Modern Tecnology

There is this amazing thing called "modern technology". Among other things it makes it possible for you to communicate with others electronically with the use of something called "email". It´s something like a digitally produced letter that get´s sent from your computer to the recipients computer instantly.

It would be a really wonderful invention if it weren't for the fact we have humans using it. Sometimes they forget to check, other times they forget to answer and then there are times that they mean to answer but forget about it.

Of course we mustn't forget there are also the times when they just don´t feel like answering or may even have blocked you or marked you as spam.

I sent a mail over a month ago to someone I thought cared and still have received an answer. And two days ago I sent one to my darling friend Millimina - and would you believe it - she actually hasn't answered yet!

We should start digitizing humans so they at least send out auto-responses "Thanks for your mail. I am not in the office right now but will get back to you a.s.a.p!"

Millimina, You´ve Got Mail!

UPDATE: Now I feel really guilty, because shortly after I had published this post I got a response from dearest Milli, she must have been writing it while I was posting. Sorry darling, ILY-A!

There is a SecondLife-group for Iendi´s transistor in which information on live broadcasts and contests will be announced. The group can be found in Ms. Iendi Laville´s profile, everyone is welcome to join.

Lonely Sunday - Hurts

Sunday by Hurts

There are times when we question the things we know
Never thought that the cracks will begin to show
We both know love is not that easy
I wish I'd known that it would be this hard to be alone.
Please, come home!

Loveless nights, they seem so long
I know that I'll hold you someday.
But till you come back where you belong
It's just another lonely Sunday.

Is this the end of the love that had just began?
I always hope that the best it was yet to come.
Please, come back, don't you leave me
We both so young, I know you need me too.
And there'll always be times like these.

Loveless nights, they seem so long
I know that I'll hold you someday.
But till you come back where you belong
It's just another lonely Sunday.

Maybe we'll see that we were wrong
If ever we look back one day
But till you come back where you'll belong
It's just another lonely Sunday.
Lonely, lonely.

If you don't come back tomorrow
I'll be left here in the cold
If you don't come back tomorrow, I'll go

Loveless nights, they seem so long
I know that I'll hold you someday.
But till you come back where you belong
It's just another lonely Sunday.

Maybe we'll see that we were wrong
If ever we look back one day
But till you come back where you'll belong
It's just another lonely Sunday.
Lonely, lonely.

Eurovision Song Contest 2011

Well tonights the night for the finals in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 from Dusseldorf, Germany.

Most of my gay friends and about seventy percent of the rest of the population in the European countries and Israel are going to sit in front of their television sets from 21.00 - 24.00 CET, thats 12 pm (noon) - 3 pm SLT.

If you don´t have the possibility to see it in real life I am told that several places in SecondLife are also showing it. Have fun!

Contrary to many of my gay friends I cannot stand ESC, so I will be going to bed with a hopefully good book.

Man, Know Thy Balls

During May 2011 there is a campaign in Sweden to raise awareness among men about testicular and prostate cancer.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. The vast majority of patients are cured. The earlier the disease is detected, the better.

It's good for men themselves to regularly examine their testicles so that any changes are detected quickly.

Testicular Self-exam
Decide on a fixed date each month that you feel through the testes. Take the opportunity when you stand in the shower or a bath. Hot water will relax the skin of the scrotum and make it soft and easier to investigate.

  • Support the scrotum and testicles in the palm of your hand, to feel their weight. One testicle may be slightly larger than the other, but they should be about the same weight.
  • Hold a testicle between the thumb and fingers, with your thumb on top and first and second fingers underneath. Roll the testicle gently, feeling for any hard lumps. A normal testicle is oval in shape; it feels firm but not hard and is smooth with no lumps.
  • Feel the epididymis, a sausage-shaped lump at the top and back of each testicle. It will feel soft and perhaps slightly tender.
  • Feel the spermatic cords which lead upwards from the epididymis and behind the testicles. They are firm, smooth tubes.
  • Do the same with the other testicle.

The symptoms of testicular cancer include:
  • a painless lump or swelling in a testicle
  • pain or discomfort in a testicle or in the scrotum
  • any enlargement of a testicle or change in the way it feels
  • a feeling of heaviness in the scrotum
  • a dull ache in the lower abdomen, back, or groin
  • a sudden collection of fluid in the scrotum.

Prostate Self-Exam
It's easy for a man to feel his own prostate gland. It's a walnut-sized organ at the base of the bladder. It can be felt with the tip of a finger inserted into the rectum. Its texture and firmness should be similar to that of the flesh between your thumb and the rest of the hand when you make a tight fist. If you feel anything that is as firm as the knuckle, then that needs to be brought to a physician's attention.

Not everyone experiences symptoms of prostate cancer. Many times, signs of prostate cancer are first detected by a doctor during a routine check-up.

Some men, however, will experience changes in urinary or sexual function that might indicate the presence of prostate cancer. These symptoms include:
  • A need to urinate frequently, especially at night
  • Difficulty starting urination or holding back urine
  • Weak or interrupted flow of urine
  • Painful or burning urination
  • Difficulty in having an erection
  • Painful ejaculation
  • Blood in urine or semen
  • Frequent pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs
You should consult with your doctor if you experience any of the symptoms above.Because these symptoms can also indicate the presence of other diseases or disorders, such as BPH or prostatitis, men will undergo a thorough work-up to determine the underlying cause.

Blogger Cockup

Well that was awful, Blogger screwed up during a scheduled maintenance, and now we are all suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

Some of my friends seem to have lost many posts also, or atleast they are not back yet. I haven´t noticed that problem on my blog though, but that could be because I have a poor memory..

Here is the explanation given by Eddie Kessler, Tech Lead/Manager at Blogger on Blogger Buzz today.

Bad things sometimes happen for no particular reason, we all know that, and sometimes when it starts happening it just piles up into a big muckheap.

Hopefully we can trust the promise that the lost posts will be restored during the next few days and that this will not happen again.
