SP Board Meeting 02/16/2019 - Minutes Posted

To assist my dear sexy friend Cay (cayson.triellis) and my adorable husband Tomais, the minutes from the board meeting they attended and found bewildering, confusing or downright objectionable are now posted at the Second Pride website (url) under "Documents". This (url) is the direct link to the aforementioned document for the lazy buggers.

The minutes contain a lot of great news, here I will only mention a few select ones.

• Second Pride is applying to become an LGBT+ Gateway to SecondLife. If approved by Linden Lab the organization would save USD249 per month in tier and can reduce its costs - thereby being able to donate more to charitable LGBT+ causes in first life.
• Changes in the mission statement of the Bylaws accepted by the board, to be voted on by the Membership.
• Members are - as has been mentioned in a previous post - invited to contribute with their ideas on an updated logo for Second Pride, a theme for the Festival in June, and additional services they would like from Second Pride.
• The 15^th annual Second Pride Festival will take place between June 14^th and 23^rd, 2019.
• New and improved donation kiosks are now available.

P.S. The Build Director also promised Cay to consider reintroducing floats parade in the festival.

Second Pride Needs Your Talent & Insight

Second Pride is currently accepting submissions from the Membership (that’s you, or at least should be) in three areas. 

The areas are.

1. New logo
2. Theme for the festival in June
3. Suggestions for other services that Second Pride can provide

Please take time to read the information at the Second Pride website (url) and even if you don’t think your idea is good enough, Second Pride wants to hear from you!

3-Day Halloween & Birthday Party, 29-31 October

Halloween is always a busy party-season in SecondLife, not any less so this year than other years.

My friend Teej Morpork asked me to help him with adverting his 3-day party event, so here goes. I hope it helps, buddy!

The Elopement Party

When Tomais and I eloped in the early hours of New Years Day to get married we were badgered by family members and friends for having cheated them out of a tear filled ceremony and a wedding party.

As the first was exactly what we had wanted to avoid and the second was something we didn't mind a bit, Tomais and I decided to throw an elopement party for everyone to be able to share our happiness in being joined in marriage.

When we had decided to have a party, the next thing to decide was when to have it. We immediately received quite a few instructions on when not to throw it, because if we did someone could not be there. In the beginning we were pliable and kept putting it off, but finally we put our foot down and decided to set a date that suited the two of us.

We know of course that some of you will not be able to make it to this party, but that is bound to happen whatever date we decided on. Instead we would like you to know that this will definitely not be the last party we ever throw and that you will hopefully be able to come to all of the others!

WHY: Share and celebrate our happiness at being together

WHERE: The Lounge in the Sky at Southern Charm (SLurl)
WHAT TO WEAR: The theme is "A Night at the Movies", so come as your favorite movie characters
WITH: DJ Ryder Yowman and DJ Rylan Sirnah
WHO: Personal invitations are going to be sent out during the weekend at the latest, but you should also regard this as your invitation!

No gifts please, we are going to set up a donation box for a charity TBD.
