Thoughts on France´s expulsion of Romani

Reverend Martin Niemöller (1892–1984), a pastor in the German Confessing Church who spent seven years in a concentration camp, said in hindsight:.

"First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.

Then they came for the Socialists,
and I didn´t speak up,
because I wasn´t a Socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn´t speak up,
because I wasn´t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me."

---------
Evil wrongdoings usually don´t just suddenly happen. There are warnings but we are not willing to act or react out of complacency, cowardice or just pure laziness.

The good reverend could of course also have added mental patients, disabled, romani and homosexuals at the start of his list. And if he had lived in this day and age he would surely have added muslims.

Scary

The figure above is scary!

It shows the support for the fascist Swedish Democratic Party (SD) in the opinion polls.

The fact that SD seem to have gained support from more than 4 % (the entry threshold to the Swedish parliament, "the Riksdag") means that the fascists - for the first time ever in Swedish history - could get seats in the Riksdag.

For the love of democracy,
for the love of tolerance and
for the love of Sweden
Vote on Sunday September 19th, 2010!

There are three clear alternatives in this election, the RedGreen-coalition, the Alliance or SD. If you abstain from voting or cast a blank vote you - by default - vote for SD!

In my opinion, if you don´t see the alternatives you have just been too damned lazy. Use Saturday to check out the websites of the political parties and take a stand on Sunday.

Keep fascists out of our Riksdag!

To Mialinn

To my friend, Her Majesty the Queen Mialinn of Second Norway.

Sorry dearest Mialinn, I have a very bad cold so I am too tired to get in to see the ABBA-show in Second Norway tonight. I hope you all have a great time. As you already know I visit Second Norway often and I have always loved it there!

...and always remember, men should wear only black cycling shorts if they must wear them at all. If they are black, people will not get heart attacks and we will be spared from the indignity of public drooling!

Why I - eventually - tried out SecondLife

This is the newspaper article that lead to my joining Second Life, I was happy to find it again.

You can read the full article here.

Mobbingbarn

Niels Jensens classic from 1979 in the beautiful Scanian dialect. Niels was only 15 at the time, whatever became of him I suddenly wonder...

Re: bicycle pants

Someone asked me why I want bicycle pants banned.

I thought a picture might say more than a thousand words. Above you see a picture of a Polish bicycle team.
