Project -15: May the Works Commence!

Yesterday I and my home-team met again with Samuel Fallen of Lytton & Fallen (L&F)  for further discussions and to see if we could seal a deal on the project. L&F consists of Samuel and his partner Spliff Lytton. The company provides services in interior design, landscaping and custom builds for SecondLife.

Although it is still winter on Southern Charm, the first touch of spring can be felt. It was a rather mild day yesterday so I decided to show some leg during the discussions. To be quite honest, that has been a highly successful tactic and has in hindsight landed me with more advantages than I would otherwise rightly deserve.
So with bare legs I, my royal consort Tomais and my royal groundskeeper Butch "Bj" Diavolo-Gracemount met with Samuel at the site. We had a very good discussion in which Samuel evidenced some qualities that I appreciate very much in my fellow humans. Samuel was receptive to our thoughts and ideas but was also outspoken and straightforward in his responses in a pleasant manner. He also has a no-nonsense attitude and strives for a realistic look in his designs.

I am happy to inform you that we sealed a mutually advantageous deal yesterday and that the work on the project will now begin.

After the meeting I was totally thrilled and excited, this is going to be so much fun!

No Shoes. No Shirt. No Service.

Yesterday we took a break from our worries - (Well OK, my worries) - concerning Project -15 and instead inaugurated the new drive-in movie theater over by the barn. We in this case were my Tomais, Butch and I.
Although the sign says that it's "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" that is showing now, we in fact watched "The Avengers" (because that is the only movie in my libarary so far), or most of it.

It was a bit nippy in the air still, but we had a good time listening to Butch's running commentary on what was happening on the screen, or his interpretation of it...

"Project -15" - The Before Pictures

As I have already told you, my dear readers, in my post "It's Time for A Change", I have decided on some exciting developments for Southern Charm.

Yesterday I and my advisers, my husband Tomais Ashdene and my groundskeeper Butch Diavolo, met with a professional landscaper. (Who turned out to be another old friend of mine, I really do need to make a list about what skills my friends have. More about in another post though!)

The landscaper we met with was Samuel Fallen of "Lytton & Fallen". Samuel took a look around the parcel and we discussed a few things that are important to me. He will hopefully get back to me soon with a cost estimate for the necessary works. If all goes well the work itself will hopefully start during the coming week.

Another good thing that I have decided, which came out of the discussion with Samuel, was to update all the vegetation on Southern Charm to season changing stuff from Botanical. In that way future season changes on the plants will be accomplished with a click on a HUD instead of the hassle it has been up until now.

Today I documented the project site to get some before-pictures. The new house has been temporarily placed and it's positioning may well be changed according to suggestions from Samuel.

It's Time for A Change

Those of you who have been following my blog may already have understood that major changes aren't really my forte. Or as my stepson Guyke bluntly tells me, "You don't like changes!"

I don't completely disagree with him, but I would hasten to add that my qualms with change are mainly on an emotional level. When I feel safe and loved I don't mind changes in other areas of my life one bit.

It's a new year and time for a new project at Southern Charm! Faithful readers may remember the last major change on the sim happened during the summer of 2013 when the old ugly house I had been living in since 2008 was torn down and a new modern house was erected in it's place.

This year I got a new house as a Christmas gift from Guyke, after he had carefully showed it to me twice beforehand. The first time I saw the villa I was adamant and told him I didn't like it at all and that I wasn't ready to go through the hassle of moving again so soon after the last rebuild. The second time I saw it I absolutely fell in love with it!

It is a classic french villa with large open spaces called Luton Manor and is made by Redgrave Houses & Homes.
My building team this time around consists of the royal consort and the royal groundskeeper, Tomais and Butch. The two have also benevolently agreed to advise me concerning decorating and other interior design niceties.

The old house has been emptied and taken into Inventory, the beautiful villa has been placed in a preliminary spot, I am awaiting advice on the definite placement from a landscaper who has been contacted, but not yet contracted. He will hopefully also be hired to help with the necessary work on the immediate surroundings of the villa.

The Peril of Staying Away

"Don't have a cow, man" by Dejerrity Mycron

Before I logged off from my SecondLife last night, we (Dej, Tomais & I) decided to pull a prank on Pook Cypher for staying away from us too long.

So we planted a somewhat inebriated cow in-front of Pook's front porch. The poor thing had obviously been partying too much...

