Congratulations, SecondLife!
I would like to take this occasion to thank Philip Linden, in first life also known as Philip Rosedale, the founding father of our world, who first envisioned something far less complicated and more militant than the spectacular, wonderful and fabulous world we inhabit today.
Besides Philip there were other brilliant and fabulous geeks and nerds, those who first understood what he was rambling about and could assist him in creating the very first version of our world and then the later generations of amazing and lovable tech geeks and nerds at Linden Lab who kept on tweaking, adjusting and adding to the original version during the first marvelous ten years.
I love all of you adorable dorks, Philip Linden, Andrew Linden, Cory Linden, Frank Linden, James Linden, Doug Linden, Eric Linden, John Linden, Tessa Linden (who kept the first generation fueled with caffeine and dealt with matters so that the geeks and nerds wouldn't have to drop their work and do it) and all the other amazingly talented geeks and nerds and other wonderful people that followed, including Belinda Linden, Keira Linden and Theresa Linden. All of the amazing Lindens, with the single exception of that awful man M Linden, the s-o-b who downsized Linden Labs dramatically and so left us hanging with loads of untreated and unsolved issues for a long time.
You all and we made it through the first ten years, my darlings, now give us ten more wonderful years!

The Gallery Assis Party
DJ Cupric is an entirely new acquaintance to me. Before today I can only remember him from his contribution at last years Second Pride to Petr Hastings-Vanbeeck's It gets Better Project in SecondLife The main reason that I remember him from that is my soft spot for redheads.

DJ Regi @ Second Pride
I have known Regi Yifu since the very early days. We are both seasoned veterans who have been around the block a few times. In the old days Regi mostly used his creativity to build, create and design the most amazing accessories, clothes and interesting, funny or useful contraptions.
A couple of years ago Regi started DJ-ing with great success and also began organizing with his now immensely famous (at least in gay SecondLife) "Splash parties" (pool parties).

The Amacci Party
Yesterday it was time for my buddy Butch Diavolo to DJ at the Amacci Party at Second Pride. I had been looking forward to it ever since Butch told me he would be playing a set at Pride.
Butch started out hard and then he kept nailing it in deeper with every song he played. I thought he had an exceptionally good evening, but when I asked him afterwards how he felt about the set he said it had felt "OK". I told him he was silly and should stop bashing himself. The man was in all likelihood just exhausted after having played two sets back.to-back.
The fast working charmer I had met also came to the party. We had a long and pleasant conversation - or so I thought. However, I must have said or done something wrong because when I got online again later he had dissolved our friendship. "Well, easy come, easy go", I thought to myself even if it saddened me a little, but it really is better if people pull out sooner than later from something they do not believe they will enjoy.
I feel a bit ashamed writing this on the blog, and may possibly remove it at a later time. But as I have said many times before, this blog is mainly written as a journal for myself accounting what I experience in any of my lifes. I do not like failing at something and this was obviously something I did not handle well. As it is a learning experience it belongs here so I can remember it and learn from it in future relationships.

The Second Pride Memorial Chapel
It is an extraordinarily beautiful building placed close to the waters and is surrounded by trees. The wonderful place is unexpectedly calm and serene, considering how busy the rest of the three sims are.
At the back of the chapel there are two small tables, one in each corner, with candles that can be lit for a lost friend or loved one.
I was very pleased to notice that there were three candles already lit for my Ars and I lit a fourth. It also made me happy to see that Kris Mounier was still loved and remembered by someone, Ars always had a great deal of affection for that kind man.
