Who Would've Known...? (Updated)

The lairds groundskeeper Butch Diavolo recently set up home at Southern Charm. He has built himself a suitably humble cottage there, exquisitely (of course) furnished with the best of Van Auster's work from Post.

The evening before last the laird, his spouse and the little prince visited with Butch to talk and relax in the company of friends and family. We all admired the work that Butch had done with decorating the cottage and complimented him for it.
I recognized a fun and beautiful work of art on the wall that has been made by the extremely talented SecondLife photographer Spanki Moulliez. Butch is supposedly one of the avatars in the picture, but it is hard to tell as the three avatars in it all have cardboard boxes pulled over their heads.

We all had a very pleasant evening chatting about everything and nothing. Tomais - who has a reputation of being an expert on male appendages - helped one of us with resizing a dick to more pleasing proportions. All-in-all we had a wonderful evening together.

Who would've known that it was an end of a seven year era?

Update: I have corrected an embarrassing mistake where I named the photographer incorrectly. My apologies to both Spanki and the person I mistakenly named.

Thank you Butch for pointing out my mistake!

Biggest Butch in the Basket

Yesterday we had a rare visit these days. The Biggest Butch in the basket revisited SecondLife and his friends.

It reminded me of why I love Butch. He is such a funny big bitch with a heart and keeps us all on our toes to avoid feeling his lashing tongue scathe and smart our sensitive (*Mhhmmmm*) and lily-white skins.

This was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting Misteltoe in-world, although we have been communicating for some years now on each others blogs.

DJ Butch's Final Set - For Now...

Yesterday my sweet friend Butch Diavolo informed all of us that he, for personal reasons, had decided to go on an indefinite hiatus from SecondLife.

Butch's s final set before the break was at Q Lounge yesterday and many of his fans and friends came there to thank him and to say "au revoir", all of us adamantly refusing to say goodbye to a beloved friend and DJ.

I have always found it extremely difficult to say farewell to someone who has meant much to me, someone who is close and that I care deeply about. Especially in SecondLife, where "taking a break" often enough seems to lead to quitting the virtual world altogether.

Of course I do not question Butch's decision. He is the only one fit to make it and I am sure that he has thought it through before coming to this conclusion, but I will miss him. Butch has always been extremely helpful, kind, caring, loving towards me, although I have gotten my fair share of his ever flowing sarcastic humor.

For now I am content with the reassurance that Butch is doing what he believes he must do and his promise to me that he will in fact attend The Elopement Party that I and Tomais are throwing on March 8th.

Ik vind je zeer veel en zal je missen, mijn vriend! Kom terug naar ons straks weer, wanneer je voelt dat je de energie. (Google Translated, so if it says I want your hot body pressed to mine, it is accurate!)

I Sensed It

Although I am famous for my lack of observation skills I had sensed that something was going on with Butch and that it could have something to do with the friendly and delicious Spanki Moulliez.

The curmudgeon Butch had suddenly started wearing shoes - without me ordering him to - so something was definitely shifting. Through the gay grapevine in SecondLife (Guyke) I also learned that Butch had been at Aeros to purchase a "Magnus", the pleasant to look at male appendage on sale in that store. This accumulated knowledge combined with my observation that Butch was always a bit extra elated whenever Spanki was around during his or anyone else's sets spoke volumes to me, but I did not dare trust my senses or speak of it for fear of jinxing it.

Then I heard through the grapevine (same source as above) that Butch had spilled the beans, but I wanted to hear it from the man himself to really believe it. So when I met Butch on Christmas Day I asked outright him if he had anything to tell me, after playing coy and unknowing for awhile he finally admitted to the truth. I was overjoyed and congratulated him profusely as Spanki is one of the most wonderful, kindhearted and talented men I know.

Yesterday the two finally saw fit to go public and, as we all know, in this day and age there is no better way to do that than to announce it on Facebook.
Announcement on Facebook - December 26, 2013
I am so thrilled and happy for the two wonderful men, but I can also see that Spanki has his work cut out for him.

It will be no easy task, dearest Spanki, but remember that you can always come to me and Guyke for support, like you we wish the best for the amazing Butch and, just like you, we see the minute flaws he has that need to be remedied. Let my however in closing pass on some hopeful news to you, my personal shopper told me yesterday that Butch had contacted him to get advice on where to shop for shoes...