The first thing I saw in my email this morning was these offline messages:
[1:43] Dejerrity Mycron: Oh God Pook just logged in
[1:43] Dejerrity Mycron: Say nothing, act casual...

Tomais & I Celebrate Our 1st Anniversary

Shortly after the stroke of midnight (CET) my Tomais and I returned to Southern Charm to celebrate our first wedding (elopement) anniversary.

We danced together in The Aviary and invited my brother Dej to join us there. However, Dej told us he couldn't dance tonight because he was "wearing the wrong underwear", so he sat down to chaperon us instead.  (Let's see if you can figure out that comment.)

This would be a great opportunity to thank my husband for a wonderful year and tell him how happy I am that we have decided to continue together indefinitely.

I love you very much, my darling!

Relaxing

It's been a hectic time with much going on in both my lives. When my husband yesterday came up with the amazing idea that we should just sit on the back porch of the barn and relax I jumped at it.

My English Bulldog Bilbo was there also, whimpering and pining for Dej, who is visiting with his mother and first life family over the holidays. After a while he realized it wasn't helping and went to lie down and catch some sleep.

After Tomais had logged for dinner, I went up into the skies and took into Inventory all the summer and autumn landscaping we had stored up at 1,500 m and 2,000 m in the hopes that the lag that has hit Southern Charm since we started the snowing would lessen, at least a bit.

Who Would've Known...? (Updated)

The lairds groundskeeper Butch Diavolo recently set up home at Southern Charm. He has built himself a suitably humble cottage there, exquisitely (of course) furnished with the best of Van Auster's work from Post.

The evening before last the laird, his spouse and the little prince visited with Butch to talk and relax in the company of friends and family. We all admired the work that Butch had done with decorating the cottage and complimented him for it.
I recognized a fun and beautiful work of art on the wall that has been made by the extremely talented SecondLife photographer Spanki Moulliez. Butch is supposedly one of the avatars in the picture, but it is hard to tell as the three avatars in it all have cardboard boxes pulled over their heads.

We all had a very pleasant evening chatting about everything and nothing. Tomais - who has a reputation of being an expert on male appendages - helped one of us with resizing a dick to more pleasing proportions. All-in-all we had a wonderful evening together.

Who would've known that it was an end of a seven year era?

Update: I have corrected an embarrassing mistake where I named the photographer incorrectly. My apologies to both Spanki and the person I mistakenly named.

Thank you Butch for pointing out my mistake!

Cruising at the Docks

As the Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm etc., etc,. was cruising around the docks today he encountered a sexy and wonderful man. To his amazement he soon realized it was actually his hubby.

Now wasn't that a wonderful coincidence?

The Aviary

The much honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm etc., etc., is a fortunate man to have found a royal consort like Tomais, who with dazzling good looks, devastating charm and impeccable taste can alleviate the lairds burdens.

As you probably are aware, the laird is a conscientious and diligent steward of his realm. He saves no effort in the painstaking upkeep and beautification of his lands. His consort offers him much needed assistance and guidance in these - and all other - matters.

The Balinese building on the home sim has for some time been an unfitting eyesore to the laird. It did not seem to match the rest of the sim, at all, although it had been beautifully exotic at the time when it was once erected.
When Tomais recently suggested a change the laird was slightly wary, but once he was  shown the replacement his husband suggested he was enthusiastic.
The minor princes and princesses of the clan were set to work and managed to demolish the old structure and build the new one in record breaking time.

Southern Charm can now pride itself with a wonderful conservatory, named "The Aviary", where the royal couple can entertain themselves and friends with tea, light refreshments, musical entertainment and dancing.

A Linguistic Mishap

This is a difficult confession, as I have always prided myself of my command of the English language, so I will use my alter-ego when sharing this glimpse into my life with you.
The laird. Photography by J.J. Goodman
The Much Honored Bock McMillan, laird of Southern Charm, prince of Cascade Falls, Sovereign Ruler of the Commonwealth of Southern Enchantment Region and Outer Territories and finally UN appointed Protector of the Solace Island and Mount Whitney sims in SecondLife, was laying in bed with his beloved consort Tomais a few nights ago. (The Solace Island sim no longer enjoys the protection of the laird.)

