Tell Tomais I Love Him

I haven't seen much of my darling Tomais during the last two weeks, except for the weekend, due to the USA switching to Daylight Savings Time two weeks before Europe and our different work hours.
I am giving all my readers a mission on my behalf, please tell Tomais that I love him on his timeline on Facebook. Just a simple "Bock loves you, Tomais!" will do perfectly.

Don't worry if anyone else has already done it, you do it too! After all, he cannot get the message too many times can he? Not even 10,000 times is enough, but I don't have that many readers that are also friends with us both on Facebook so I will take as many as I get and be grateful for your help.

Sweden and the rest of Europe will switch to DST during the upcoming weekend and everything will be normalized again. Thank the Babylonians!

Grumpy

I am grumpy this evening and am going to make it an early night.

A list of possible, but not extensive, reasons for my grumpiness
  1. I haven't seen my Tomais since the weekend
  2. DST ended on Sunday morning in Europe, and I have a DST-hangover (phrase coined by Butch Diavolo)
  3. I didn't sleep well last night
  4. I had a dentist appointment first thing this morning
  5. I haven't seen my Tomais since the weekend and he is teasing me with amazing pictures of himself
  6. I miss Tomais
  7. I'm hungry but it's after 8PM and I don't want to stuff my mouth this late
  8. I have a slight headache
  9. I wish every country on the Northern Hemisphere switched to and from DST at the same day
  10. I am bad at writing lists like these...
Good night, stay safe and hopefully I will see some of you tomorrow. If you should happen to see my lover in-world, please tell him that I am doing spectacularly well and don't seem to miss him at all!

Showing Today at the Southern Charm Drive-In

Todays film is, Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

Movie starts at 9AM SLT at the Southern Charm drive-in movie theater. Please be there in time, the screening waits for no one, except for the laird, i.e. me, naturally.
------------

This event was cancelled due to me forgetting about the "Fall Back" in Europe, I arrived 45 minutes late and no one was around anymore. My apologies to everyone who may have been there.

Spring Forward 2015

On Sunday March 8, 2015 (today), at 2 AM the United States - except for Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation Community) and Hawaii - and thereby SecondLife Time (SLT) also started Daylight Saving Time (DST) and "spring forward" the clocks to 3 AM.

The following four weeks will mean a period of total time confusion in SecondLife before Europe and Australia catch up.

Europe "springs forward" on Sunday March 29, 2015, while Australia (in the southern hemisphere) "fall back" on Sunday April 5, 2015.

...and then all will be well for awhile until the fall, when we go trough the opposite confusion.

UPDATE: Edited according to my friend Petr's correct observation in his comment below!

Fall Back in Europe 2014

Last night Daylight Savings Time (DST) ended in Europe, at 3 AM Sunday morning we had "fall back"and the hour we lost in spring was returned to us.

This as usual heralds a period of biannual confusion in a global community like SecondLife.

Australia and New Zealand have already gone "spring forward" on October 5, 2014, but SecondLife, the U.S.A and Canada do not "fall back" until Sunday November 2, 2014.

Spring Forward 2013

On Sunday March 10, 2013 (today), at 2 AM the United States (except Hawaii) - and thereby SecondLife Time (SLT) also - started Daylight Saving Time (DST) and "spring forward" the clocks to 3 AM.

The following four weeks will mean a period of total time confusion in SecondLife before Europe and Australia catch up.

Europe "springs forward" on Sunday March 31, 2013, while Australia (in the southern hemisphere) "fall back" on Sunday April 7, 2013.

...and then all will be well for awhile until the fall, when we go trough the opposite confusion.

Fall Back in Europe

Tonight's the night when Daylight Savings Time (DST) ends in Europe, at 3 AM Sunday morning we "fall back" and get the hour back that we lost in spring.

This as usual heralds a period of confusion in an International community like SecondLife.

Australia and New Zealand have already gone "spring forward" on October 7, 2012, but SecondLife, the U.S.A and Canada do not "fall back" until Sunday November 4, 2012.

Spring Forward in Europe

On Sunday March 25, 2012, at 2 AM, Europe also starts Daylight Saving Time (DST) and "spring forward" the clocks to 3 AM.

This should alleviate some of the present confusion about time in SecondLife but we still have to wait for Australia (in the southern hemisphere) to "fall back" on Sunday April 1, 2012, for everything to go back to normal.

The Biannual Confusion

Spring forward
On Sunday March 11, 2012, at 2 AM the United States (except Hawaii) - and thereby SecondLife Time (SLT) also - start Daylight Saving Time (DST) and "spring forward" the clocks to 3 AM.

The following three weeks will mean a period of total time confusion in SecondLife before Europe and Australia catch up.

Europe "springs forward" on Sunday March 25, 2012,  while Australia (in the southern hemisphere) "fall back" on Sunday April 1, 2012.

...and then all will be well for awhile until the fall, when we go trough the opposite confusion.

I cannot understand why the International community cannot agree on the same two dates for starting and ending DST. How damn difficult can it be anyway? We are talking a three week period here, just agree on one or the other or a Sunday in between and let us avoid the mess.