An Impromptu Christmas Dinner

´Twas the day before, the day before, the day before, the day before Christmas (that would be Saturday December 21, 2013, for those who have difficulty with counting) that the picture below was taken.
Butch, Guyke, Tomais, I and Dej at the table in Tom's kitchen.
My men and I had started talking about when we were going to celebrate the holiday together before we each went off to spend some time with our first life families and/or friends, but had not decided on a date yet.

I was hailed by Dej when I logged into my SecondLife earlier than usual on Saturday. My brother was in an exceptionally jolly mood and invited me to come over to hear him play some music on the grand piano he has in his conservatory. I happily accepted the invitation.

After a while of we were joined by the topic of Dej's and my conversation, my lover Tomais.
At first Tom took a seat in the window, demurely listening as Dej and I continued playing duets on the piano, but then Dej  remembered that there was a third pose on the piano so he joined us there.
Tom got bolder as we kept on chatting away on Skype and changed to more daring outfits, cheered on by Dej and me.
Somewhere at this point we were joined by first Guyke and soon afterwards Butch and decided to go somewhere where we could all sit and talk comfortably. We first tried my kitchen table, but as I could not provide sustenance we moved on to Tom's kitchen where the table could provide us with a complete traditional Christmas dinner.
We sat there and talked together for hours and hours, all of us in high spirits and enjoying each others company to the fullest.
When Butch had to leave us to set up his set at Q Lounge, the remaining four of us continued talking away and relaxing in Tom's sitting room, where we were served coffee, before joining Butch at his set.

Some hours later I noticed that Tom was getting a tired, he had been suffering from a bad cold for a few days and had had problems sleeping properly due to congestion. I decided to send Tom to bed and tucked him in properly.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that this had been a magical and wonderful day, one of the top five marvelous days in my entire SecondLife existence.

Oh, I almost forgot, we actually also had sort of a Christmas miracle. Dej and Guyke, who in the past have had some difficulty getting along, didn't even bicker at each other once. The two have instead since then joined forces to instruct Tom and me on how to go about things, sticking their noses into matters that are none of their concerns. The only reason I accept and forgive them for this is that they are family and that is what families do - as I know well having done so on more than one occasion when it comes to both their lives.

Bock in SecondLife and I, it's editor in chief,
wishes all of you and your families in first and SecondLife
an equally wonderful and magical Christmas holiday
and we hope to see you all safely back with us soon!

"Something Has Come Up"

I was out shopping for new apparel with Tom, Guyke and Butch yesterday, when Tom suddenly tells us "Something has come up that I have to take care of". Nothing more. We said our goodbyes and see you tomorrows and the other two and I continued shopping.

Guyke took me to one of his secrets, a wonderful designer where I got an awesome outfit, see the picture below.
When I logged in to Facebook today I learned that Tomais has gone to the emergency room at the hospital with a suspected blood clot in his leg, although it later turned out to be something less serious that can be cured with antibiotics.

My initial reaction was first relief that Tom was not in any danger, but then I got tremendously angered by the fact that he had kept this news from me. I thought of what could have happened if it had actually been a clot or something equally evil and I didn't know of it and something went awry. I wanted to kick him, beat him up and yell at him for being so thoughtless, while at the same time I wanted to hold him and kiss him and talk to him and make sure he was really safe and would get well. (I am ashamed to admit it, but as you perhaps can notice, everything suddenly turned from worry about Tom and his health to what coulda, woulda, shoulda happened and how it would affect me.)

Tom handled me calmly, I am happy to say, and told me to log in-world where we could talk about it. He soon had me settled down and also promised that if anything like this ever happened again he would keep me informed. With that knowledge and knowing he was safe, I could go for my nap and try to sleep away the headache I have had all day.

Labors of Love

When the Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm etc. etc., returned home yesterday evening after a 24-hour excursion to first life he was completely blown away, baffled and extremely excited, elated and exhilarated to see the work that his loved ones had been up to in his absence.

Southern Charm looked more beautiful than ever before. My loving family and friends had undertaken to perform some of the landscaping and winterizing on huge parts of the sim. Beautiful winter trees had been planted in many places, while the previous trees and plants had been lifted far into the skies.
I cried out with joy when I saw what they had achieved, and to be honest, I kept on yelling much of the evening as I noticed the details one after the other. Tears of happiness flooded my eyes repeatedly, but especially when I saw what they had around Ars' Memorial.