Earlier the same day the laird had been cleaning out his Inventory and reduced it from 30,430 items to 25,643 by deleting a whole lot of system clothing (except a few who had sentimental value to him). He was pleased with his accomplishment and was now thinking of the next step to take after he had culled his objects folder, his textures folder, his snapshots folder, his note cards folder and his landmarks folder. (Although he himself emphatically maintains otherwise, he really isn't the most patient man in SecondLife, as you can establish from his skipping the arduous work still remaining with the aforementioned folders.)

The laird had, ever since he heard of his consorts neat and well-organized Inventory, wanted to learn how to organize his own Inventory in a similar way so that he would be better able to find what he was looking for and no longer having to rely on dumb luck or that he remembered the correct name of an item. Even though the laird himself is not a pedantic man by nature, he (most likely through his upbringing and his meticulous parents) has always held a deep and lasting admiration for well-organized people, although he tries to hide that fact and talks rather disdainfully about it. He was therefor very eager to learn from his lover how to organize his Inventory better.

But I am procrastinating, onward with this gory confession.
The laird and his consort. Photography by J.J. Goodman
With those thoughts in his mind, the laird turned to his consort and said - in his usual rather bossy way, "Next weekend you really must show me your anal content..."

The laird was not at all prepared for the rumbustious and boisterous laughter that erupted from his lover before he could complete his sentence. He was rather taken aback and wondered what had happened until his lover, still laughing loudly and heavily. managed to squeeze in a coherent sentence, "You want me to show you my shit?"

At which point the laird blushed (which he rarely does) and started stammering that that was indeed not the request he wished to express at all.

After my lover had calmed down, he related a story about his mother who committed a similar faux-pas at a social gathering and very kindly pointed out that such unfortunate occurrences do happen and although embarrassing are never fatal. A while later, once the laird had collected himself, they could both laugh at it.

Haunted Charm

While Tomais and I have been busy autumnizing Southern Charm, my brother Dej has pulled out all stops and gone all in for the upcoming Halloween celebrations.

Everything spooky, scary or ghostly - or remotely associated with any of those concepts . has been dragged out of his inventory and set out on his parcel to guarantee that every visitor gets deliciously cold shivers down their spine and their hearts lodged up in their throats. (We had to extend his parcel to increase his land impact with 600 more prims and still he only has 8 free now...)
Dej's staff of servants have all been assigned their suitable rolls to ensure optimal terror and joyful giggles.

Do you dare try out the nutty professors Orgasmatron X-5000 or how it is too be hung by the neck? Will you dare enter the mausoleum and encounter the horror that awaits you there?

ALL VISITS ARE ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Set your world to midnight and visit Haunted Charm (SLurl).

Please note that you may meet my brother there, either as Count Dejula, the Transylvanian refugee, or as a huge man-eating she-spider with a humongous ass (meaning slightly larger than his usual perky derriere).

Alien Life Form on Southern Charm?

The little princes and princesses at Southern Charm have all gotten their undies in a bundle this morning, especially the biologists and zoologists among them.

What happened was that little princess Magdalene was out early this morning in the woods at Southern Charm. She was bird spotting and taking pictures, she is an avid ornithologist and photographer.

When she looked at her pictures later this morning she spotted something unusual that caught her eye and interest. In the lower right corner of the picture there was something that shouldn't be there. Magdalene shared the magnification below with her fellow ornithologists - and everyone else that cared to look.

"It is definitely humanoid in it's form, but not a human!", the royal natural scientists have concluded after a close scrutiny. "A human does not usually have a tail and this animal most definitely has a bushy striped tail."

My Son As Art

When I logged in yesterday I was soon hailed by my son Guyke, Prince of Paradijs (the traditional title given to the heir to the throne of the realm of Southern Charm). After the usual preliminaries he soon spilled his urgent news.

"I'm in an exhibition!", he said excitedly.
"What do you mean?", I asked, "I know you are an exhibitionist, but what exhibition are you in?"
"You remember, I told you that Ronan Mactavish asked me to pose for him? Well, the pictures are now exhibited."
"Ahh yes, of course I remember. Please send me the landmark and I will go take a look! This should be fun..."

Guyke sent me the landmark to Piazza Siciliana (SLurl) and I arrived safely at the gallery. I was a bit taken aback when I saw the name of the exhibition on the sign at the landing spot.

