Soloing

As my hubby is away on an important function in his first life and the Second Pride meeting I was supposed to be at lacked quorum, I took the opportunity to go out flying on my own for an hour in my Seakite.
The Blake Sea was busy, but I did not get in anybody's way and didn't crash into any apartment buildings either - or crash at all for that matter.

The Natural Born Aviator

When I was a little child I always dreamed of becoming a pilot. Later, I was informed by older friends and a few well-meaning but cruel adults that I did not have what it takes because of my impaired vision. Nevertheless I kept the dream alive deep within until I was an adolescent, always hoping that some cure or a visual aid would be found that meant I could fulfill the dream.

Finally I accepted my fate and got rid of the dream and lost all interest for flying and airplanes, still knowing that I would have been a wonderful pilot if I had been given the chance. Well, that chance came along yesterday even if it was "only" in SecondLife.
As most of you know by now, my husband Tomais is nuts with every kind of vehicle in existence in-world. He - I have no doubts - owns at least one copy of anything and everything that can be flown, sailed, steered, paddled, rolled or driven in-world.
When I bought a helicopter on a hunch a few weeks back, he told me that that particular model was extremely difficult to start flying with so I should start with a Seakite seaplane (url to Marketplace) instead. The Seakite can carry four passengers and has an option to share controls with a co-pilot.

We tried it out the day before yesterday, with Tomais as pilot and me as co-pilot. Tomais showed me the things I needed to think about when flying the aircraft and handed over the controls to me. It was exhilarating and thrilling to know that I was actually flying the plane myself, even if Tomais was there to keep us safe.
Yesterday we tried again, this time with me alone as the pilot. It was amazing and all went extremely well. I was of course, just as I have known all along, a natural born aviator.
As I was too busy with flying the aircraft and to excited about it to think of anything else, all the above photos are taken by my royal consort, Mr. Tomais Ashdene Esq.

Later on we went for a spin in one of Tomais fighter planes, which is of course much more advanced and faster. After having piloted an aircraft myself I could understand what was happening better and could also relax from my own adventurous experience.

SP Meeting - March 30, 2014, 12PM (noon) SLT

This post is a reminder that there will be a Second Pride Board meeting today Sunday March 30, 2014, at 12.00 PM (noon) SLT.

The agenda of the day looks pretty uneventful, but one never really knows what is hidden in these documents or what may just happen. So I am going, as I mostly do, and hope to be joined by many of you.

Here is your parade float to the auditorium at the Second Pride sim (SLurl).

Guyke Turns Seven Today

Believe it or not, but it is true nonetheless, today is the seventh rezday of my son and heir, the Crown Prince of Southern Charm and "The Cuteness that is Guyke"™.

I, of course, have in my possession some of the oldest, the ugliest and the most horrific pictures of the man, but today I will only show you some of the best.

Here are three of my favorites, all of them taken by JJ Goodman II.

Happy seventh rezday, my darling Guyke!

Male Bonding In SecondLife

When my genius and well adjusted husband Tomais was asked by his housemate what he, Dej and I were up to yesterday evening, he responded: "Male Bonding at its best in SecondLife, we are tinting our dicks."

At that point we could hear Tomais's housemate, a woman, breaking down in frantic laughter for some unknown reason. Women are strange, aren't they?

Before
Tomais and I had bought Dej a new Aeros Magnus and a pair of new Ispachi feet for his upcoming first life birthday and Tomais was helping Dej tint the new items while I said some encouraging words from time-to-time.

First things first, we of course had to start with tinting the cock.

I must say, I do think the boys did an excellent job!

Just A Bar@Burnal Equinox 2014

I am extremely happy to announce to the world that Clan McMillan is represented at this years Burn2 in SecondLife. The Burn2 opened yesterday and ends on Sunday with the burning of the all the builds.

My beloved and trusted Sergeant at Arms sirhc DeSantis McMillan was chosen by the organizers of the event a while back, but I was sworn to secrecy by the sweet man and have not been able to share the information with you earlier.

As a part of my lairdly duties I was happy to visit the build yesterday accompanied by my royal consort Tomais. At our arrival we were heartily greeted by Sarge and his adorable spouse, my dear friend, Mrs. Vampi Twine DeSantis McMillan McMillan (honorary).
Contrary to his spouse my Sarge is an exceptionally accomplished hugger
sirhc's build is a bar in the skies that offers the other builders and all the visitor a space for rest, relaxation, friendly chat and meditation. The architecture is definitely "steampunkish" in style and highly imaginative and creative.

I must however warn all visitors to mind where they walk, as the build completely lacks railings and there is a long fall to the ground.
The sweet hosts are already aflame in anticipation of the burning that will take place on Sunday March 30, 2014, at 10 PM SLT (if I am correctly informed).

Here is the landmark to Just a Bar (SLurl), it will take you to the ground level under the bar. You will land in an acidic green slush that may be green diesel or rocket fuel.

To get up to the bar you will need to cam straight above - it may be helpful to use the surrounding walls - and when your camera reaches the build above you right click and choose "sit".

Once you have seen sirhc's build you may wish to look around at the other attractions, the organizers offer a comfortable balloon tour for doing that.