The hairs on my arms, legs, neck and back stood to attention most of the evening as I saw what my loving family had done. They know me and my tastes so well that I was completely overjoyed. I was much too happy to take many pictures, but I am using two were taken at my new ice skating pond (where the meadow used to be).

Thank you so much, my sweet darlings and lover, this was the most wonderful gift I could get. I cannot even imagine how I will ever be able to repay you.

And here is a bonus picture of Guykechen in snow.

Snogging & Ice Skating

Guyke, the clever boy, has set up an ice skating pond at his and Zigg's enlarged home. Tomais and I went there to try it out yesterday with the boys themselves, Butch and Helene Dragoone.
Tomais and I look good together, while
Ziggy in the background shows off with a daring posture
Now both Guyke and Ziggy, who both are more experienced ice skaters, show off
Tomais and I try to escape to Guyke's & Ziggy's igloo for some alone time
...but we are kept under strict surveillance by Guyke, Ziggy and Helene

We don't care about their spying eyes and feel alone in a world full of people...
Thanks for inviting us over boys, we had a great time!

Catching up...

There is so much happening in my lives now, mostly the second, that I have a bit of catching up to do.

I have started a huge landscaping project to update Southern Charm while still keeping it beautiful. The creators and gardeners have been busy the last three years and there are so many better and more beautiful trees and plants on the market now. It is also something I firmly believe Ars and I would have done gradually if he had still been alive.

To my help in this project I have forcibly enrolled the assistance of my boyfriend Tomais, my son Guyke, my brother in-law Dej and my dear friend the intuitive, sublime and brilliant - yet amazingly humble - builder Butch. They - sometimes with the assistance of other friends - have guided me gently in this new world of seasonal trees and plants and other beautiful things that can be used in modern SecondLife landscaping.

I started by clearing of the old "flat" trees and only kept the old pine trees for the time being. Then I returned a shitload of stuff to the original landscaper, the original sim owner, former tenants and a few strange visitors that had somehow managed to rez things where they should be able to. This freed up almost 3.000 more prims (or whatever the modern term for this may be these days), so that I now have close to 6.000 prims to work with.

Next thing was the waterfall running from under the house. It got a major facelift.

I have slowly started replanting with trees that can be changed to any season with a single click according to my whim. It is awesome! Of course I will need different kinds of trees to, but so far I am going about this slowly.

Next thing will be to change the sims ground textures to winter, and in time get the other seasonal ground textures also. There are things I want to keep relatively close to the original design so I am going forward slowly.

And when I am not working on the landscaping I take time to smooch with Tomais and go out with friends and family.

Yesterday I took Tomais to visit with Ars at Mirromere. I warned tomais beforehand that if Ars didn't like the idea of me having him around he would most likely be ejected from the sim or get electrocuted by his own computer. Ars had his ways and means of showing how he felt...
However, Tomais was quite safe and nothing bad happened during our visit, so I am choosing to take that as an encouragement from Ars and that he after screening Tomais has found him worthy.

Later last evening I and Tomais went sleighing and skating at Calas Galadhon with Guyke and Ziggy. Ziggy has posted beautiful pictures of that enchanted evening here Ziggy On The Edge Of Second Life: A Night To Remember

Mission of Mercy

My prospective lover and I decided to go out motorboating yesterday. As Butch logged into SecondLife just as Tomais was preparing the boat he was invited to join us.
After we had been out to sea, enjoying the sun, wind and pleasant conversation (although I was secretly irritated by Butch shamelessly flaunting his huge bulge at my boyfriend) Tomias informed us that he had received a "Mayday"-call. Apparently the Prince of Paradijs, my son and heir, had been out flying with Dex Moleno in one of my son's latest toys (The big spender bought no less than t-w-o airplanes yesterday) and had now crashed somewhere in the middle of the Blake Sea.

I suggested to Tomais that we should ignore it and let the princeling stew a while on the desolate island, but the man has a heart of gold and was by the steering wheel so it was - after a little bickering on my part - decided that we would be merciful and pick Guyke up anyway.
When we arrived at the island the poor princeling was huddling by a fire and looked like a drowned cat, at that moment my heart overflowed (temporarily) with warm and fuzzy feelings and I was happy that I had been persuaded.
Having picked up Guyke we continued the trip across the Blake Sea and later ended up getting merman-outfits and merman-AO's, but thats another post.