"Welcome to Ronan Mactavish's Uomini Nudi. Kip.. Jee.. Simon.. Latherblu.. Drey.. Guyke", my Italian isn't great but good enough to realize that I was going to be exposed to images of naked men. The boy hadn't told me that... "If he is sporting an erection I will surely accidentally drown him, even if he is the Crown Prince", I thought to myself as I took three deep breaths and prepared myself for the worst.

I decided to start with the others men in the exhibition and look at Guyke's pictures last, so I could slowly prepare myself for the possible shock.

The exhibition was however extremely tasteful and beautifully composed, so as I moved along through the different sections I felt my fear leaving me. When I finally came to the Guyke-section I was extremely happy to see Ronan's interpretation of my beloved son.

I am happy to say that I can recommend this wonderful exhibition to you all.

I Dreamt of Vanadis

Last night I dreamt one of the weirdest dreams I have ever dreamed before.

Vanadis Falconer
(photo quoted from Facebook)
I dreamt that I was sitting on the terrace of my "palazzo" at Southern Charm with none other than the other Swedish SecondLife blogger Vanadis Falconer. We were talking in voice and were happily chatting away and laughing a lot, although I cannot for the life of me remember what our conversation was about.

Now everyone who knows me well - or has followed my blog through the years - knows that my relationship with Vanadis has been "extremely strained", to say the least.

On June 29th this year I made the unilateral decision to forgive Vanadis, among others whom I felt had wronged me, so that I in time could forget the perceived insults and abuses. I at the same time asked for her forgiveness for my words and actions. Nothing more has come of that, other than the wonderful relief it gave me to get rid of that stinking and heavy burden and to finally let go of the bygone. So it is a complete mystery to me why I had this completely unexpected dream.

I am not even sure how I would actually handle the situation if the opportunity did arise.

Celebrating Le Petit Prince

Yesterday the McMillan clan and friends assembled at the home sim to celebrate the first life birthday of Guyke, Prince of Paradijs (the traditional title of the heir to the throne of Southern Charm), on his 26th birthday - again.
Cupcakes in enormous quantities and varying sizes were served with tea and homemade honey. The laird, who at his advanced age has to be careful with his intake of calories, only ate one cupcake but the younger men could stuff their bellies with many more of the tasty delicacies.

After a short break in the eating to give Guyke his birthday gift the family continued eating ice-cream and popsicles (cool, fruity, creamy and crunchy) on the roof terrace while enjoying a pleasant discussion on current events into the night.

The Story of Guyke

Today is a day of festivities and joy in the kingdom of Southern Charm, for twas 26+ years ago on this very day that a newborn boy child was found on the stairs of the lairdal palace having been placed there by a wretched princess.
Later investigations by the SCSS (Southern Charm Secret Service) showed that it was the poor unwed princess called "Fat Martha" who had given birth to the boy while working in the fields. DNA proved that the father was indeed the late Ars Northmead, although the man vehemently denied having had carnal knowledge of the princess. For a long time it remained a mystery how the conception had taken place. It wasn't until prince Guyke (as the boy child was named) was in his eleventh year that the full sordid story was revealed by an anonymous blogger.

It seems that Fat Martha had come upon Ars while he was resting in a glen in the forest. She had drugged him and then had her way with his beautiful and strong body - or rather had taken full advantage of his unconscious but accommodating body.

The whole kingdom celebrates that the lairds beloved stepson and the heir to the throne of Southern Charm Guyke Lundquist is another year older in his first life, but still none the wiser and as lovable and charming as ever before!

Happy Zesentwintig Weer again my sweet Guykechen. I love you to bits, my darling!

Today at Dejton Abbey

As those of you who read this blog regularly already know, my brother Dej lives on the South West corner of the sim.

Besides having commandeered my English Bulldog Bilbo, who now refuses to leave Dej's side, my brother is also having fun playing with the three statues Tomais and I secretly placed in his home during the Second Pride Festival week.

As a major fan of the British costume drama television series "Downton Abbey", Dej has renamed his parcel "Dejton Abbey".

The cute clothed statue has been named Raoul and works as a kitchen help/bartender (and no doubt repeated one night stand).
Raoul preparing dinner
The other two statues, who have lately been named Adolph and Nom, are a source of fun to us all, as Dej continues to use - and abuse (can one abuse a statue?) - them in various way and setting up entertaining scenes. Adolph is the blond guy and Nom is always on his knees.
