday and during the weekend.

Better Than Sex?

This is a blog response to Vanadis Falconer´s post "Låt oss tala om sex!" (Let´s talk about sex!) where she discusses the morals that seem to guide SecondLife, Iphone, Blogger etc., and the morality clauses that all these services carry with them. The fear of nudity, the fear to discuss anything sexual in an open and outright why is crippling.

At the end of her post Vanadis makes the parallel - that comes naturally for many of us Swedes - between the need for sex and talking about it as much as we need the traditional Swedish crisp bread called "knäckebröd".

Remembering my childhood years in Pakistan, where one of the true highlights and big thrills was the arrival every six months or so of the "package from home". That package was an enormous crate (2 x 2 x 4 meters) filled with all kinds of goddies for the Scandinavian community.

It always contained such delicacies as enormous amounts of knäckebröd, several 20 kilogram containers of  lingonberries, several 20 kilogram containers of pickled cucumbers and all other food that we Swedes in the diaspora yearned for.

I totally agree with Vanadis, really it is as important to talk about sex with an open mind as to enjoy eating knäckebröd. Hell for the time being I am totally relying on knäckebröd alone and it keeps me sane!

The Cute & the Cool

Ma´boys are back in the fold, well some of then - the ones I want and need most to be close to.

The cuteness that is Guyke Lundquist has even learned the trick how to look cute when you are kicking someone else´s teeth in. It´s a really funny picture.that Janttu made of him there.

The picture below shows you my wonderful, caring and loving son in-law, the coolness that is Janntu Winkler.

I am so happy that Guyke always had this nack of finding the sweetest asnd most wonderful men in his life. That is a great talent, he must have inherited it from his father Ars. (I have another picture of Janttu (absolutely mouthwatering), but I am not allowed to show you that one - well not yet.

My SecondLife would be much poorer without these two and my B-I-L Andrey and of course my little sister Millimina. I love them all to bits!

Happy Fourth Anniversary

Today we celebrate the fourth anniversary of the oldest Swedish blog still in existence "Min avatar heter Apmel".

The soul, the brain and the heart behind that blog is of course my bosom buddy and mentor Apmel Goosson. May there be many more years of blogging to come for you and "your relatives", Uncle Ib, Apmelina and Kludden.

P.S. I just checked and this blog celebrated it´s "real" first anniversary on January 12th, 2011, it was founded earlier but the first real blog post was on that day. So now you know what all we Swedes do in a New Year, we start a blog!

Hmmm the other two celebrating blogs chose a slogan for the coming year, I guess I should do so also! Mine will be "Let´s live, love and party!"
